8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. 15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. ✱ Mais Jeshurunf s'est engraissé, et a regimbé : tu es devenu gras, gros, replet ; et il a abandonné le †Dieug qui l'a fait, et il a méprisé le Rocher de son salut. 16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. 17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. 18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. Tu as oublié le Rocher qui t'a engendré, et tu as mis en oubli le ∗Dieu qui t'a enfanté. 19 And when the Lord saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. Et l'Éternel l'a vu et les a rejetés, par indignation contreh ses fils et ses filles. 20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. 21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. Ils m'ont ému à jalousie par ce qui n'est point ∗Dieu, ils m'ont provoqué à colère par leurs vanités ; et moi, je les exciterai à la jalousie par ce qui n'est pas un peuple, je les provoquerai à la colère par une nation insensée. 22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. Car un feu s'est allumé dans ma colère, et il brûlera jusqu'au shéoli le plus profond, et dévorera la terre et son rapport, et embrasera les fondements des montagnes. For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And it shall burn into the lowest Sheol, And shall consume the earth and its produce, And set fire to the foundations of the mountains. Porque fuego se ha encendido en mi ira,
Y arderá hasta las profundidades del Seol;
Devorará la tierra y sus frutos,

23 I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them. J'accumulerai sur eux des maux ; j'épuiserai contre eux mes flèches. I will heap mischiefs upon them; Mine arrows will I spend against them. Yo amontonaré males sobre ellos;
Emplearé en ellos mis saetas.
24 They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust. Ils seront consumés par la famine et rongés par des ardeurs dévorantes, et par une peste maligne ;
Et j'enverrai contre eux la dent des bêtes, avec le venin de ce qui rampe dans la poussière.		 They shall be consumed with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, And with poisonous pestilence; And the teeth of beasts will I send against them, With the poison of what crawleth in the dust. 25 The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs. Au dehors l'épée, et au dedans la terreur, détruirontj le jeune homme et la vierge, l'enfant qui tète et l'homme à cheveux blancs. From without shall the sword bereave them, and in the chambers, terror--Both the young man and the virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs. Por fuera desolará la espada,
Y dentro de las cámaras el espanto;
Así al joven como a la doncella,
Al niño de pecho como al hombre cano.
26 I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men: Je dirais : Je les disperserai, j'abolirai du milieu des hommes leur mémoire, I would say, I will scatter, I will make the remembrance of them to cease from among men, Yo había dicho que los esparciría lejos,
Que haría cesar de entre los hombres la memoria de ellos,
27 Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the Lord hath not done all this. si je ne craignais la provocation de l'ennemi, que leurs adversaires ne s'y méprissent et qu'ils ne dissent : Notre main est élevée, et ce n'est pas l'Éternel qui a fait tout cela. If I did not fear provocation from the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misunderstand it, Lest they should say, Our hand is high, and Jehovah has not done all this. De no haber temido la provocación del enemigo,
No sea que se envanezcan sus adversarios,
No sea que digan: Nuestra mano poderosa
Ha hecho todo esto, y no Jehová.
28 For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. Car ils sont une nation qui a perdu le conseil, et il n'y a en eux aucune intelligence. For they are a nation void of counsel, And understanding is not in them. Porque son nación privada de consejos,
Y no hay en ellos entendimiento.
29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! ✱ Oh ! s'ils eussent été sages, ils eussent compris ceci, ils eussent considéré leur fin ! Oh that they had been wise! they would have understood this, They would have considered their latter end! ¡Ojalá fueran sabios, que comprendieran esto,
Y se dieran cuenta del fin que les espera!
30 How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up? Comment un seul en eût-il poursuivi mille, et deux en eussent-ils mis en fuite dix mille, si leur Rocher ne les avait pas vendus, et si l'Éternel ne les avait pas livrés ? How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Were it not that their Rock had sold them, And Jehovah had delivered them up? ¿Cómo podría perseguir uno a mil,
Y dos hacer huir a diez mil,
Si su Roca no los hubiese vendido,
Y Jehová no los hubiera entregado?
31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. Car leur rocher n'est pas comme notre Rocher, et nos ennemis en sont juges. For their rock is not as our Rock: Let our enemies themselves be judges. Porque la roca de ellos no es como nuestra Roca,
Y aun nuestros enemigos son de ello jueces.
32 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: Car leur vigne est de la vigne de Sodome et du terroir de Gomorrhe ;
Leurs raisins sont des raisins vénéneux, et leurs grappes sont amères ;		 For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of poison, Bitter are their clusters; Porque de la vid de Sodoma es la vid de ellos,
Y de los campos de Gomorra;
Las uvas de ellos son uvas ponzoñosas,
Racimos muy amargos tienen.
33 Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. Leur vin est un venin de monstres et un poison cruel d'aspic. Their wine is the poison of dragons, And the cruel venom of vipers. Veneno de serpientes es su vino,

34 Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? ✱ Cela n'est-il pas caché par devers moi, scellé dans mes trésors ? Is not this hidden with me, Sealed up among my treasures? ¿No tengo yo esto guardado conmigo,
Sellado en mis tesoros?
35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. À moi la vengeance et la rétribution, au temps où leur pied bronchera.
Car le jour de leur calamité est proche, et ce qui leur est préparé se hâte.		 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, For the time when their foot shall slip. For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that shall come upon them make haste. Mía es la venganzad y la retribución;
A su tiempo su pie resbalará,

