1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, ☆ Et Bildad, le Shukhite, répondit et dit : And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, Respondió Bildad suhita, y dijo:
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind? How long wilt thou speak these things? and the words of thy mouth be a strong wind?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice? Est-ce que ∗Dieu pervertit le droit ? Le Tout-Puissant pervertira-t-il la justice ? Doth *God pervert judgment, and the Almighty pervert justice? ¿Acaso torcerá Dios el derecho,
O pervertirá el Todopoderoso la justicia?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression; Si tes fils ont péché contre lui, il les a aussi livrés en la main de leur transgressiona. If thy children have sinned against him, he hath also given them over into the hand of their transgression.
5 If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty; Si tu recherches ∗Dieu et que tu supplies le Tout-puissant, If thou seek earnestly unto *God, and make thy supplication to the Almighty, Si tú de mañana buscares a Dios,
Y rogares al Todopoderoso;
6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. Si tu es pur et droit, certainement il se réveillera maintenant en ta faveur, et rendra prospère la demeure de ta justice ; If thou be pure and upright, surely now he will awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous; Si fueres limpio y recto,
7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. And though thy beginning was small, yet thine end shall be very great. Y aunque tu principio haya sido pequeño,
Tu postrer estado será muy grande.
8 For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers: ✱ Car interroge, je te prie, la génération précédente, et sois attentif aux recherches de leurs pères ; For inquire, I pray thee, of the former generation, and attend to the researches of their fathers; Porque pregunta ahora a las generaciones pasadas,
Y disponte para inquirir a los padres de ellas;
9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:) Car nous sommes d'hier et nous n'avons pas de connaissance, car nos jours sont une ombre sur la terre. For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days upon earth are a shadow.
10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart? Ceux-là ne t'enseigneront-ils pas, ne te parleront-ils pas, et de leurs cœurs ne tireront-ils pas des paroles ? Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart? ¿No te enseñarán ellos, te hablarán,
Y de su corazón sacarán palabras?
11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water? Le papyrus s'élève-t-il où il n'y a pas de marais ? Le roseau croît-il sans eau ? Doth the papyrus shoot up without mire? doth the reed-grass grow without water? ¿Crece el junco sin lodo?
¿Crece el prado sin agua?
12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb. Whilst it is yet in its greenness and not cut down, it withereth before any other grass.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish: Tels sont les sentiers de tous ceux qui oublient ∗Dieu ; et l'attente de l'impie périra ; So are the paths of all that forget *God; and the profane man's hope shall perish, Tales son los caminos de todos los que olvidan a Dios;
Y la esperanza del impío perecerá;
14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web. Son assurance sera retranchée, et sa confiance sera une toileb d'araignée : Whose confidence shall be cut off, and his reliance is a spider's web. Porque su esperanza será cortada,
Y su confianza es tela de araña.
15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure. Il s'appuiera sur sa maison, et elle ne tiendra pas ; il s'y cramponnera, et elle ne restera pas debout. He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand; he shall lay hold on it, but it shall not endure. Se apoyará él en su casa, mas no permanecerá ella en pie;
Se asirá de ella, mas no resistirá.
16 He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden. Il est verdoyant devant le soleil, et son rameau s'étend sur son jardin ; He is full of sap before the sun, and his sprout shooteth forth over his garden; A manera de un árbol está verde delante del sol,
Y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;
17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones. Ses racines s'entrelacent dans un tas de rocaillec, il voit la demeure des pierres ; His roots are entwined about the stoneheap; he seeth the place of stones.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee. S'Il l'ôte de sa place, celle-ci le désavouera : Je ne t'ai pas vu ! If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him: I have not seen thee!
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow. Telles sont les délices de ses voies ; et de la poussière, d'autres germeront. Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the dust shall others grow. Ciertamente este será el gozo de su camino;
Y del polvo mismo nacerán otros.
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers: Voici, ∗Dieu ne méprisera pas l'homme parfaitd, et ne soutiendra pas les mains des méchants : Behold, *God will not cast off a perfect man, neither will he take evil-doers by the hand. He aquí, Dios no aborrece al perfecto,
Ni apoya la mano de los malignos.
21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing. Tandise qu'il remplira ta bouche de rire et tes lèvres de chants de joie, Whilst he would fill thy mouth with laughing and thy lips with shouting, Aún llenará tu boca de risa,
Y tus labios de júbilo.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought. Ceux qui te haïssent seront revêtus de honte, et la tente des méchants ne sera plus. They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked be no more. Los que te aborrecen serán vestidos de confusión;
Y la habitación de los impíos perecerá.
