2 Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. Sages, écoutez mes paroles, et vous qui avez de la connaissance, prêtez-moi l'oreille ; Hear my words, ye wise men ; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge. Oíd, sabios, mis palabras;
Y vosotros, doctos, estadme atentos.
3 For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat. Car l'oreille éprouve les discours, comme le palais goûte les aliments. For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth food. Porque el oído prueba las palabras,
Como el paladar gusta lo que uno come.
4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good. Choisissons pour nous ce qui est juste, et reconnaissons entre nous ce qui est bon. Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us know among ourselves what is good! Escojamos para nosotros el juicio,
Conozcamos entre nosotros cuál sea lo bueno.
5 For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment. Car Job a dit : Je suis juste, et ∗Dieu a écarté mon droit ; For Job hath said, I am righteous, and *God hath taken away my judgment: Porque Job ha dicho: Yo soy justo,
Y Dios me ha quitado mi derecho.
6 Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression. Mentirai-je contrea ma droiture ? ma blessure est incurable, sans qu'il y ait de transgression. Should I lie against my right? My wound is incurable without transgression. ¿He de mentir yo contra mi razón?
Dolorosa es mi herida sin haber hecho yo transgresión.
7 What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water? Qui est l'homme qui soit comme Job ? Il boit la moquerie comme l'eau ; What man is like Job? he drinketh up scorning like water, ¿Qué hombre hay como Job,
Que bebe el escarnio como agua,
8 Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men. Il marche dans la compagnie des ouvriers d'iniquité, et il chemine avec les hommes méchants. And goeth in company with workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men. Y va en compañía con los que hacen iniquidad,
Y anda con los hombres malos?
9 For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God. Car il a dit : Il ne profite de rien à l'homme de trouver son plaisir en Dieu. For he hath said, It profiteth not a man if he delight himself in God. Porque ha dicho: De nada servirá al hombre
El conformar su voluntad a Dios.
10 Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. C'est pourquoi, hommes de sens, écoutez-moi : Loin de ∗Dieu la méchanceté, et loin du Tout-puissant l'iniquité ! Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be wickedness from *God, and wrong from the Almighty! Por tanto, varones de inteligencia, oídme:
Lejos esté de Dios la impiedad,
Y del Omnipotente la iniquidad.
11 For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. Car il rendra à l'homme ce qu'il aura fait, et il fera trouver à chacun selon sa voie. For a man's work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to his way. Porque él pagará al hombre según su obra,a
Y le retribuirá conforme a su camino.
12 Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment. Certainement ∗Dieu n'agit pas injustement, et le Tout-puissant ne pervertit pas le droit. Yea, surely, *God acteth not wickedly, and the Almighty perverteth not judgment. Sí, por cierto, Dios no hará injusticia,
Y el Omnipotente no pervertirá el derecho.
13 Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world? Qui a confié la terre à ses soins, et qui a placé le monde entier [sous lui] ? Who hath entrusted to him the earth? and who hath disposed the whole world? ¿Quién visitó por él la tierra?
¿Y quién puso en orden todo el mundo?
14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; S'il ne pensait qu'à lui-même et retirait à lui son esprit et son souffle, If he only thought of himself, and gathered unto him his spirit and his breath, Si él pusiese sobre el hombre su corazón,
Y recogiese así su espíritu y su aliento,
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. Toute chair expirerait ensemble et l'homme retournerait à la poussière. All flesh would expire together, and man would return to the dust. Toda carne perecería juntamente,
Y el hombre volvería al polvo.
16 If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words. ✱ Si [tu as] de l'intelligence, écoute ceci ; prête l'oreille à la voix de mes paroles. If now thou hast understanding, hear this: give ear to the voice of my words! Si, pues, hay en ti entendimiento, oye esto;
Escucha la voz de mis palabras.
17 Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? Celui qui hait la justice gouvernera-t-il donc ? Et condamneras-tu le juste par excellenceb ? Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just? ¿Gobernará el que aborrece juicio?
¿Y condenarás tú al que es tan justo?
18 Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly? Dira-t-on Bélial, au roi ? — Méchants, aux nobles ? Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked? ¿Se dirá al rey: Perverso;
Y a los príncipes: Impíos?
19 How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands. [Combien moins] à celui qui ne fait pas acception de la personne des princes, et qui n'a pas égard au riche plutôt qu'au pauvre ; car ils sont tous l'œuvre de ses mains. How then to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich man more than the poor? for they are all the work of his hands. ¿Cuánto menos a aquel que no hace acepción de personas de príncipes.
Ni respeta más al rico que al pobre,
Porque todos son obra de sus manos?