36 For the Lord shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. Car l'Éternel jugera son peuple, et se repentira en faveur de ses serviteurs, quand il verra que la forcek s'en est allée, et qu'il n'y a plus personne, homme lié ou homme libre. For Jehovah will judge his people, And shall repent in favour of his servants; When he seeth that power is gone, And there is none shut up or left. Porque Jehová juzgará a su pueblo,
Y por amor de sus siervos se arrepentirá,
Cuando viere que la fuerza pereció,
Y que no queda ni siervo ni libre.
37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, Et il dira : Où sont leurs dieux, le rocher en qui ils se confiaient, And he shall say, Where are their gods, Their rock in whom they trusted, Y dirá: ¿Dónde están sus dioses,
La roca en que se refugiaban;
38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection. Qui mangeaient la graisse de leurs sacrifices, [et] buvaient le vin de leurs libations ?
Qu'ils se lèvent, et qu'ils vous secourent, qu'ils soient une retraite pour vous !		 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, And drank the wine of their drink-offering? Let them rise up and help you, That there may be a protection over you. Que comían la grosura de sus sacrificios,
Y bebían el vino de sus libaciones?
Levántense, que os ayuden

39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. Voyez maintenant que c'est moi, moi, le Mêmel, et il n'y a point de dieu à côté de moi ;

40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. Car je lève ma main aux cieux, et je dis : Je vis éternellement. For I lift up my hand to the heavens, and say, I live for ever! Porque yo alzaré a los cielos mi mano,
Y diré: Vivo yo para siempre,
41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. Si j'aiguise l'éclair de mon épée et que ma main saisisse le jugement, je rendrai la vengeance à mes adversaires et je récompenserai ceux qui me haïssent. If I have sharpened my gleaming sword, And my hand take hold of judgment, I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me. Si afilare mi reluciente espada,
Y echare mano del juicio,
Yo tomaré venganza de mis enemigos,
Y daré la retribución a los que me aborrecen.
42 I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. J'enivrerai mes flèches de sang, et mon épée dévorera de la chair ; [je les enivrerai] du sang des tués et des captifs, de la tête des chefsm de l'ennemi. Mine arrows will I make drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; I will make them drunk with the blood of the slain and of the captives, With the head of the princes of the enemy. Embriagaré de sangre mis saetas,
Y mi espada devorará carne;
En la sangre de los muertos y de los cautivos,

43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people. Réjouissez-vous, nations, [avec] son peuple ; car il vengera le sang de ses serviteurs, et il rendra la vengeance à ses adversaires, et il pardonneran à sa terre, à son peuple. Shout for joy, ye nations, with his people, For he avengeth the blood of his servants, And rendereth vengeance to his enemies, And maketh atonement for his land, for his people. 44 And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun. ☆ Et Moïse vint, et prononça toutes les paroles de ce cantique aux oreilles du peuple, lui et Josuéo, fils de Nun. And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea the son of Nun. 45 And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel: Et Moïse acheva de prononcer toutes ces paroles à tout Israël, And when Moses had ended speaking all these words to all Israel, Y acabó Moisés de recitar todas estas palabras a todo Israel;
46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. et il leur dit : Appliquez votre cœur à toutes les paroles par lesquelles je rends témoignage parmi vous aujourd'hui, pour les commander à vos fils, afin qu'ils prennent garde à pratiquer toutes les paroles de cette loi. he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words that I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to take heed to do, all the words of this law. y les dijo: Aplicad vuestro corazón a todas las palabras que yo os testifico hoy, para que las mandéis a vuestros hijos, a fin de que cuiden de cumplir todas las palabras de esta ley.
47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. Car ce n'est pas ici une parole vaine pour vous, mais c'est votre vie ; et par cette parole vous prolongerez [vos] jours sur la terre où, en passant le Jourdain, vous [entrez] afin de la posséder. For it is no vain word for you, but it is your life, and through this word ye shall prolong your days on the land whereunto ye pass over the Jordan to possess it. Porque no os es cosa vana; es vuestra vida, y por medio de esta ley haréis prolongar vuestros días sobre la tierra adonde vais, pasando el Jordán, para tomar posesión de ella.
48 And the Lord spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying, Et, en ce même jour, l'Éternel parla à Moïse, disant : And Jehovah spoke to Moses that same day, saying, Y habló Jehová a Moisés aquel mismo día, diciendo:
49 Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: Monte sur cette montagne d'Abarim, le mont Nebo, qui est dans le pays de Moab, qui est vis-à-vis de Jéricho ; et regarde le pays de Canaan que je donne en possession aux fils d'Israël. Go up into this mountain Abarim, mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, which is opposite Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession, Sube a este monte de Abarim, al monte Nebo, situado en la tierra de Moab que está frente a Jericó, y mira la tierra de Canaán, que yo doy por heredad a los hijos de Israel;

51 Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah–Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. parce que vous avez été infidèles envers moi, au milieu des fils d'Israël, aux eaux de Meriba-Kadès, dans le désert de Tsin, en ce que vous ne m'avez pas sanctifié au milieu des fils d'Israël. because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye hallowed me not in the midst of the children of Israel. por cuanto pecasteis contra mí en medio de los hijos de Israel en las aguas de Meriba de Cades, en el desierto de Zin; porque no me santificasteis en medio de los hijos de Israel.
52 Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel. Car tu verras devant toi le pays, mais tu n'y entreras pas, dans le pays que je donne aux fils d'Israël. Verás, por tanto, delante de ti la tierra; mas no entrarás allá, a la tierra que doy a los hijos de Israel.g
