Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east. |

And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well’s mouth. |
Et il regarda, et voici un puits dans les champs, et voilà trois troupeaux de menu bétail couchés auprès, (car de ce puits-là on abreuvait les troupeaux) ; et il y avait une grosse pierre sur l'ouverture du puits. |

And he looked, and behold, there was a well in the fields, and behold there, three flocks of sheep were lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a great stone was at the mouth of the well. |
Y miró, y vio un pozo en el campo; y he aquí tres rebaños de ovejas que yacían cerca de él, porque de aquel pozo abrevaban los ganados; y había una gran piedra sobre la boca del pozo. |

And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well’s mouth in his place. |
Et tous les troupeaux se rassemblaient là, et on roulait la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et on abreuvait le bétail ; puis on remettait la pierre à sa place, sur l'ouverture du puits. |

And when all the flocks were gathered there, they rolled the stone from the mouth of the well, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again on the mouth of the well in its place. |
Y juntaban allí todos los rebaños; y revolvían la piedra de la boca del pozo, y abrevaban las ovejas, y volvían la piedra sobre la boca del pozo a su lugar. |

And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we. |
Et Jacob leur dit : Mes frères, d'où êtes-vous ? Et ils dirent : Nous sommes de Charan. |

And Jacob said to them, My brethren, whence are ye? And they said, Of Haran are we. |
Y les dijo Jacob: Hermanos míos, ¿de dónde sois? Y ellos respondieron: De Harán somos. |

And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him. |
Et il leur dit : Connaissez-vous Laban, fils de Nakhor ? Et ils dirent : Nous le connaissons. |

And he said to them, Do ye know Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We do know him . |
Él les dijo: ¿Conocéis a Labán hijo de Nacor? Y ellos dijeron: Sí, le conocemos. |

And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep. |
Et il leur dit : Se porte-t-il bien ? Et ils dirent : Bien ; et voici Rachel, sa fille, qui vient avec le bétail. |

And he said to them, Is he well? And they said, He is well; and behold, there comes Rachel his daughter with the sheep. |

And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them. |
Et il dit : Voici, il est encore grand jour, il n'est pas temps de rassembler les troupeaux ; abreuvez le bétail, et allez, faites-le paître. |

And he said, Behold, it is yet high day; it is not time that the cattle should be gathered together; water the sheep, and go, feed them . |
Y él dijo: He aquí es aún muy de día; no es tiempo todavía de recoger el ganado; abrevad las ovejas, e id a apacentarlas. |

And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep. |
Et ils dirent : Nous ne le pouvons pas, jusqu'à ce que tous les troupeaux soient rassemblés ; alors on roule la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et nous abreuvons le bétail. |

And they said, We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together, and they roll the stone from the mouth of the well, and we water the sheep. |
Y ellos respondieron: No podemos, hasta que se junten todos los rebaños, y remuevan la piedra de la boca del pozo, para que abrevemos las ovejas. |

And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep: for she kept them. |

And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother. |
Et il arriva, quand Jacob vit Rachel, fille de Laban, frère de sa mère, et le bétail de Laban, frère de sa mère, que Jacob s'approcha, et roula la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, et abreuva le bétail de Laban, frère de sa mère. |

And it came to pass when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the mouth of the well, and watered the sheep of Laban his mother's brother. |
Y sucedió que cuando Jacob vio a Raquel, hija de Labán hermano de su madre, y las ovejas de Labán el hermano de su madre, se acercó Jacob y removió la piedra de la boca del pozo, y abrevó el rebaño de Labán hermano de su madre. |

And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept. |

And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things. |
Et il arriva que, lorsque Laban apprit les nouvelles de Jacob, fils de sa sœur, il courut à sa rencontre, et l'embrassa et le baisa, et le fit entrer dans sa maison ; et [Jacob] raconta à Laban toutes ces choses. |

And it came to pass when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house; and he told Laban all these things. |
Así que oyó Labán las nuevas de Jacob, hijo de su hermana, corrió a recibirlo, y lo abrazó, lo besó, y lo trajo a su casa; y él contó a Labán todas estas cosas. |

