These are the words of the covenant, which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb. |

And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land; |
Vous avez vu tout ce que l'Éternel a fait devant vos yeux dans le pays d'Égypte, au Pharaon, et à tous ses serviteurs, et à tout son pays : |

Moisés, pues, llamó a todo Israel, y les dijo: Vosotros habéis visto todo lo que Jehová ha hecho delante de vuestros ojos en la tierra de Egipto a Faraón y a todos sus siervos, y a toda su tierra, |

Yet the Lord hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day. |
Mais l'Éternel ne vous a pas donné un cœur pour connaître, ni des yeux pour voir, ni des oreilles pour entendre, jusqu'à ce jour. |

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. |
Et je vous ai conduits quarante ans par le désert : vos vêtements ne se sont pas usés sur vous, et ta sandale ne s'est pas usée à ton pied. |

Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the Lord your God. |
Vous n'avez pas mangé de pain, et vous n'avez bu ni vin ni boisson forte, afin que vous connussiez que moi, l'Éternel, je suis votre Dieua. |

And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them: |
Et vous parvîntes en ce lieu-ci ; et Sihon, roi de Hesbon, et Og, le roi de Basan, sortirent à notre rencontre pour nous livrer bataille, et nous les battîmes ; |

Y llegasteis a este lugar, y salieron Sehón rey de Hesbóna y Og rey de Basánb delante de nosotros para pelear, y los derrotamos; |

And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh. |
et nous prîmes leur pays, et nous le donnâmes en héritage aux Rubénites, et aux Gadites, et à la demi-tribu des Manassites. |

Ye stand this day all of you before the Lord your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel, |
Vous vous tenez tous aujourd'hui devant l'Éternel, votre Dieu, vos chefs, vos tribus, vos anciens, et vos magistratsb, |

Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water: |
tout homme d'Israël, vos enfants, vos femmes, et ton étranger qui est au milieu de ton camp, ton coupeur de bois aussi bien que ton puiseur d'eau ; |

That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the Lord thy God, and into his oath, which the Lord thy God maketh with thee this day: |
afin que tu entres dans l'alliance de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et dans son serment, que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, fait aujourd'hui avec toi ; |

But with him that standeth here with us this day before the Lord our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day: |

(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by; |

et vous avez vu leurs abominations, et leurs idolesc, du bois et de la pierre, de l'argent et de l'or, qui sont parmi eux) ; |

Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; |
de peur qu'il n'y ait parmi vous homme, ou femme, ou famille, ou tribu, dont le cœur se détourne aujourd'hui d'avec l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour aller servir les dieux de ces nations ; de peur qu'il n'y ait parmi vous une racine qui produise du poison et de l'absinthe, |

No sea que haya entre vosotros varón o mujer, o familia o tribu, cuyo corazón se aparte hoy de Jehová nuestro Dios, para ir a servir a los dioses de esas naciones; no sea que haya en medio de vosotros raíz que produzca hiel y ajenjo,d |

And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: |
et qu'il n'arrive que quelqu'un, en entendant les paroles de ce serment, ne se bénisse dans son cœur, disant : J'aurai la paix, lors même que je marcherai dans l'obstination de mon cœur, afin de détruire ce qui est arroséd, et ce qui est altéré. |

and it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to sweep away the drunken with the thirsty. |
y suceda que al oír las palabras de esta maldición, él se bendiga en su corazón, diciendo: Tendré paz, aunque ande en la dureza de mi corazón, a fin de que con la embriaguez quite la sed. |

The Lord will not spare him, but then the anger of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven. |
L'Éternel ne voudra pas lui pardonner, mais la colère de l'Éternel et sa jalousie fumeront alors contre cet homme ; et toute la malédictione qui est écrite dans ce livre reposera sur lui ; et l'Éternel effacera son nom de dessous les cieux ; |

Jehovah will not pardon him, but the anger of Jehovah and his jealousy will then smoke against that man, and all the curse shall be upon him that is written in this book; and Jehovah will blot out his name from under the heavens; |
No querrá Jehová perdonarlo, sino que entonces humeará la ira de Jehová y su celo sobre el tal hombre, y se asentará sobre él toda maldición escrita en este libro, y Jehová borrará su nombre de debajo del cielo; |

And the Lord shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law: |
et l'Éternel le séparera de toutes les tribus d'Israël pour le malheur, selon toutes les malédictions de l'alliance qui est écrite dans ce livre de la loi. |

and Jehovah will separate him for mischief out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that is written in this book of the law. |
y lo apartará Jehová de todas las tribus de Israel para mal, conforme a todas las maldiciones del pacto escrito en este libro de la ley. |

So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the Lord hath laid upon it; |
Et la génération à venir, vos fils qui se lèveront après vous, et l'étranger qui viendra d'un pays éloigné, diront, lorsqu'ils verront les plaies de ce pays, et ses maladies, dont l'Éternel l'aura affligé ; |

And the generation to come, your children who shall rise up after you, and the foreigner that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and its sicknesses wherewith Jehovah hath visited it, |
Y dirán las generaciones venideras, vuestros hijos que se levanten después de vosotros, y el extranjero que vendrá de lejanas tierras, cuando vieren las plagas de aquella tierra, y sus enfermedades de que Jehová la habrá hecho enfermar |

And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: |
[et] que tout son sol n'est que soufre et sel, — un embrasement (qu'il n'est pas semé, et qu'il ne fait rien germer, et qu'aucune herbe n'y pousse), comme la subversion de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, d'Adma et de Tseboïm, que l'Éternel détruisit dans sa colère et dans sa fureur, |

Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger? |
— toutes les nations diront : Pourquoi l'Éternel a-t-il fait ainsi à ce pays ? d'où vient l'ardeur de cette grande colère ? |

Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt: |
Et on dira : C'est parce qu'ils ont abandonné l'alliance de l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, qu'il avait faite avec eux quand il les fit sortir du pays d'Égypte ; |

Y responderán: Por cuanto dejaron el pacto de Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que él concertó con ellos cuando los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, |

For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them: |
et ils sont allés, et ont servi d'autres dieux, et se sont prosternés devant eux, des dieux qu'ils n'avaient pas connus et qu'il ne leur avait pas donnés en partage. |

y fueron y sirvieron a dioses ajenos, y se inclinaron a ellos, dioses que no conocían, y que ninguna cosa les habían dado. |

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: |
Et la colère de l'Éternel s'est embrasée contre ce pays, pour faire venir sur lui toute la malédiction écrite dans ce livre. |

And the Lord rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day. |
Et l'Éternel les a arrachés de dessus leur terre dans [sa] colère, et dans [sa] fureur, et dans [sa] grande indignation, et les a chassés dans un autre pays, comme [il paraît] aujourd'hui. |

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. |
Les choses cachées sont à l'Éternel, notre Dieu ; et les choses révélées sont à nous et à nos fils, à toujours, afin que nous pratiquions toutes les paroles de cette loi. |

The hidden things belong to Jehovah our God; but the revealed ones are ours and our children's for ever, to do all the words of this law. |
Las cosas secretas pertenecen a Jehová nuestro Dios; mas las reveladas son para nosotros y para nuestros hijos para siempre, para que cumplamos todas las palabras de esta ley. |
