And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. |
☆ Et Joseph fut amené en Égypte ; et Potiphar, officier du Pharaon, chef des gardes, homme égyptien, l'acheta de la main des Ismaélites qui l'y avaient amené. |

And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, a chamberlain of Pharaoh, the captain of the life-guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hand of the Ishmaelites who had brought him down thither. |
Llevado, pues, José a Egipto, Potifar oficial de Faraón, capitán de la guardia, varón egipcio, lo compró de los ismaelitas que lo habían llevado allá. |

And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. |
Et l'Éternel fut avec Joseph ; et il était un homme qui faisait [tout] prospérer ; et il était dans la maison de son seigneur, l'Égyptien. |

And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. |
Mas Jehová estaba con José,a y fue varón próspero; y estaba en la casa de su amo el egipcio. |

And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. |
Et son seigneur vit que l'Éternel était avec lui, et que tout ce qu'il faisait, l'Éternel le faisait prospérer en sa main. |

And his master saw that Jehovah was with him, and that Jehovah made all that he did to prosper in his hand. |
Y vio su amo que Jehová estaba con él, y que todo lo que él hacía, Jehová lo hacía prosperar en su mano. |

And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. |
Et Joseph trouva grâce à ses yeux, et il le servait ; et [Potiphar] l'établit sur sa maison, et il mit entre ses mains tout ce qui était à lui. |

And Joseph found favour in his eyes, and attended on him; and he set him over his house, and all that he had he gave into his hand. |
Así halló José gracia en sus ojos, y le servía; y él le hizo mayordomo de su casa y entregó en su poder todo lo que tenía. |

And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. |
Et il arriva, depuis qu'il l'eut établi sur sa maison et sur tout ce qui était à lui, que l'Éternel bénit la maison de l'Égyptien à cause de Joseph ; et la bénédiction de l'Éternel fut sur tout ce qui était à lui, dans la maison et aux champs. |

And it came to pass from the time he had set him over his house and all that he had, that Jehovah blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of Jehovah was on all that he had in the house and in the field. |
Y aconteció que desde cuando le dio el encargo de su casa y de todo lo que tenía, Jehová bendijo la casa del egipcio a causa de José, y la bendición de Jehová estaba sobre todo lo que tenía, así en casa como en el campo. |

And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured. |
Et il laissa aux mains de Joseph tout ce qui était à lui, et il ne prenait avec lui connaissance d'aucune chose, sauf du pain qu'il mangeait. Or Joseph était beau de taille et beau de visage. |

And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand, and took cognizance of nothing with him, save the bread that he ate. And Joseph was of a beautiful form and of a beautiful countenance. |
Y dejó todo lo que tenía en mano de José, y con él no se preocupaba de cosa alguna sino del pan que comía. Y era José de hermoso semblante y bella presencia. |

And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. |
Et il arriva, après ces choses, que la femme de son seigneur leva ses yeux sur Joseph ; et elle dit : Couche avec moi. |

And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes on Joseph, and said, Lie with me! |
Aconteció después de esto, que la mujer de su amo puso sus ojos en José, y dijo: Duerme conmigo. |

But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; |
Et il refusa, et dit à la femme de son seigneur : Voici, mon seigneur ne prend avec moi connaissance de quoi que ce soit dans la maison, et il a mis entre mes mains tout ce qui est à lui. |

But he refused, and said to his master's wife, Behold, my master takes cognizance of nothing with me: what is in the house, and all that he has, he has given into my hand. |
Y él no quiso, y dijo a la mujer de su amo: He aquí que mi señor no se preocupa conmigo de lo que hay en casa, y ha puesto en mi mano todo lo que tiene. |

There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? |
Personne n'est plus grand que moi dans cette maison, et il ne m'a rien interdit que toi, parce que tu es sa femme ; et comment ferais-je ce grand mal, et pécherais-je contre Dieu ? |

There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he withheld anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife; and how should I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? |
No hay otro mayor que yo en esta casa, y ninguna cosa me ha reservado sino a ti, por cuanto tú eres su mujer; ¿cómo, pues, haría yo este grande mal, y pecaría contra Dios? |

And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. |
Et il arriva, comme elle parlait à Joseph, jour après jour, qu'il ne l'écouta pas pour coucher à côté d'elle, pour être avec elle. |

And it came to pass as she spoke to Joseph day by day and he hearkened not to her, to lie with her and to be with her, |
Hablando ella a José cada día, y no escuchándola él para acostarse al lado de ella, para estar con ella, |

And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. |
— Et il arriva, un certain joura, qu'il entra dans la maison pour faire ce qu'il avait à faire, et qu'il n'y avait là, dans la maison, aucun des hommes de la maison. |

that on a certain day he went into the house to do his business, and there was none of the men of the house there in the house. |
aconteció que entró él un día en casa para hacer su oficio, y no había nadie de los de casa allí. |

