Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? |
☆ Or le serpent était plus rusé qu'aucun animal des champs que l'Éternel Dieu avait fait ; et il dit à la femme : Quoi, Dieu a dit : Vous ne mangerez pas de tout arbre du jardin ? |

And the serpent was more crafty than any animal of the field which Jehovah Elohim had made. And it said to the woman, Is it even so, that God has said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? |
Pero la serpientea era astuta, más que todos los animales del campo que Jehová Dios había hecho; la cual dijo a la mujer: ¿Conque Dios os ha dicho: No comáis de todo árbol del huerto? |

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: |
Et la femme dit au serpent : Nous mangeons du fruit des arbres du jardin ; |

Y la mujer respondió a la serpiente: Del fruto de los árboles del huerto podemos comer; |

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. |
mais du fruit de l'arbre qui est au milieu du jardin, Dieu a dit : Vous n'en mangerez point, et vous n'y toucherez point, de peur que vous ne mouriez. |

but of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, God has said, Ye shall not eat of it, and ye shall not touch it, lest ye die. |
pero del fruto del árbol que está en medio del huerto dijo Dios: No comeréis de él, ni le tocaréis, para que no muráis. |

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: |
Et le serpent dit à la femme : Vous ne mourrez point certainement ; |

And the serpent said to the woman, Ye will not certainly die; |
Entonces la serpiente dijo a la mujer: No moriréis; |

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. |
car Dieu sait qu'au jour où vous en mangerez vos yeux seront ouverts, et vous serez comme Dieua, connaissant le bien et le mal. |

but God knows that in the day ye eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and ye will be as God, knowing good and evil. |
sino que sabe Dios que el día que comáis de él, serán abiertos vuestros ojos, y seréis como Dios, sabiendo el bien y el mal. |

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. |
Et la femme vit que l'arbre était bon à manger, et qu'il était un plaisir pour les yeux, et que l'arbre était désirable pour rendre intelligent ; et elle prit de son fruit et en mangea ; et elle en donna aussi à son mari [pour qu'il en mangeât] avec elle, et il en mangea. |

And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a pleasure for the eyes, and the tree was to be desired to give intelligence; and she took of its fruit, and ate, and gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. |
Y vio la mujer que el árbol era bueno para comer, y que era agradable a los ojos, y árbol codiciable para alcanzar la sabiduría; y tomó de su fruto, y comió; y dio también a su marido, el cual comió así como ella. |

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. |
Et les yeux de tous deux furent ouverts, et ils connurent qu'ils étaient nus ; et ils cousirent ensemble des feuilles de figuier et s'en firent des ceintures. |

And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. |
Et ils entendirent la voix de l'Éternel Dieu qui se promenait dans le jardin au frais du jour. Et l'homme et sa femme se cachèrent de devant l'Éternel Dieu, au milieu des arbres du jardin. |

And they heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim, walking in the garden in the cool of the day. And Man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim, in the midst of the trees of the garden. |
Y oyeron la voz de Jehová Dios que se paseaba en el huerto, al aire del día; y el hombre y su mujer se escondieron de la presencia de Jehová Dios entre los árboles del huerto. |

And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? |
Et l'Éternel Dieu appela l'homme, et lui dit : Où es-tu ? |

And Jehovah Elohim called to Man, and said to him, Where art thou? |
Mas Jehová Dios llamó al hombre, y le dijo: ¿Dónde estás tú? |

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. |
Et il dit : J'ai entendu ta voix dans le jardin, et j'ai eu peur, car je suis nu, et je me suis caché. |

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I feared, because I am naked; and I hid myself. |
Y él respondió: Oí tu voz en el huerto, y tuve miedo, porque estaba desnudo; y me escondí. |

And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? |
Et l'Éternel Dieu ditb : Qui t'a montré que tu étais nu ? As-tu mangé de l'arbre dont je t'ai commandé de ne pas manger ? |

And he said, Who told thee that thou art naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee not to eat? |
Y Dios le dijo: ¿Quién te enseñó que estabas desnudo? ¿Has comido del árbol del que yo te mandé no comieses? |

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. |
Et l'homme dit : La femme que tu [m']as donnée [pour être] avec moi, — elle, m'a donné de l'arbre, et j'en ai mangé. |

And Man said, The woman, whom thou hast given to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate. |
Y el hombre respondió: La mujer que me diste por compañera me dio del árbol, y yo comí. |

And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. |
Et l'Éternel Dieu dit à la femme : Qu'est-ce que tu as fait ? Et la femme dit : Le serpent m'a séduite, et j'en ai mangé. |

