1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, ☆ Et Bildad, le Shukhite, répondit et dit : And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, Respondió Bildad suhita, y dijo:
2 How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak. How long will ye hunt for words? Be intelligent, and then we will speak. ¿Cuándo pondréis fin a las palabras?
Entended, y después hablemos.
3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight? Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed stupid in your sight? ¿Por qué somos tenidos por bestias,
Y a vuestros ojos somos viles?
4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. Or la lumière des méchants sera éteinte, et la flamme de son feu ne luira point ; Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.
6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him. The light shall become dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out. La luz se oscurecerá en su tienda,
Y se apagará sobre él su lámpara.
7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. Les pas de sa force seront resserrés, et son propre conseil le renversera : The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. Sus pasos vigorosos serán acortados,
Y su mismo consejo lo precipitará.
8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. For he is sent into the net by his own feet, and he walketh on the meshes; Porque red será echada a sus pies,
Y sobre mallas andará.
9 The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. Le piège le prend par le talon, le lacet le saisit ; The gin taketh him by the heel, the snare layeth hold on him; Lazo prenderá su calcañar;
Se afirmará la trampa contra él.
10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. A cord is hidden for him in the ground, and his trap in the way.
11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. Terrors make him afraid on every side, and chase him at his footsteps. De todas partes lo asombrarán temores,
Y le harán huir desconcertado.
12 His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. His strength is hunger-bitten, and calamity is ready at his side. Serán gastadas de hambre sus fuerzas,
Y a su lado estará preparado quebrantamiento.
13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. The firstborn of death devoureth the members of his body; it will devour his members.
14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall lead him away to the king of terrors: Su confianza será arrancada de su tienda,
15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. Ce qui n'est pas à lui habite dans sa tente, le soufre est répandu sur son habitation. They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; brimstone shall be showered upon his habitation: En su tienda morará como si no fuese suya;
16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off; Abajo se secarán sus raíces,
Y arriba serán cortadas sus ramas.
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name on the pasture-grounds. Su memoria perecerá de la tierra,
Y no tendrá nombre por las calles.
18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. He hath neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining in the places of his sojourn.
20 They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before them were affrighted.
21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God. Surely, such are the dwellings of the unrighteous man, and such the place of him that knoweth not *God.
