1 We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. Ô Dieu ! nous avons entendu de nos oreilles, nos pères nous ont raconté l'œuvre que tu as opérée dans leurs jours, aux jours d'autrefois. O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, the work thou wroughtest in their days, in the days of old: Oh Dios, con nuestros oídos hemos oído, nuestros padres nos han contado,
La obra que hiciste en sus días, en los tiempos antiguos.
2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. Tu as, par ta main, dépossédé les nations, et tu as planté nos pèresa ; tu as affligé les peuples et tu les as chassésb. Thou, by thy hand, didst dispossess the nations, but them thou didst plant; thou didst afflict the peoples, but them didst thou cause to spread out. Tú con tu mano echaste las naciones, y los plantaste a ellos;
Afligiste a los pueblos, y los arrojaste.
3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. Car ce n'est point par leur épée qu'ils ont possédé le pays, et ce n'est pas leur bras qui les a sauvés ; car c'est ta droite et ton bras et la lumière de ta face, parce que tu avais pris ton plaisir en eux. Manda salvación a Jacob.
5 Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. Avec toi, nous frapperons nos adversaires ; par ton nom, nous foulerons ceux qui s'élèvent contre nous. En tu nombre hollaremos a nuestros adversarios.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. Car ce n'est pas en mon arc que je me confie, et mon épée ne me sauvera point ; For I will not put confidence in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. Porque no confiaré en mi arco,
Ni mi espada me salvará;
7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. Car tu nous as sauvés de nos adversaires, et tu rends confus ceux qui nous haïssent. Y has avergonzado a los que nos aborrecían.

Y no sales con nuestros ejércitos.
10 Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves. 11 Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen. Tu nous as livrés comme des brebis [destinées] à être mangées, et tu nous as dispersés parmi les nations ; Thou hast given us over like sheep appointed for meat, and hast scattered us among the nations; Nos entregas como ovejas al matadero,
Y nos has esparcido entre las naciones.
12 Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price. Tu as vendu ton peuple pour rien, et tu ne t'es pas agrandi par leur prixd ; Thou hast sold thy people for nought, and hast not increased thy wealth by their price; Has vendido a tu pueblo de balde;
No exigiste ningún precio.
13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us. Tu nous as mis en opprobre chez nos voisins, en risée et en raillerie auprès de nos alentours ; Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a mockery and a derision for them that are round about us; Nos pones por afrenta de nuestros vecinos,
Por escarnio y por burla de los que nos rodean.
14 Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people. Tu nous as mis comme proverbe parmi les nations, comme hochement de tête parmi les peuples. Todos al vernos menean la cabeza.
15 My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, Tout le jour ma confusion est devant moi, et la honte de ma face m'a couvert, All the day my confusion is before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, Cada día mi vergüenza está delante de mí,
Y la confusión de mi rostro me cubre,
16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger. À cause de la voix de celui qui outrage et qui injurie, à cause de l'ennemi et du vengeur. 19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. Quoique tu nous aies écrasés dans le lieu des chacals, et que tu nous aies couverts de l'ombre de la mort. Though thou hast crushed us in the place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death. Para que nos quebrantases en el lugar de chacales,
Y nos cubrieses con sombra de muerte.

O alzado nuestras manos a dios ajeno,
21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. Dieu ne s'en enquerrait-il pas ? car lui connaît les secrets du cœur. Would not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. ¿No demandaría Dios esto?
Porque él conoce los secretos del corazón.
22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Despierta, no te alejes para siempre.
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression? Pourquoi caches-tu ta face, [et] oublies-tu notre affliction et notre oppression ? Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression? ¿Por qué escondes tu rostro,
Y te olvidas de nuestra aflicción, y de la opresión nuestra?

26 Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake. Lève-toi, aide-nous, et rachète-nous à cause de ta bonté. Rise up for our help, and redeem us for thy loving-kindness' sake. Levántate para ayudarnos,
Y redímenos por causa de tu misericordia.
