1 Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? Why, Jehovah, standest thou afar off? Why hidest thou thyself in times of distress?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. ✱ Le méchant, dans son orgueil, poursuit ardemment l'affligé ; ils seront pris dans les trames qu'ils ont ourdies. The wicked, in his pride, doth hotly pursue the afflicted. They shall be taken in the devices that they have imagined. Con arrogancia el malo persigue al pobre;
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth. For the wicked boasteth of his soul's desire, and he blesseth the covetous; he contemneth Jehovah.
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. Le méchant, dans la fierté de sa face, [dit] : Il ne s'enquerra [de rien] a. — Il n'y a point de Dieu : [voilà] toutes ses pensées. The wicked saith , in the haughtiness of his countenance, He doth not search out: all his thoughts are, There is no God! El malo, por la altivez de su rostro, no busca a Dios;
5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. Ses voies réussissent en tout temps ; tes jugements sont trop hauts pour être devant lui ; il souffle contre tous ses adversaires. His ways always succeed; thy judgments are far above out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them. Sus caminos son torcidos en todo tiempo;
Tus juicios los tiene muy lejos de su vista;
A todos sus adversarios desprecia.
6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. Il dit en son cœur : Je ne serai pas ébranlé ; de génération en génération [je ne tomberai] pas dans le malheur. He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; from generation to generation I shall be in no adversity. Dice en su corazón: No seré movido jamás;
Nunca me alcanzará el infortunio.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. His mouth is full of cursing, and deceit, and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. Il se tient aux embuscades des villages ; dans des lieux cachés, il tue l'innocent ; ses yeux épient le malheureux. He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in the secret places doth he slay the innocent: his eyes watch for the wretched. Se sienta en acecho cerca de las aldeas;
En escondrijos mata al inocente.
Sus ojos están acechando al desvalido;
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. Il se tient aux embûches dans un lieu caché, comme un lion dans son fourré ; il se tient aux embûches pour enlever l'affligé ; il enlève l'affligé, quand il l'a attiréc dans son filet. He lieth in wait secretly, like a lion in his thicket; he lieth in wait to catch the afflicted: he doth catch the afflicted, drawing him into his net. Acecha en oculto, como el león desde su cueva;
Acecha para arrebatar al pobre;
Arrebata al pobre trayéndolo a su red.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. He croucheth, he boweth down, that the wretched may fall by his strong ones.
11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. Il dit en son cœur : ∗Dieu a oublié, il cache sa face, il ne verra pas, à jamais. He saith in his heart, *God hath forgotten, he hideth his face, he will never see it . Dice en su corazón: Dios ha olvidado;
Ha encubierto su rostro; nunca lo verá.
12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. ✱ Lève-toi, Éternel ! Ô ∗Dieu, élève ta main ! n'oublie pas les affligése. Arise, Jehovah; O *God, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted. Levántate, oh Jehová Dios, alza tu mano;
No te olvides de los pobres.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? He hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it .
14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. Tu l'as vu, car toi tu regardes la peine et le chagrin pour [les] rendre par ta main ; le malheureux s'abandonne à toi, tu es le secours de l'orphelin. Thou hast seen it , for thou thyself beholdest trouble and vexation, to requite by thy hand. The wretched committeth himself unto thee; thou hast been the helper of the fatherless. Tú lo has visto; porque miras el trabajo y la vejación, para dar la recompensa con tu mano;
A ti se acoge el desvalido;
Tú eres el amparo del huérfano.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. Break thou the arm of the wicked, and as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. ✱ L'Éternel est roi à toujours et à perpétuité ; les nations ont péri de dessus sa terre. Jehovah is King for ever and ever: the nations have perished out of his land. Jehová es Rey eternamente y para siempre;
De su tierra han perecido las naciones.
17 Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: Éternel ! tu as exaucé le désir des débonnaires, tu as établi leur cœur ; tu as prêté l'oreille, Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek, thou hast established their heart: thou causest thine ear to hear, El deseo de los humildes oíste, oh Jehová;
Tú dispones su corazón, y haces atento tu oído,
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress. To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed one, that the man of the earth may terrify no more.
