1	And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.	☆ Et l'homme connut Ève sa femme ; et elle conçut, et enfanta Caïna ; et elle dit : J'ai acquis un homme avec l'Éternel.	And Man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have acquired a man with Jehovah.	Conoció Adán a su mujer Eva, la cual concibió y dio a luz a Caín, y dijo: Por voluntad de Jehová he adquiridoa varón.
2	And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.	Et elle enfanta encore son frère, Abelb. Et Abel paissait le menu bétail, et Caïn labourait la terrec.	And she further bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a shepherd, but Cain was a husbandman.	Después dio a luz a su hermano Abel. Y Abel fue pastor de ovejas, y Caín fue labrador de la tierra.
3	And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.	Et il arriva, au bout de quelque temps, que Caïn apporta, du fruit du sol, une offrande à l'Éternel.	And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to Jehovah.	Y aconteció andando el tiempo, que Caín trajo del fruto de la tierra una ofrenda a Jehová.
4	And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:	Et Abel apporta, lui aussi, des premiers-nés de son troupeau, et de leur graisse. Et l'Éternel eut égard à Abel et à son offrande ;	And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of their fat. And Jehovah looked upon Abel, and on his offering;	Y Abel trajo también de los primogénitos de sus ovejas, de lo más gordo de ellas. Y miró Jehová con agrado a Abel y a su ofrenda;b
5	But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.	mais à Caïn et à son offrande, il n'eut pas égard. Et Caïn fut très-irrité, et son visage fut abattu.	and upon Cain, and on his offering, he did not look. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.	pero no miró con agrado a Caín y a la ofrenda suya. Y se ensañó Caín en gran manera, y decayó su semblante.
6	And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?	Et l'Éternel dit à Caïn : Pourquoi es-tu irrité, et pourquoi ton visage est-il abattu ?	And Jehovah said to Cain, Why art thou angry, and why is thy countenance fallen?	Entonces Jehová dijo a Caín: ¿Por qué te has ensañado, y por qué ha decaído tu semblante?
7	If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.	Si tu fais bien, ne seras-tu pas agréé ?d Et si tu ne fais pas bien, le péchée est couché à la porte. Et son désir sera [tourné] vers toi, et toi tu domineras sur lui.	If thou doest well, will not thy countenance look up with confidence ? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door; and unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.	Si bien hicieres, ¿no serás enaltecido? y si no hicieres bien, el pecado está a la puerta; con todo esto, a ti será su deseo, y tú te enseñorearás de él.c
8	And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.	Et Caïn parla à Abel son frère ; et il arriva, comme ils étaient aux champs, que Caïn se leva contre Abel, son frère, et le tua.	And Cain spoke to Abel his brother, and it came to pass when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.	Y dijo Caín a su hermano Abel: Salgamos al campo. Y aconteció que estando ellos en el campo, Caín se levantó contra su hermano Abel, y lo mató.d
9	And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?	Et l'Éternel dit à Caïn : Où est Abel, ton frère ? Et il dit : Je ne sais. Suis-je, moi, le gardien de mon frère ?	And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: am I my brother's keeper?	Y Jehová dijo a Caín: ¿Dónde está Abel tu hermano? Y él respondió: No sé. ¿Soy yo acaso guarda de mi hermano?
10	And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.	Et il dit : Qu'as-tu fait ? La voix du sang de ton frère crie de la terref à moi.	And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood is crying to me from the ground.	Y él le dijo: ¿Qué has hecho? La voz de la sangre de tu hermano clama a mí desde la tierra.
11	And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;	Et maintenant, tu es maudit de la terref qui a ouvert sa bouche pour recevoir de ta main le sang de ton frère.	And now be thou cursed from the ground, which hath opened its mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand.	Ahora, pues, maldito seas tú de la tierra, que abrió su boca para recibir de tu mano la sangre de tu hermano.
12	When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.	Quand tu laboureras le sol, il ne te donnera plus sa force ; tu seras errant et vagabond sur la terre.	When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield thee its strength; a wanderer and fugitive shalt thou be on the earth.	Cuando labres la tierra, no te volverá a dar su fuerza; errante y extranjero serás en la tierra.
13	And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.	Et Caïn dit à l'Éternel : Mon châtiment est trop grand pour que j'en porte le poidsg.	And Cain said to Jehovah, My punishment is too great to be borne.	Y dijo Caín a Jehová: Grande es mi castigo para ser soportado.
14	Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.	Voici, tu m'as chassé aujourd'hui de dessus la face de la terref, et je serai caché de devant ta face, et je serai errant et vagabond sur la terre ; et il arrivera que quiconque me trouvera me tuera.	Behold, thou hast driven me this day from the face of the ground, and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a wanderer and fugitive on the earth; and it will come to pass, that every one who finds me will slay me.	He aquí me echas hoy de la tierra, y de tu presencia me esconderé, y seré errante y extranjero en la tierra; y sucederá que cualquiera que me hallare, me matará.
