To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. | Au chef de musique. Psaume de David. | To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. | Al músico principal. Salmo de David. | ||
| Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. | Bienheureux celui qui comprend le pauvre ! Au mauvais jour, l'Éternel le délivrera. | Blessed is he that understandeth the poor: Jehovah will deliver him in the day of evil. |
| The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. | Jehovah will preserve him, and keep him alive; he shall be made happy in the land; and thou wilt not deliver him to the will of his enemies. |
| The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. | Jehovah will sustain him upon the bed of languishing: thou turnest all his bed in his sickness. |
| I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. | ✱ J'ai dit : Éternel ! use de grâce envers moi, guéris mon âme, car j'ai péché contre toi. | As for me, I said, Jehovah, be gracious unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. |
| Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish? | Mes ennemis me souhaitent du mal : Quand mourra-t-il ? Quand périra son nom ? | Mine enemies wish me evil: When will he die, and his name perish? |
| And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it. | And if one come to see me , he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth wickedness to itself: he goeth abroad, he telleth it . |
| All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt. | Tous ceux qui me haïssent chuchotent ensemble contre moi ; ils imaginent du mal contre moia : | All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt.
| An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. | A thing of Belial cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he is laid down, he will rise up no more. |
| Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. | Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I confided, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
| But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. | But thou, Jehovah, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. |
| By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. | By this I know that thou delightest in me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. |
| And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. | Et moi, tu m'as maintenu dans mon intégrité, et tu m'as établi devant toi pour toujours. | But as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. | En cuanto a mí, en mi integridad me has sustentado, Y me has hecho estar delante de ti para siempre. |
| Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. Amen, oui, amen ! | Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity! Amen, and Amen. |
