1 Then Job answered and said, ☆ Et Job répondit et dit : And Job answered and said, Respondió Job, y dijo:
2 Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning. Encore aujourd'hui ma plainte est amère, la main qui s'appesantit sur moia est plus pesante que mon gémissement ! Even to-day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning. Hoy también hablaré con amargura;
3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! Oh that I knew where I might find him, that I might come to his seat! ¡Quién me diera el saber dónde hallar a Dios!
Yo iría hasta su silla.
4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. J'exposerais [ma] juste cause devant lui, et je remplirais ma bouche d'arguments ; I would order the cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments; Expondría mi causa delante de él,
Y llenaría mi boca de argumentos.
5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. Je saurais les paroles qu'il me répondrait, et je comprendrais ce qu'il me dirait. I would know the words he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. Yo sabría lo que él me respondiese,
Y entendería lo que me dijera.
6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me. Contesterait-il avec moi dans la grandeur de sa force ? Non, mais il ferait attention à moi. Would he plead against me with his great power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me. ¿Contendería conmigo con grandeza de fuerza?
No; antes él me atendería.
7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge. Là, un homme droit raisonnerait avec lui, et je serais délivré pour toujours de mon juge. There would an upright man reason with him; and I should be delivered for ever from my judge. Allí el justo razonaría con él;
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: Voici, je vais en avant, mais il n'y est pas ; et en arrière, mais je ne l'aperçois pas ; Lo, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I do not perceive him; He aquí yo iré al oriente, y no lo hallaré;
Y al occidente, y no lo percibiré;
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: À gauche, quand il y opère, mais je ne le discerne pas ; il se cache à droitec, et je ne le vois pas. On the left hand, where he doth work, but I behold him not; he hideth himself on the right hand, and I see him not. Si muestra su poder al norte, yo no lo veré;
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Mais il connaît la voie que je suis ; il m'éprouve, je sortirai comme de l'or. But he knoweth the way that I take; he trieth me, I shall come forth as gold. Mas él conoce mi camino;
Me probará, y saldré como oro.
11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. ✱ Mon pied s'attache à ses pas ; j'ai gardé sa voie, et je n'en ai point dévié. My foot hath held to his steps; his way have I kept, and not turned aside. Mis pies han seguido sus pisadas;
Guardé su camino, y no me aparté.
12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. Je ne me suis pas retiré du commandement de ses lèvres ; j'ai serré [par devers moi] les paroles de sa bouche plus que le propos de mon propre cœurd. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have laid up the words of his mouth more than the purpose of my own heart. Del mandamiento de sus labios nunca me separé;
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. But he is in one mind , and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, that will he do.
14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Car il achèvera ce qui est déterminé pour moi ; et bien des choses semblables sont auprès de lui. For he will perform what is appointed for me; and many such things are with him. Él, pues, acabará lo que ha determinado de mí;
15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. C'est pourquoi je suis terrifié devant sa face ; je considère, et je suis effrayé devant lui. Therefore am I troubled at his presence; I consider, and I am afraid of him. Por lo cual yo me espanto en su presencia;
16 For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: Et ∗Dieu a fait défaillir mon cœur, et le Tout-puissant m'a frappé de terreur ; For *God hath made my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me; Dios ha enervado mi corazón,
Y me ha turbado el Omnipotente.
17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face. Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he hidden the gloom from me.