20 In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand. Ils mourront en un moment ; au milieu de la nuit les peuples chancellent et s'en vont, et les puissants sont retirés sans main. In a moment they die, even at midnight the people are convulsed and pass away; and the strong are taken away without hand. En un momento morirán,
Y a medianoche se alborotarán los pueblos, y pasarán,
Y sin mano será quitado el poderoso.
21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. Car ses yeux sont sur les voies de l'homme, et il voit tous ses pas. For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps. Porque sus ojos están sobre los caminos del hombre,
Y ve todos sus pasos.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. Il n'y a pas de ténèbres, il n'y a pas d'ombre de la mort, où se puissent cacher les ouvriers d'iniquité. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. No hay tinieblas ni sombra de muerte
Donde se escondan los que hacen maldad.
23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. Car il ne pense pasc longtemps à un homme pour le faire venir devant ∗Dieu en jugement. For he doth not long consider a man, to bring him before *God in judgment. No carga, pues, él al hombre más de lo justo,
Para que vaya con Dios a juicio.
24 He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. Il brise les puissants, sans examen, et il fait que d'autres se tiennent à leur place ; He breaketh in pieces mighty men without inquiry, and setteth others in their stead; Él quebrantará a los fuertes sin indagación,
Y hará estar a otros en su lugar.
25 Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. En effet il connaît leurs œuvres : il les renverse de nuit, et ils sont écrasés. Since he knoweth their actions; and he overthroweth them in the night, and they are crushed. Por tanto, él hará notorias las obras de ellos,
Cuando los trastorne en la noche, y sean quebrantados.
26 He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; Il les frappe comme des méchants dans le lieu où ils sont en vue, He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others, Como a malos los herirá
En lugar donde sean vistos;
27 Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways: Parce qu'ils se sont retirés ded lui, et qu'ils n'ont pas considéré toutes ses voies, Because they have turned back from him, and would consider none of his ways; Por cuanto así se apartaron de él,
Y no consideraron ninguno de sus caminos,
28 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted. Pour faire monter vers lui le cri du pauvre, en sorte qu'il entende le cri des malheureux. Y que oiga el clamor de los necesitados.
29 When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only: ✱ Quand il donne la tranquillité, qui troublera ? Il cache sa face, et qui le verra ? [Il fait] ainsi, soit à une nation, soit à un homme, When he giveth quietness, who then will disturb? and when he hideth his face, who shall behold him? and this towards a nation, or towards a man alike; Si él diere reposo, ¿quién inquietará?
Si escondiere el rostro, ¿quién lo mirará?
Esto sobre una nación, y lo mismo sobre un hombre;
30 That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared. Pour empêcher l'homme impie de régner, pour écarter du peuple les pièges. That the ungodly man reign not, that the people be not ensnared. Haciendo que no reine el hombre impío
Para vejaciones del pueblo.
31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more: Car a-t-ile [jamais] dit à ∗Dieu : Je porte ma peine, je ne ferai plus de mal ; For hath he said unto *God, I bear chastisement , I will not offend; De seguro conviene que se diga a Dios:
He llevado ya castigo, no ofenderé ya más;
32 That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more. Ce que je ne vois pas, montre-le-moi ; si j'ai commis l'iniquité, je ne le referai pas ? What I see not, teach thou me; if I have done wrong, I will do so no more? Enséñame tú lo que yo no veo;
Si hice mal, no lo haré más.
33 Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest. ✱ Rétribuera-t-il selon tes pensées ? car tu as rejeté [son jugement], car toi, tu as choisi, et non pas moi ; ce que tu sais, dis-le donc. Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused his judgment ; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest. ¿Ha de ser eso según tu parecer?
Él te retribuirá, ora rehúses, ora aceptes, y no yo;
Di, si no, lo que tú sabes.
34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me. Les hommes de sens me diront, et un homme sage qui m'écoute : Men of understanding will say to me, and a wise man who heareth me: Los hombres inteligentes dirán conmigo,
Y el hombre sabio que me oiga:
35 Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom. Job n'a pas parlé avec connaissance, et ses paroles ne sont pas intelligentes ; Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were not with intelligence. Que Job no habla con sabiduría,
Y que sus palabras no son con entendimiento.
36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men. Je voudrais que Job fût éprouvé jusqu'au bout, parce qu'il a répondu à la manière des hommes iniques ; Would that Job may be tried unto the end, because of his answers after the manner of evil men! Deseo yo que Job sea probado ampliamente,
A causa de sus respuestas semejantes a las de los hombres inicuos.
37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God. Car il a ajouté à son péché la transgressionf ; il bat des mains parmi nous, et multiplie ses paroles contre ∗Dieu. Bate palmas contra nosotros,
Y contra Dios multiplica sus palabras.
