These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab. |

After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei: |

On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, |

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates. |
Tournez-vous, et partez, et allez à la montagne des Amoréens et dans tous les lieux voisins, dans la plaine, dans la montagne, et dans le pays plat, et dans le midic, et sur le rivage de la mer, au pays des Cananéens et au Liban, jusqu'au grand fleuve, le fleuve Euphrate. |

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them. |
Regarde, j'ai mis le pays devant vous : entrez, et possédez le pays que l'Éternel a juré à vos pères, à Abraham, à Isaac, et à Jacob, de leur donner, et à leur semence après eux. |

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you. |
Donnez-vous des hommes sages, et intelligents, et connus, selon vos tribus, et je les établirai chefsd sur vous. |

So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes. |
Et je pris les chefsd de vos tribus, des hommes sages et connus, et je les établis chefsd sur vous, chefs de milliers, et chefs de centaines, et chefs de cinquantaines, et chefs de dizaines, et officierse sur vos tribus. |

So I took the chiefs of your tribes, wise men and known, and made them chiefs over you, captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens, and officers for your tribes. |
Y tomé a los principales de vuestras tribus, varones sabios y expertos, y los puse por jefes sobre vosotros, jefes de millares, de centenas, de cincuenta y de diez, y gobernadores de vuestras tribus. |

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him. |
— Et je commandai à vos juges, en ce temps-là, disant : Écoutez [les différends] entre vos frères, et jugez avec justice entre un homme et son frère, et l'étranger qui est avec lui. |

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. |
Vous ne ferez point acception des personnes dans le jugement ; vous entendrez aussi bien le petit que le grand ; vous n'aurez peur d'aucun homme, car le jugement est de Dieu ; et l'affaire qui sera trop difficile pour vous, vous me la présenterez, et je l'entendrai. |

And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the Lord our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh–barnea. |
Et nous partîmes d'Horeb, et nous traversâmes tout ce grand et terrible désert que vous avez vu, le chemin de la montagne des Amoréens, comme l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous l'avait commandé, et nous vînmes jusqu'à Kadès-Barnéa. |

And we departed from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw, on the way to the mountain of the Amorites, as Jehovah our God had commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea. |
Y salidos de Horeb, anduvimos todo aquel grande y terrible desierto que habéis visto, por el camino del monte del amorreo, como Jehová nuestro Dios nos lo mandó; y llegamos hasta Cades-barnea. |

And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the Lord our God doth give unto us. |
Et je vous dis : Vous êtes arrivés jusqu'à la montagne des Amoréens, laquelle l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous donne. |

Entonces os dije: Habéis llegado al monte del amorreo, el cual Jehová nuestro Dios nos da. |

Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. |
Regarde, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a mis devant toi le pays : monte, prends possession, comme l'Éternel, le Dieu de tes pères, te l'a dit ; ne crains point et ne t'effraye point. |

Behold, Jehovah thy God hath set the land before thee: go up, take possession, as Jehovah the God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be dismayed. |

And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come. |
Et vous vous approchâtes tous de moi, et vous dîtes : Envoyons des hommes devant nous, et ils examineront le pays pour nous, et ils nous rapporteront des nouvelles du chemin par lequel nous pourrons monter et des villes auxquelles nous viendrons. |

And ye came near to me all of you, and said, We will send men before us, who shall examine the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up, and of the cities to which we shall come. |
Y vinisteis a mí todos vosotros, y dijisteis: Enviemos varones delante de nosotros que nos reconozcan la tierra, y a su regreso nos traigan razón del camino por donde hemos de subir, y de las ciudades adonde hemos de llegar. |

And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe: |
Et la chose fut bonne à mes yeux, et je pris d'entre vous douze hommes, un homme par tribu. |

And the matter was good in mine eyes; and I took twelve men of you, one man for a tribe. |
Y el dicho me pareció bien; y tomé doce varones de entre vosotros, un varón por cada tribu. |

And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out. |
Et ils se tournèrent, et montèrent dans la montagne, et vinrent jusqu'au torrentf d'Eshcol, et explorèrent le [pays]. |

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the Lord our God doth give us. |
Et ils prirent dans leurs mains du fruit du pays et nous l'apportèrent, et ils nous rendirent compte et dirent : Le pays que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous donne, est bon. |

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hand, and brought it down unto us, and brought us answer, and said, The land is good that Jehovah our God hath given us. |
Y tomaron en sus manos del fruto del país, y nos lo trajeron, y nos dieron cuenta, y dijeron: Es buena la tierra que Jehová nuestro Dios nos da. |

Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God: |
Mais vous ne voulûtes pas monter, et vous fûtes rebelles au commandementg de l'Éternel, votre Dieu. |

But ye would not go up, and rebelled against the word of Jehovah your God; |
Sin embargo, no quisisteis subir, antes fuisteis rebeldes al mandato de Jehová vuestro Dios;c |

And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the Lord hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. |
Et vous murmurâtes dans vos tentes et vous dîtes : C'est parce que l'Éternel nous hait, qu'il nous a fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, afin de nous livrer aux mains des Amoréens, pour nous détruire. |

and ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because Jehovah hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. |
y murmurasteis en vuestras tiendas, diciendo: Porque Jehová nos aborrece, nos ha sacado de tierra de Egipto, para entregarnos en manos del amorreo para destruirnos. |

Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. |
Où monterions-nous ? Nos frères nous ont fait fondre le cœur, en disant : [C'est] un peuple plus grand et de plus haute taille que nous ; les villes sont grandes, et murées jusqu'aux cieux ; et de plus nous avons vu là des fils des Anakim. |

Whither shall we go up? Our brethren have made our hearts melt, saying, They are a people greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there. |
¿A dónde subiremos? Nuestros hermanos han atemorizado nuestro corazón, diciendo: Este pueblo es mayor y más alto que nosotros, las ciudades grandes y amuralladas hasta el cielo; y también vimos allí a los hijos de Anac. |

Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. |
— Et je vous dis : Ne vous épouvantez pas, et ne les craignez point ; |

Entonces os dije: No temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos. |

The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; |
l'Éternel, votre Dieu, qui marche devant vous, combattra lui-même pour vous, selon tout ce qu'il a fait pour vous sous vos yeux, en Égypte, et dans le désert, |

Jehovah your God who goeth before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; |
Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual va delante de vosotros, él peleará por vosotros, conforme a todas las cosas que hizo por vosotros en Egipto delante de vuestros ojos. |

And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. |
où tu as vu que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a porté comme un homme porte son fils, dans tout le chemin où vous avez marché, jusqu'à ce que vous soyez arrivés en ce lieu-ci. |

and in the wilderness where thou hast seen that Jehovah thy God bore thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came to this place. |
Y en el desiertod has visto que Jehová tu Dios te ha traído, como trae el hombre a su hijo, por todo el camino que habéis andado, hasta llegar a este lugar. |

Yet in this thing ye did not believe the Lord your God, |
Mais, dans cette circonstanceh, vous ne crûtes pointi l'Éternel, votre Dieu, |

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. |
qui, afin de reconnaître pour vous un lieu pour que vous y campiez, allait devant vous dans le chemin, la nuit, dans le feu, pour vous faire voir le chemin où vous deviez marcher, et, le jour, dans la nuée. |

who went in the way before you, to search you out a place for your encamping, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in the cloud by day. |
quien iba delante de vosotros por el camino para reconoceros el lugar donde habíais de acampar, con fuego de noche para mostraros el camino por donde anduvieseis, y con nube de día. |

And the Lord heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, |
Et l'Éternel entendit la voix de vos paroles et fut courroucé, et jura, disant : |

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers, |
Si aucun de ces hommes, de cette génération méchante, voit ce bon pays que j'ai juré de donner à vos pères !… |

None among these men, this evil generation, shall in any wise see that good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers! |
No verá hombre alguno de estos, de esta mala generación, la buena tierra que juré que había de dar a vuestros padres,f |

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord. |
excepté Caleb, fils de Jephunné : lui, le verra, et je lui donnerai, et à ses fils, le pays où il a marchéj, parce qu'il a pleinement suivi l'Éternel. |

Except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed Jehovah. |

Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither. |
Contre moi aussi l'Éternel s'irrita, à cause de vous, disant : Toi non plus, tu n'y entreras pas. |

But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. |
Josué, fils de Nun, qui se tient devant toi, lui, y entrera ; fortifie-le, car c'est lui qui le fera hériter à Israël. |

Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. |
Et vos petits enfants dont vous avez dit qu'ils seraient une proie, et vos fils qui aujourd'hui ne connaissent pas le bien et le mal, ceux-là y entreront, et c'est à eux que je le donnerai, et ils le posséderont. |

And your little ones, of whom ye said, They shall be a prey, and your children, who this day know neither good nor evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. |
Y vuestros niños, de los cuales dijisteis que servirían de botín, y vuestros hijos que no saben hoy lo bueno ni lo malo, ellos entrarán allá, y a ellos la daré, y ellos la heredarán. |

Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the Lord, we will go up and fight, according to all that the Lord our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill. |
— Et vous répondîtes et me dîtes : Nous avons péché contre l'Éternel ; nous monterons, et nous combattrons, selon tout ce que l'Éternel, notre Dieu, nous a commandé. Et vous ceignîtes chacun ses armes de guerre, et légèrement vous entreprîtes de monter dans la montagne. |

--And ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against Jehovah, we will go up and fight, according to all that Jehovah our God hath commanded us. And ye girded on every man his weapons of war, and ye would go presumptuously up the hill. |
Entonces respondisteis y me dijisteis: Hemos pecado contra Jehová; nosotros subiremos y pelearemos, conforme a todo lo que Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mandado. Y os armasteis cada uno con sus armas de guerra, y os preparasteis para subir al monte. |

And the Lord said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. |
Et l'Éternel me dit : Dis-leur : Ne montez pas, et ne combattez pas, car je ne suis point au milieu de vous, afin que vous ne soyez pas battus park vos ennemis. |

And Jehovah said to me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies. |
Y Jehová me dijo: Diles: No subáis, ni peleéis, pues no estoy entre vosotros; para que no seáis derrotados por vuestros enemigos. |

So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, and went presumptuously up into the hill. |
Et je vous parlai ; mais vous n'écoutâtes point, et vous fûtes rebelles contre le commandementg de l'Éternel, et vous fûtes présomptueux, et montâtes dans la montagne. |

And I spoke unto you, but ye would not hear, and ye rebelled against the word of Jehovah, and acted presumptuously, and went up the hill. |
Y os hablé, y no disteis oído; antes fuisteis rebeldes al mandato de Jehová, y persistiendo con altivez subisteis al monte. |

And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah. |