And Jehovah Elohim said to the woman, What is this thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate. |
Entonces Jehová Dios dijo a la mujer: ¿Qué es lo que has hecho? Y dijo la mujer: La serpiente me engañó,b y comí. |
| 14 |
And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: |
Et l'Éternel Dieu dit au serpent : Parce que tu as fait cela, tu es maudit par-dessus tout le bétail et par-dessus toutes les bêtes des champs ; tu marcheras sur ton ventre, et tu mangeras la poussière tous les jours de ta vie ; |

And Jehovah Elohim said to the serpent, Because thou hast done this, be thou cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field. On thy belly shalt thou go, and eat dust all the days of thy life. |
Y Jehová Dios dijo a la serpiente: Por cuanto esto hiciste, maldita serás entre todas las bestias y entre todos los animales del campo; sobre tu pecho andarás, y polvo comerás todos los días de tu vida. |

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. |
et je mettrai inimitié entre toi et la femme, et entre ta semence et sa semence. Ellec te brisera la tête, et toi tu lui briseras le talon. |

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he shall crush thy head, and thou shalt crush his heel. |
Y pondré enemistad entre ti y la mujer, y entre tu simiente y la simiente suya; esta te herirá en la cabeza, y tú le herirás en el calcañar. |
| 16 |
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. |
À la femme il dit : Je rendrai très-grandes tes souffrances et ta grossesse ; en travail tu enfanteras des enfants, et ton désir sera [tourné] vers ton mari, et lui dominera sur toi. |

To the woman he said, I will greatly increase thy travail and thy pregnancy; with pain thou shalt bear children; and to thy husband shall be thy desire, and he shall rule over thee. |
A la mujer dijo: Multiplicaré en gran manera los dolores en tus preñeces; con dolor darás a luz los hijos; y tu deseo será para tu marido,c y él se enseñoreará de ti. |

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; |
Et à Adam il dit : Parce que tu as écouté la voix de ta femme et que tu as mangé de l'arbre au sujet duquel je t'ai commandé, disant : Tu n'en mangeras pas, — maudit est le sol à cause de toi ; tu en mangeras [en travaillant] péniblement tous les jours de ta vie. |

And to Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed be the ground on thy account; with toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; |
Y al hombre dijo: Por cuanto obedeciste a la voz de tu mujer, y comiste del árbol de que te mandé diciendo: No comerás de él; maldita será la tierra por tu causa; con dolor comerás de ella todos los días de tu vida. |

Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; |
Et il te fera germer des épines et des ronces, et tu mangeras l'herbe des champs. |

and thorns and thistles shall it yield thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field. |
Espinos y cardos te producirá,d y comerás plantas del campo. |

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. |
À la sueur de ton visage tu mangeras du pain, jusqu'à ce que tu retournes au sol, car c'est de lui que tu as été pris ; car tu es poussière et tu retourneras à la poussière. |

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, until thou return to the ground: for out of it wast thou taken. For dust thou art; and unto dust shalt thou return. |
Con el sudor de tu rostro comerás el pan hasta que vuelvas a la tierra, porque de ella fuiste tomado; pues polvo eres, y al polvo volverás. |

And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. |
Et l'homme appela sa femme du nom d'Èved, parce qu'elle était la mère de tous les vivants. |

And Man called his wife's name Eve; because she is the mother of all living. |
Y llamó Adán el nombre de su mujer, Eva,e por cuanto ella era madre de todos los vivientes. |

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. |
Et l'Éternel Dieu fit à Adam et à sa femme des vêtements de peau, et les revêtit. |

And Jehovah Elohim made Adam and his wife coats of skin, and clothed them. |
Y Jehová Dios hizo al hombre y a su mujer túnicas de pieles, y los vistió. |

And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: |
Et l'Éternel Dieu dit : Voici, l'homme est devenu comme l'un de nous, pour connaître le bien et le mal ; et maintenant, — afin qu'il n'avance pas sa main et ne prenne aussi de l'arbre de vie et n'en mange et ne vive à toujours… ! |

And Jehovah Elohim said, Behold, Man is become as one of us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever...! |
Y dijo Jehová Dios: He aquí el hombre es como uno de nosotros, sabiendo el bien y el mal; ahora, pues, que no alargue su mano, y tome también del árbol de la vida,f y coma, y viva para siempre. |

Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. |
Et l'Éternel Dieu le mit hors du jardin d'Éden, pour labourer le sol, d'où il avait été pris : |

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. |
il chassa l'homme, et plaça à l'orient du jardin d'Éden les chérubins et la lame de l'épée qui tournait çà et là, pour garder le chemin de l'arbre de vie. |

And he drove out Man; and he set the Cherubim, and the flame of the flashing sword, toward the east of the garden of Eden, to guard the way to the tree of life. |
Echó, pues, fuera al hombre, y puso al oriente del huerto de Edén querubines, y una espada encendida que se revolvía por todos lados, para guardar el camino del árbol de la vida. |
