| Elihu spake moreover, and said, | Et Élihu reprit la parole et dit : | Moreover Elihu answered and said, | Prosiguió Eliú en su razonamiento, y dijo: | |
| Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s? | Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than *God's? |
| For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? | Car tu as demandé quel profit tu en as : Quel avantage en ai-je de plus que si j'avais péché ? | For thou hast asked of what profit it is unto thee: what do I gain more than if I had sinned? | Porque dijiste: ¿Qué ventaja sacaré de ello? ¿O qué provecho tendré de no haber pecado? |
| I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee. | Je te répliquerai, moi, par des paroles, et à tes amis avec toi : | I will reply to thee in words, and to thy companions with thee. | Yo te responderé razones, Y a tus compañeros contigo. |
| Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou. | Look unto the heavens and see; and survey the skies: they are higher than thou. |
| If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? | If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? If thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? |
| If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? | Si tu es juste, que lui donnes-tu, ou que reçoit-il de ta main ? | If thou be righteous, what givest thou to him? or what doth he receive of thy hand? |
| Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. | Thy wickedness may affect a man as thou art , and thy righteousness a son of man.
| By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. | On crie à cause de la multitude des oppressions, et on appelle au secours à cause du bras des grands ; | By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry; they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty: | A causa de la multitud de las violencias claman, Y se lamentan por el poderío de los grandes. |
| But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; | Et on ne dit pas : Où est †Dieu, mon créateur, qui donne des chants de joie dans la nuit, | But none saith, Where is +God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night, | Y ninguno dice: ¿Dónde está Dios mi Hacedor, Que da cánticos en la noche, |
| Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? | Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowl of the heavens? |
| There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. | There they cry, and he answereth not, because of the pride of evil men. |
| Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. | Surely *God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. |
| Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. | Although thou sayest thou dost not see him, judgment is before him, therefore wait for him. |
| But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: | Et maintenant, si sa colère n'a pas encore visité, [Job] neb connaît-il pas [sa] grande arrogance ? | But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, doth not Job know his great arrogancy?
| Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge. | For Job hath opened his mouth in vanity, and made words abundant without knowledge. |
