| Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; | Et maintenant, je te prie, prends tes armes, ton carquois et ton arc, et sors dans les champs, et prends-moia du gibier ; | And now, I pray thee, take thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt me venison, | Toma, pues, ahora tus armas, tu aljaba y tu arco, y sal al campo y tráeme caza;
| And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. | and prepare me a savoury dish such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, in order that my soul may bless thee before I die.
| And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it. | And Rebecca heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt venison, to bring it.

| Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the Lord before my death. | Bring me venison, and prepare me a savoury dish, that I may eat, and bless thee before Jehovah, before my death.
| Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee. | And now, my son, hearken to my voice in that which I command thee.
| Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth: | Va, je te prie, au troupeau, et prends-moi là deux bons chevreauxb ; et j'en apprêterai un mets savoureux pour ton père, comme il aime ; | Go, I pray thee, to the flock, and fetch me thence two good kids of the goats. And I will make of them a savoury dish for thy father, such as he loves. | Ve ahora al ganado, y tráeme de allí dos buenos cabritos de las cabras, y haré de ellos viandas para tu padre, como a él le gusta;

| My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing. | My father perhaps will feel me, and I shall be in his sight as one who mocks him , and I shall bring a curse on me, and not a blessing.
| And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them. | And his mother said to him, On me be thy curse, my son! Only hearken to my voice, and go, fetch them .
| And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved. | Et il alla et les prit, et les apporta à sa mère ; et sa mère apprêta un mets savoureux comme son père aimait. | And he went, and fetched and brought them to his mother. 15 | And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son: | Et Rebecca prit les vêtements d'Ésaü, son fils aîné, les habits précieux qu'elle avait avec elle dans la maison, et elle en revêtit Jacob, son plus jeune fils ; | And Rebecca took the clothes of her elder son Esau, the costly ones which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son; | Y tomó Rebeca los vestidos de Esaú su hijo mayor, los preciosos, que ella tenía en casa, y vistió a Jacob su hijo menor;
| And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck: | et avec les peaux des chevreaux elle recouvrit ses mains, et le nu de son cou. | and she put the skins of the kids of the goats on his hands, and on the smooth of his neck; | y cubrió sus manos y la parte de su cuello donde no tenía vello, con las pieles de los cabritos;
| And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob. | and she gave the savoury dishes and the bread that she had prepared into the hand of her son Jacob.

| And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. | And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau, thy firstborn. I have done according as thou didst say to me. Arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, in order that thy soul may bless me. | Y Jacob dijo a su padre: Yo soy Esaú tu primogénito; he hecho como me dijiste: levántate ahora, y siéntate, y come de mi caza, para que me bendigas.
| And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the Lord thy God brought it to me. | And Isaac said to his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because Jehovah thy God put it in my way.
| And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not. | And Isaac said to Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be really my son Esau or not. | E Isaac dijo a Jacob: Acércate ahora, y te palparé, hijo mío, por si eres mi hijo Esaú o no.
| And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. | And Jacob drew near to Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
| And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him. And he did not discern him, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands; and he blessed him.
| And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. | And he said, Art thou really my son Esau? And he said, It is I. | Y dijo: ¿Eres tú mi hijo Esaú? Y Jacob respondió: Yo soy.
| And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank. | And he said, Bring it near to me, that I may eat of my son's venison, in order that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.
| And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. | Et Isaac, son père, lui dit : Approche-toi, je te prie, et baise-moi, mon fils. | And his father Isaac said to him, Come near, now, and kiss me, my son.
| And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed: | Et il s'approcha, et le baisa. | And he came near, and kissed him. And he smelt the smell of his clothes, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Jehovah hath blessed.
|
| Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: | Que Dieu te donne de la rosée des cieux et de la graisse de la terre, et une abondance de froment et de moût ! | And God give thee of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of corn and new wine. |
|
| Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. | Let peoples serve thee, And races bow down to thee. Be lord over thy brethren, And let thy mother's sons bow down to thee. Cursed be they that curse thee, And blessed be they that bless thee.

| And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. | And it came to pass when Isaac had ended blessing Jacob, and when Jacob was only just gone out from Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came from his hunting.
| And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me. | And he also had prepared savoury dishes, and he brought them in to his father, and said to his father, Let my father arise and eat of his son's venison, in order that thy soul may bless me.
| And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau. | Et Isaac, son père, lui dit : Qui es-tu ? Et il dit : Je suis ton fils, ton premier-né, Ésaü. | And Isaac his father said to him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn, Esau.
| And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed. | Then Isaac trembled with exceeding great trembling, and said, Who was he, then, that hunted venison and brought it to me? And I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him; also blessed he shall be.
| And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father. | When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said to his father, Bless me--me also, my father!
| And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. | And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and has taken away thy blessing. | Y él dijo: Vino tu hermano con engaño, y tomó tu bendición.
| And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? | And he said, Is it not therefore he was named Jacob, for he has supplanted me now twice? He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? Y dijo: ¿No has guardado bendición para mí?
| And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? | And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him lord over thee, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants, and with corn and new wine have I supplied him--and what can I do now for thee, my son? | Isaac respondió y dijo a Esaú: He aquí yo le he puesto por señor tuyo, y le he dado por siervos a todos sus hermanos; de trigo y de vino le he provisto; ¿qué, pues, te haré a ti ahora, hijo mío?
| And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. | And Esau said to his father, Hast thou then but one blessing, my father? bless me--me also, my father! And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.
| And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; | Et Isaac, son père, répondit et lui dit : Voici, ton habitation sera enc la graisse de la terre et enc la rosée des cieux d'en haut. | And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above; | Entonces Isaac su padre habló y le dijo: He aquí, será tu habitación en grosuras de la tierra, Y del rocío de los cielos de arriba; |
|
| And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. | And by thy sword shalt thou live; And thou shalt serve thy brother; And it shall come to pass when thou rovest about, That thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

| And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob. | And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand, and I will slay my brother Jacob.
| And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee. | And the words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebecca. And she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said to him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, comforts himself that he will kill thee.
| Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; | Et maintenant, mon fils, écoute ma voix : Lève-toi, fuis chez Laban, mon frère, à Charan ; | And now, my son, hearken to my voice, and arise, flee to Laban my brother, to Haran; | Ahora pues, hijo mío, obedece a mi voz; levántate y huye a casa de Labán mi hermano en Harán,
| And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away; | et tu demeureras avec lui quelques jours, jusqu'à ce que la fureur de ton frère se détourne, | and abide with him some days, until thy brother's fury turn away-- | y mora con él algunos días, hasta que el enojo de tu hermano se mitigue;
| Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day? | until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget what thou hast done to him; then I will send and fetch thee thence. Why should I be bereaved even of you both in one day?
| And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me? | And Rebecca said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good should my life do me? |
