Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen. |
Et Joseph entra, et rapporta au Pharaon, et dit : Mon père et mes frères, et leur menu et leur gros bétail, et tout ce qui est à eux, sont venus du pays de Canaan ; et voici, ils sont dans le pays de Goshena. |

And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. |

And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. |
Et le Pharaon dit à ses frères : Quelle est votre occupation ? Et ils dirent au Pharaon : Tes serviteurs sont bergers, tant nous que nos pères. |

They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. |
Et ils dirent au Pharaon : Nous sommes venus pour séjourner dans le pays, parce qu'il n'y a point de pâture pour le bétail de tes serviteurs, car la famine pèse sur le pays de Canaan ; et maintenant, que tes serviteurs, nous t'en prions, habitent dans le pays de Goshen. |

And they said to Pharaoh, To sojourn in the land are we come; for there is no pasture for the sheep that thy servants have, for the famine is grievous in the land of Canaan; and now, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen. |
Dijeron además a Faraón: Para morar en esta tierra hemos venido; porque no hay pasto para las ovejas de tus siervos, pues el hambre es grave en la tierra de Canaán; por tanto, te rogamos ahora que permitas que habiten tus siervos en la tierra de Gosén. |

And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee: |

The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle. |
Le pays d'Égypte est devant toi ; fais habiter ton père et tes frères dans la meilleure partie du pays : qu'ils demeurent dans le pays de Goshen ; et si tu connais qu'il y ait parmi eux des hommes capables, tu les établiras chefs des troupeaux qui sont à moi. |

The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land settle thy father and thy brethren: let them dwell in the land of Goshen. And if thou knowest men of activity among them, then set them as overseers of cattle over what I have. |
La tierra de Egipto delante de ti está; en lo mejor de la tierra haz habitar a tu padre y a tus hermanos; habiten en la tierra de Gosén; y si entiendes que hay entre ellos hombres capaces, ponlos por mayorales del ganado mío. |

And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. |

And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage. |
Et Jacob dit au Pharaon : Les jours des années de mon séjournement sont cent trente ans ; les jours des années de ma vie ont été courts et mauvais, et ils n'ont pas atteint les jours des années de la vie de mes pères, dans les jours de leur séjournement. |

And Jacob said to Pharaoh, The days of the years of my sojourning are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they do not attain to the days of the years of the life of my fathers, in the days of their sojourning. |
Y Jacob respondió a Faraón: Los días de los años de mi peregrinación son ciento treinta años; pocos y malos han sido los días de los años de mi vida, y no han llegado a los días de los años de la vida de mis padres en los días de su peregrinación. |

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to their families. |

☆ Et il n'y avait pas de pain dans tout le pays, car la famine était très-intense ; et le pays d'Égypte et le pays de Canaan étaient épuisés à cause de la famine. |

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very grievous; and the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan were exhausted through the famine. |
No había pan en toda la tierra, y el hambre era muy grave, por lo que desfalleció de hambre la tierra de Egipto y la tierra de Canaán. |

And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. |
Et Joseph recueillit tout l'argent qui se trouva dans le pays d'Égypte et dans le pays de Canaan, pour le blé qu'on achetait ; et Joseph fit entrer l'argent dans la maison du Pharaon. |

And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the grain which they bought; and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house. |

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. |
Et quand l'argent du pays d'Égypte et du pays de Canaan fut épuisé, tous les Égyptiens vinrent à Joseph, disant : Donne-nous du pain ; et pourquoi mourrions-nous devant toi, car l'argent manque ? |

And when money came to an end in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, saying, Give us bread! for why should we die before thee? for our money is all gone. |
Acabado el dinero de la tierra de Egipto y de la tierra de Canaán, vino todo Egipto a José, diciendo: Danos pan; ¿por qué moriremos delante de ti, por haberse acabado el dinero? |

And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. |
Et Joseph dit : Donnez votre bétail, et je vous donnerai [du pain] contre votre bétail, si l'argent vous manque. |

And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. |
Et ils amenèrent leur bétail à Joseph ; et Joseph leur donna du pain contre des chevaux, et contre des troupeaux de menu bétail, et contre des troupeaux de gros bétail, et contre des ânes : et il les fournit de pain cette année-là contre tous leurs troupeaux. |

And they brought their cattle to Joseph; and Joseph gave them bread for horses, and for flocks of sheep, and for herds of cattle, and for asses; and he fed them with bread for all their cattle that year. |
Y ellos trajeron sus ganados a José, y José les dio alimentos por caballos, y por el ganado de las ovejas, y por el ganado de las vacas, y por asnos; y les sustentó de pan por todos sus ganados aquel año. |

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: |
Et cette année-là finit ; et ils vinrent à lui la seconde année, et lui dirent : Nous ne cacherons pas à mon seigneur que l'argent est épuisé, et mon seigneur a les troupeaux de bétail : il ne reste rien devant mon seigneur que nos corps et nos terres. |

