And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: |
☆ Et il arrivera que si tu écoutes attentivement la voix de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, pour prendre garde à pratiquer tous ses commandements que je te commande aujourd'hui, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te mettra très-haut au-dessus de toutes les nations de la terre ; |

L'Éternel enverra sur toi la malédiction, le trouble, et la réprobation, dans tout ce à quoi tu mettras ta main [et] que tu feras, jusqu'à ce que tu sois détruit, et jusqu'à ce que tu périsses rapidement, à cause de la méchanceté de tes actions, en ce que tu m'as abandonné. |

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: |

A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: |

And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. |

And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. |
Et elle t'assiégera dans toutes tes portes, jusqu'à ce que s'écroulent, dans tout ton pays, tes hautes et fortes murailles en lesquelles tu te confiais ; et elle t'assiégera dans toutes tes portes, dans tout ton pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'a donné. |

And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: |
Et, dans le siège et dans la détresse dont ton ennemi t'enserrera, tu mangeras le fruit de ton ventre, la chair de tes fils et de tes filles que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, t'aura donnés. |

So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: |
L'homme tendre et très-délicat au milieu de toi regardera d'un œil méchant son frère et la femme de son cœure, et le reste de ses fils qu'il a conservés, |

The eye of the man in thy midst that is tender and very luxurious shall be evil towards his brother, and the wife of his bosom, and the residue of his children which he hath left; |
El hombre tierno en medio de ti, y el muy delicado, mirará con malos ojos a su hermano, y a la mujer de su seno, y al resto de sus hijos que le quedaren; |

So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. |
pour ne donner à aucun d'eux de la chair de ses fils qu'il mangera ; parce que, dans le siège et dans la détresse dont ton ennemi t'enserrera dans toutes tes portes, il ne lui restera rien. |

La tierna y la delicada entre vosotros, que nunca la planta de su pie intentaría sentar sobre la tierra, de pura delicadeza y ternura, mirará con malos ojos al marido de su seno, a su hijo, a su hija, |

And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. |
à cause de son arrière-faix qui sera sorti d'entre ses pieds, et de ses fils qu'elle enfantera ; car elle les mangera en secret, dans la disette de toutes choses, dans le siège et dans la détresse dont ton ennemi t'enserrera dans tes portes. |

Si tu ne prends pas garde à faire toutes les paroles de cette loi, qui sont écrites dans ce livre, pour craindre ce nom glorieux et terrible de l'Éternel, ton Dieu : |

Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. |

L'Éternel fera venir aussi sur toi toutes les maladies et toutes les plaies qui ne sont pas écrites dans le livre de cette loi, jusqu'à ce que tu sois détruit. |

And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God. |
Et vous resterez un petit nombre d'hommes, au lieu que vous étiez comme les étoiles des cieux en multitude ; parce que tu n'as pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel, ton Dieu. |

And ye shall be left a small company, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou hast not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah thy God. |
Y quedaréis pocos en número, en lugar de haber sido como las estrellas del cielo en multitud, por cuanto no obedecisteis a la voz de Jehová tu Dios. |

And it shall come to pass, that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
Et il arrivera que, comme l'Éternel se réjouissait à votre égard, pour vous faire du bien et pour vous multiplier, ainsi l'Éternel se réjouira à votre égard, pour vous faire périr et pour vous détruire ; et vous serez arrachés de dessus la terre où tu vas entrer pour la posséder. |

And it shall come to pass, that as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whereunto thou goest to possess it. |
Así como Jehová se gozaba en haceros bien y en multiplicaros, así se gozará Jehová en arruinaros y en destruiros; y seréis arrancados de sobre la tierra a la cual entráis para tomar posesión de ella. |

And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. |
Et l'Éternel te dispersera parmi tous les peuples, d'un bout de la terre jusqu'à l'autre bout de la terre ; et là tu serviras d'autres dieux, que ni toi ni tes pères vous n'avez connus, le bois et la pierre. |

And Jehovah will scatter thee among all peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and thou shalt there serve other gods, whom thou hast not known, neither thou nor thy fathers, wood and stone. |
Y Jehová te esparcirá por todos los pueblos, desde un extremo de la tierra hasta el otro extremo; y allí servirás a dioses ajenos que no conociste tú ni tus padres, al leño y a la piedra. |

And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: |
Et parmi ces nations tu n'auras pas de tranquillité, et il n'y aura pas de repos pour la plante de ton pied ; et l'Éternel te donnera là un cœur tremblant, et des yeux languissants, et une âme défaillante. |

And among these nations shalt thou have no rest, neither shall the sole of thy foot have a resting-place, and Jehovah shall give thee there a trembling heart, languishing of the eyes, and pining of the soul. |
Y ni aun entre estas naciones descansarás, ni la planta de tu pie tendrá reposo; pues allí te dará Jehová corazón temeroso, y desfallecimiento de ojos, y tristeza de alma; |

And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: |
Et ta vie sera en suspens devant toi ; et tu seras dans l'effroi, nuit et jour, et tu ne seras pas sûr de ta vie. |

And thy life shall hang in suspense before thee; and thou shalt be in terror day and night and shalt be afraid of thy life. |
y tendrás tu vida como algo que pende delante de ti, y estarás temeroso de noche y de día, y no tendrás seguridad de tu vida. |

In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. |
Le matin tu diras : Qui donnera le soir ? et le soir tu diras : Qui donnera le matin ? à cause de l'effroi de ton cœur dont tu seras effrayé, et à cause des choses que tu verras de tes yeux. |

In the morning thou shalt say, Would that it were even! and in the evening thou shalt say, Would that it were morning! through the fright of thy heart wherewith thou shalt be in terror, and through the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. |

And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. |
Et l'Éternel te fera retourner en Égypte sur des navires, par le chemin dont je t'ai dit : Tu ne le reverras plus. Et là vous vous vendrez à vos ennemis pour être serviteurs et servantes, et il n'y aura pas d'acheteur. |

And Jehovah will bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it again no more; and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and there shall be no man to buy you . |
Y Jehová te hará volver a Egipto en naves, por el camino del cual te ha dicho: Nunca más volverás; y allí seréis vendidos a vuestros enemigos por esclavos y por esclavas, y no habrá quien os compre. |