And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. |
Et elle le prit par son vêtement, disant : Couche avec moi. Et il laissa son vêtement dans sa main, et s'enfuit, et sortit dehors. |

Then she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me! But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran out. |
Y ella lo asió por su ropa, diciendo: Duerme conmigo. Entonces él dejó su ropa en las manos de ella, y huyó y salió. |

And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, |
Et il arriva, quand elle vit qu'il lui avait laissé son vêtement dans la main et s'était enfui dehors, |

And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and had fled forth, |
Cuando vio ella que le había dejado su ropa en sus manos, y había huido fuera, |

That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: |
qu'elle appela les hommes de sa maison, et leur parla, disant : Voyez ! on nous a amené un homme hébreu pour se moquer de nous : il est venu vers moi pour coucher avec moi ; |

that she called to the men of her house, and spoke to them, saying, See, he has brought in a Hebrew man to us, to mock us: he came in to me, to lie with me; and I cried with a loud voice; |
llamó a los de casa, y les habló diciendo: Mirad, nos ha traído un hebreo para que hiciese burla de nosotros. Vino él a mí para dormir conmigo, y yo di grandes voces; |

And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out. |
et j'ai crié à haute voix ; et il est arrivé, quand il a entendu que j'élevais ma voix et que je criais, qu'il a laissé son vêtement à côté de moi, et s'est enfui, et est sorti dehors. |

and it came to pass when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled and went out. |
y viendo que yo alzaba la voz y gritaba, dejó junto a mí su ropa, y huyó y salió. |

And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home. |
Et elle posa le vêtement de Josephb à côté d'elle, jusqu'à ce que son seigneur vînt à la maison. |

Y ella puso junto a sí la ropa de José, hasta que vino su señor a su casa. |

And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me: |
Et elle lui parla selon ces paroles, disant : Le serviteur hébreu que tu nous as amené est venu vers moi pour se moquer de moi ; |

And she spoke to him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew bondman that thou hast brought to us came in to me to mock me; |
Entonces le habló ella las mismas palabras, diciendo: El siervo hebreo que nos trajiste, vino a mí para deshonrarme. |

And it came to pass, as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled out. |
et il est arrivé, comme j'élevais ma voix et que je criais, qu'il a laissé son vêtement à côté de moi et s'est enfui dehors. |

Y cuando yo alcé mi voz y grité, él dejó su ropa junto a mí y huyó fuera. |

And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. |
Et quand son seigneur entendit les paroles de sa femme qu'elle lui disait : C'est de cette manière que ton serviteur a agi envers moi — il arriva que sa colère s'enflamma. |

And it came to pass when his lord heard the words of his wife which she spoke to him, saying, After this manner did thy bondman to me, that his wrath was kindled. |
Y sucedió que cuando oyó el amo de José las palabras que su mujer le hablaba, diciendo: Así me ha tratado tu siervo, se encendió su furor. |

And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. |
Et le seigneur de Joseph le prit, et le mit dans la tourc, dans le lieu où les prisonniers du roi étaient enfermés ; et il fut là, dans la tour. |

And Joseph's lord took him and put him into the tower-house, the place where the king's prisoners were confined; and he was there in the tower-house. |
Y tomó su amo a José, y lo puso en la cárcel, donde estaban los presos del rey, y estuvo allí en la cárcel. |
| 21 |
But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. |
Et l'Éternel était avec Joseph ; et il étendit sa bonté sur lui, et lui fit trouver grâce aux yeux du chef de la tour. |

And Jehovah was with Joseph, and extended mercy to him, and gave him favour in the eyes of the chief of the tower-house. |
Pero Jehová estaba con Joséb y le extendió su misericordia, y le dio gracia en los ojos del jefe de la cárcel. |
| 22 |
And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. |
Et le chef de la tour mit en la main de Joseph tous les prisonniers qui étaient dans la tour, et tout ce qui se faisait là, c'est lui qui le faisait ; |

And the chief of the tower-house committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the tower-house; and whatever they had to do there he did. |
Y el jefe de la cárcel entregó en mano de José el cuidado de todos los presos que había en aquella prisión; todo lo que se hacía allí, él lo hacía. |
| 23 |
The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper. |
le chef de la tour ne regardait rien de tout ce qui était en sa main, parce que l'Éternel était avec lui ; et ce qu'il faisait, l'Éternel le faisait prospérer. |

The chief of the tower-house looked not to anything under his hand, because Jehovah was with him; and what he did, Jehovah made it prosper. |
No necesitaba atender el jefe de la cárcel cosa alguna de las que estaban al cuidado de José, porque Jehová estaba con José, y lo que él hacía, Jehová lo prosperaba. |