And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month. |

And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be? |
Et Laban dit à Jacob : Parce que tu es mon frère, me serviras-tu pour rien ? Dis-moi quel sera ton salaire ? |

And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. |

And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter. |

And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her. |
Et Jacob servit pour Rachel sept années ; et elles furent à ses yeux comme peu de jours, parce qu'il l'aimait. |

And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her. |
Et Jacob dit à Laban : Donne-moi ma femme ; car mes jours sont accomplis, et je viendrai vers elle. |

And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. |

And Laban gave to her Zilpah, his maidservant, to be maidservant to Leah his daughter. |
Y dio Labán su sierva Zilpa a su hija Lea por criada. |

And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? |
Et il arriva, au matin, que voici, c'était Léa. Et il dit à Laban : Que m'as-tu fait ? N'est-ce pas pour Rachel que je t'ai servi ? et pourquoi m'as-tu trompé ? |

And it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done to me? Have I not served thee for Rachel? Why then hast thou deceived me? |
Venida la mañana, he aquí que era Lea; y Jacob dijo a Labán: ¿Qué es esto que me has hecho? ¿No te he servido por Raquel? ¿Por qué, pues, me has engañado? |

And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. |
Et Laban dit : On ne fait pas ainsi, dans notre lieu, de donner la plus jeune avant l'aînée. |

And Laban said, It is not so done in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn. |
Y Labán respondió: No se hace así en nuestro lugar, que se dé la menor antes de la mayor. |

Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. |
Accomplis la semaine de celle-ci, et nous te donnerons aussi celle-là, pour le service que tu feras chez moi encore sept autres années. |

Fulfil the week with this one: then we will give thee the other one also, for the service that thou shalt serve me yet seven other years. |
Cumple la semana de esta, y se te dará también la otra, por el servicio que hagas conmigo otros siete años. |

And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also. |
Et Jacob fit ainsi, et il accomplit la semaine de celle-ci. Et [Laban] lui donna Rachel, sa fille, pour femme. |

And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years. |

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me. |
Et Léa conçut, et enfanta un fils, et elle appela son nom Rubenb, car elle dit : Parce que l'Éternel a regardé mon affliction ; car maintenant mon mari m'aimera. |

And Leah conceived, and bore a son, and called his name Reuben; for she said, Because Jehovah has looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me. |
Y concibió Lea, y dio a luz un hijo, y llamó su nombre Rubén,a porque dijo: Ha mirado Jehová mi aflicción; ahora, por tanto, me amará mi marido. |

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the Lord hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon. |
Et elle conçut encore, et enfanta un fils, et dit : Parce que l'Éternel a entendu que j'étais haïe, il m'a donné aussi celui-ci ; et elle appela son nom Siméonc. |

And she again conceived, and bore a son, and said, Because Jehovah has heard that I am hated, he has therefore given me this one also; and she called his name Simeon. |

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi. |
Et elle conçut encore, et enfanta un fils, et dit : Maintenant, cette fois, mon mari s'attachera à moi, car je lui ai enfanté trois fils ; c'est pourquoi on appela son nom Lévid. |

And she again conceived, and bore a son, and said, Now this time will my husband be united to me, for I have borne him three sons; therefore was his name called Levi. |
Y concibió otra vez, y dio a luz un hijo, y dijo: Ahora esta vez se unirác mi marido conmigo, porque le he dado a luz tres hijos; por tanto, llamó su nombre Leví. |

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the Lord: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing. |
Et elle conçut encore, et enfanta un fils, et dit : Cette fois, je louerai l'Éternel ; c'est pourquoi elle appela son nom Judae ; et elle cessa d'enfanter. |

And she again conceived, and bore a son, and said, This time will I praise Jehovah; therefore she called his name Judah. And she ceased to bear. |
Concibió otra vez, y dio a luz un hijo, y dijo: Esta vez alabaréd a Jehová; por esto llamó su nombre Judá; y dejó de dar a luz. |