15	And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.	Et l'Éternel lui dit : C'est pourquoi quiconque tuera Caïn sera punih sept fois. Et l'Éternel mit un signe sur Caïn, afin que quiconque le trouverait ne le tuâti point.	And Jehovah said to him, Therefore, whoever slayeth Cain, it shall be revenged sevenfold. And Jehovah set a mark on Cain, lest any finding him should smite him.	Y le respondió Jehová: Ciertamente cualquiera que matare a Caín, siete veces será castigado. Entonces Jehová puso señal en Caín, para que no lo matase cualquiera que le hallara.
16	And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.	Et Caïn sortit de devant l'Éternel ; et il habita dans le pays de Nodj, à l'orient d'Éden.	And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah, and dwelt in the land of Nod, toward the east of Eden.	Salió, pues, Caín de delante de Jehová, y habitó en tierra de Nod,e al oriente de Edén.
17	And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.	Et Caïn connut sa femme, et elle conçut, et enfanta Hénoc ; et il bâtit une ville, et appela le nom de la ville d'après le nom de son fils Hénoc.	And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city; and he called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch.	Y conoció Caín a su mujer, la cual concibió y dio a luz a Enoc; y edificó una ciudad, y llamó el nombre de la ciudad del nombre de su hijo, Enoc.
18	And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.	Et à Hénoc naquit Irad ; et Irad engendra Mehujaël ; et Mehujaël engendra Methushaël ; et Methushaël engendra Lémec.	And to Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael; and Mehujael begot Methushael; and Methushael begot Lemech.	Y a Enoc le nació Irad, e Irad engendró a Mehujael, y Mehujael engendró a Metusael, y Metusael engendró a Lamec.
19	And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.	Et Lémec prit deux femmes : le nom de l'une était Ada, et le nom de la seconde, Tsilla.	And Lemech took two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the second, Zillah.	Y Lamec tomó para sí dos mujeres; el nombre de la una fue Ada, y el nombre de la otra, Zila.
20	And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.	Et Ada enfanta Jabal : lui, fut père de ceux qui habitent sous des tentes et ont du bétail.	And Adah bore Jabal: he was the father of those who dwell in tents, and breed cattle.	Y Ada dio a luz a Jabal, el cual fue padre de los que habitan en tiendas y crían ganados.
21	And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.	Et le nom de son frère fut Jubal : lui, fut père de tous ceux qui manient la harpe et la flûte.	And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of those who handle the harp and pipe.	Y el nombre de su hermano fue Jubal, el cual fue padre de todos los que tocan arpa y flauta.
22	And Zillah, she also bare Tubal–cain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubal–cain was Naamah.	Et Tsilla, elle aussi, enfanta Tubal-Caïn, qui fut forgeur de tous les outils d'airain et de ferk. Et la sœur de Tubal-Caïn fut Naama.	And Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, the forger of every kind of tool of brass and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.	Y Zila también dio a luz a Tubal-caín, artífice de toda obra de bronce y de hierro; y la hermana de Tubal-caín fue Naama.
23	And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.	Et Lémec dit à ses femmes : Ada et Tsilla, écoutez ma voix ; femmes de Lémec, prêtez l'oreille à ma parole : Je tuerai un homme pour ma blessure, et un jeune homme pour ma meurtrissure ;	And Lemech said to his wives: Adah and Zillah, hear my voice, Ye wives of Lemech, listen to my speech. For I have slain a man for my wound, and a youth for my bruise.	Y dijo Lamec a sus mujeres: Ada y Zila, oíd mi voz; Mujeres de Lamec, escuchad mi dicho: Que un varón mataré por mi herida, Y un joven por mi golpe.
24	If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.	si Caïn est vengé sept fois, Lémec le sera soixante-dix-sept fois.	If Cain shall be avenged seven-fold; Lemech seventy and seven fold.	Si siete veces será vengado Caín, Lamec en verdad setenta veces siete lo será.
25	And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.	Et Adam connut encore sa femme ; et elle enfanta un fils, et appela son nom Sethl ; car, [dit-elle], Dieu m'a assigné une autre semence au lieu d'Abel ; car Caïn l'a tué.	And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son, and called his name Seth: ...For God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, because Cain has slain him.	Y conoció de nuevo Adán a su mujer, la cual dio a luz un hijo, y llamó su nombre Set:f Porque Dios (dijo ella) me ha sustituido otro hijo en lugar de Abel, a quien mató Caín.
26	And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.	Et à Seth, à lui aussi, naquit un fils ; et il appela son nom Énoshm. Alors on commença à invoquer le nom de l'Éternel.	And to Seth, to him also was born a son; and he called his name Enosh. Then people began to call on the name of Jehovah.	Y a Set también le nació un hijo, y llamó su nombre Enós. Entonces los hombres comenzaron a invocar el nombre de Jehová.
