A Psalm of David. | De David | A Psalm of David. | Salmo de David. | ||
| Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. | Strive, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me: | Disputa, oh Jehová, con los que contra mí contienden; Pelea contra los que me combaten. |
| Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. | Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help; | Echa mano al escudo y al pavés, Y levántate en mi ayuda. |
| Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. | And draw out the spear, and stop the way against my pursuers: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. | Saca la lanza, cierra contra mis perseguidores; Di a mi alma: Yo soy tu salvación. |
| Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. | Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt: | Sean avergonzados y confundidos los que buscan mi vida; Sean vueltos atrás y avergonzados los que mi mal intentan. |
| Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them. | Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive them away; | Sean como el tamo delante del viento, Y el ángel de Jehová los acose. |
| Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. | Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of Jehovah pursue them. |
| For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. | For without cause have they hidden for me their net in a pit; without cause they have digged it for my soul. |
| Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. | Let destruction come upon him unawares, and let his net which he hath hidden catch himself: for destruction let him fall therein. |
| And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation. | And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in his salvation. |
| All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him? | All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him! |
| False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. | ✱ Des témoins violents se lèvent, ils m'interrogent sur des choses que je n'ai pas connues ; | Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not.
| They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. | They reward me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul. | Me devuelven mal por bien, Para afligir a mi alma. |
| But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom: | Pero yo, cuando ellos enfermaron, me vestí de cilicio; Afligí con ayuno mi alma, Y mi oración se volvía a mi seno. |
| I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. | I behaved myself as though he had been a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth for a mother. |
| But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: | Mais, dans mon adversité, ils se sont réjouis et se sont rassemblés ; les calomniateurs se sont rassemblés contre moi, et je ne l'ai pas su ; ils m'ont déchiré et n'ont pas cessé ; | But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me , and ceased not: | Pero ellos se alegraron en mi adversidad, y se juntaron; Se juntaron contra mí gentes despreciables, y yo no lo entendía; Me despedazaban sin descanso; |
| With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. | With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me. |
| Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. | Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the young lions. |
| I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. | I will give thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise thee among much people. |
| Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. | Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; let them not wink with the eye that hate me without cause. |
| For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. | For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land. |
| Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. | And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha! aha! our eye hath seen it . |
| This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. | Thou hast seen it , Jehovah: keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me. | Tú lo has visto, oh Jehová; no calles; Señor, no te alejes de mí. |
| Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. | Stir up thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and Lord! | Muévete y despierta para hacerme justicia, Dios mío y Señor mío, para defender mi causa. |
| Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. | Judge me, Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me. | Júzgame conforme a tu justicia, Jehová Dios mío, Y no se alegren de mí. |
| Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. | Let them not say in their heart, Aha! so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up. No digan: ¡Le hemos devorado! |
| Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. | Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine adversity; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. |
| Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. | Let them exult and rejoice that delight in my righteousness; and let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, who delighteth in the prosperity of his servant. |
| And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long. | And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness, and of thy praise, all the day. |