And that year ended; and they came to him the second year, and said to him, We will not hide it from my lord that since our money is come to an end, and the herds of cattle are in the possession of my lord, nothing is left before my lord but our bodies and our land. |
Acabado aquel año, vinieron a él el segundo año, y le dijeron: No encubrimos a nuestro señor que el dinero ciertamente se ha acabado; también el ganado es ya de nuestro señor; nada ha quedado delante de nuestro señor sino nuestros cuerpos y nuestra tierra. |

Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. |
Pourquoi mourrions-nous devant tes yeux, tant nous que nos terres ? Achète-nous, et nos terres, contre du pain ; et nous serons, nous et nos terres, serviteurs du Pharaon. Et donne-nous de la semence, afin que nous vivions et ne mourions pas, et que la terre ne soit pas désolée. |

Why should we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bondmen to Pharaoh; and give seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land be not desolate. |
¿Por qué moriremos delante de tus ojos, así nosotros como nuestra tierra? Cómpranos a nosotros y a nuestra tierra por pan, y seremos nosotros y nuestra tierra siervos de Faraón; y danos semilla para que vivamos y no muramos, y no sea asolada la tierra. |

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. |
Et Joseph acheta tout le sol de l'Égypte pour le Pharaon : car les Égyptiens vendirent chacun son champ, parce que la famine les pressait ; et la terre fut au Pharaon. |

And Joseph bought all the soil of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them; and the land became Pharaoh's. |

And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof. |

Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. |
Seulement il n'acheta pas les terres des sacrificateurs, car il y avait de la part du Pharaon une portion assignée pour les sacrificateurs ; et ils mangeaient leur portion assignée que le Pharaon leur donnait ; c'est pourquoi ils ne vendirent pas leurs terres. |

Only the land of the priests he did not buy; for the priests had an assigned portion from Pharaoh, and ate their assigned portion which Pharaoh had given them; so they did not sell their land. |
Solamente la tierra de los sacerdotes no compró, por cuanto los sacerdotes tenían ración de Faraón, y ellos comían la ración que Faraón les daba; por eso no vendieron su tierra. |

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. |
Et Joseph dit au peuple : Voici, je vous ai achetés aujourd'hui, et vos terres, pour le Pharaon. Voici de la semence pour vous : ensemencez la terre. |

And Joseph said to the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and sow the land. |
Y José dijo al pueblo: He aquí os he comprado hoy, a vosotros y a vuestra tierra, para Faraón; ved aquí semilla, y sembraréis la tierra. |

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. |
Et il arrivera, lors des récoltes, que vous donnerez le cinquième au Pharaon, et les quatre [autres] parties seront pour vous, pour la semence des champs, et pour votre nourriture, et pour ceux qui sont dans vos maisons, et pour la nourriture de vos petits enfants. |

And it shall come to pass in the increase that ye shall give the fifth to Pharaoh, and the four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. |
De los frutos daréis el quinto a Faraón, y las cuatro partes serán vuestras para sembrar las tierras, y para vuestro mantenimiento, y de los que están en vuestras casas, y para que coman vuestros niños. |

And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. |
Et ils dirent : Tu nous as conservé la vie ; que nous trouvions grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur, et nous serons serviteurs du Pharaon. |

And they said, Thou hast saved us alive. Let us find favour in the eyes of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's bondmen. |
Y ellos respondieron: La vida nos has dado; hallemos gracia en ojos de nuestro señor, y seamos siervos de Faraón. |

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s. |
Et Joseph en fit une loi, jusqu'à ce jour, sur les terres de l'Égypte : au Pharaon un cinquième. Seulement, les terres des sacrificateurs seuls ne furent pas au Pharaon. |

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt to this day, that the fifth should be for Pharaoh, except the land of the priests: theirs alone did not become Pharaoh's. |
Entonces José lo puso por ley hasta hoy sobre la tierra de Egipto, señalando para Faraón el quinto, excepto solo la tierra de los sacerdotes, que no fue de Faraón. |

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly. |
☆ Et Israël habita dans le pays d'Égypte, dans le pays de Goshen ; et ils y acquirent des possessions, et fructifièrent, et multiplièrent extrêmement. |

Et les jours d'Israël s'approchèrent de la mort. Et il appela Joseph, son fils, et lui dit : Si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, mets, je te prie, ta main sous ma cuisse, et use envers moi de bonté et de vérité : ne m'enterre pas, je te prie, en Égypte ; |

And the days of Israel approached that he should die. And he called his son Joseph, and said to him, If now I have found favour in thine eyes, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me: bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt; |
Y llegaron los días de Israel para morir, y llamó a José su hijo, y le dijo: Si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, te ruego que pongas tu mano debajo de mi muslo, y harás conmigo misericordia y verdad. Te ruego que no me entierres en Egipto. |

But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said. |
mais quand je serai couché avec mes pères, tu m'emporteras d'Égypte, et tu m'enterreras dans leur sépulcre. Et il dit : Je ferai selon ta parole. |

but when I shall lie with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their sepulchre. And he said, I will do according to thy word. |
Mas cuando duerma con mis padres, me llevarás de Egipto y me sepultarás en el sepulcro de ellos. Y José respondió: Haré como tú dices. |

And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head. |
Et [Jacob] dit : Jure-le-moi. Et il le lui jura. Et Israël se prosterna sur le chevet du lit. |
