1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. La sagesse des femmes bâtit leur maison, mais la folie la détruit de ses propres mains. The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands. La mujer sabia edifica su casa;
2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. Celui qui marche dans sa droiture craint l'Éternel, mais celui qui est pervers dans ses voies le méprise. He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him. El que camina en su rectitud teme a Jehová;
Mas el de caminos pervertidos lo menosprecia.
3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. Dans la bouche du fou est la verge d'orgueil, mais les lèvres des sages les gardent. In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. En la boca del necio está la vara de la soberbia;
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. Où il n'y a point de bœufs, la crèche est vide ; et l'abondance du revenu est dans la force du bœuf. Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox. Sin bueyes el granero está vacío;
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. Le témoin fidèle ne ment pas, mais le faux témoin profère des mensonges. A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies. El testigo verdadero no mentirá;
Mas el testigo falso hablará mentiras.
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. Le moqueur cherche la sagesse, et il n'y en a pas [pour lui] ; mais la connaissance est aisée pour l'homme intelligent. A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none for him ; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent. Busca el escarnecedor la sabiduría y no la halla;
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. La sagesse de l'homme avisé est de discerner sa voie, mais la folie des sots est tromperie. The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit. La ciencia del prudente está en entender su camino;
9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. Les fous se moquent du péché, mais pourb les hommes droits il y a faveur. Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour. Los necios se mofan del pecado;
Mas entre los rectos hay buena voluntad.
10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. Le cœur connaît sa propre amertume, et un étranger ne se mêle pas à sa joie. The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy. El corazón conoce la amargura de su alma;
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. La maison des méchants sera détruite, mais la tente des hommes droits fleurira. The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish. La casa de los impíos será asolada;
Pero florecerá la tienda de los rectos.
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Il y a telle voie qui semble droite à un homme, mais des voies de mort en sont la fin. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death. Hay camino que al hombre le parece derecho;
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. Même dans le rire le cœur est triste ; et la fin de la joie, c'est le chagrin. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness. Aun en la risa tendrá dolor el corazón;
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. Le cœur qui s'éloigne [de Dieu] sera rassasié de ses propres voies, mais l'homme de bien [le sera] de ce qui est en lui. The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself. De sus caminos será hastiado el necio de corazón;
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. Le simple croit toute parole, mais l'homme avisé discerne ses pas. The simple believeth every word; but the prudent man heedeth his going. El simple todo lo cree;
Mas el avisado mira bien sus pasos.
16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. Le sage craint, et se retire du mal ; mais le sot est arrogantc et a de l'assurance. A wise man feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident. El sabio teme y se aparta del mal;
17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. L'homme prompt à la colère agit follement, et l'homme qui fait des machinations est haï. He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated. El que fácilmente se enoja hará locuras;
Y el hombre perverso será aborrecido.
18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Les simples héritent la folie, mais les avisés sont couronnés de connaissance. The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Los simples heredarán necedad;
Mas los prudentes se coronarán de sabiduría.
19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous man .
20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. Le pauvre est haï, même de son compagnon, mais les amis du riche sont en grand nombre. He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends. El pobre es odioso aun a su amigo;
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. Qui méprise son prochain pèche, mais bienheureux celui qui use de grâce envers les malheureuxd ! He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he. Peca el que menosprecia a su prójimo;
22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good. Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. En tout travail il y a profit, mais la parole des lèvres ne mène qu'à la disette. In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips tendeth only to want. En toda labor hay fruto;
24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly. Les richesses des sages sont leur couronne ; la folie des sots est folie. The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly. Las riquezas de los sabios son su corona;
25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. Un témoin fidèle délivre les âmes, mais la tromperie profère des mensonges. A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies. El testigo verdadero libra las almas;
Mas el engañoso hablará mentiras.
26 In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. Dans la crainte de l'Éternel il y a la sécurité de la force, et il y a un refuge pour ses filsf. In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge. En el temor de Jehová está la fuerte confianza;
Y esperanza tendrán sus hijos.
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
28 In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. La gloire d'un roi, c'est la multitude du peuple, mais dans le manque de peuple est la ruine d'un prince. In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince. En la multitud del pueblo está la gloria del rey;
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. La lenteur à la colère est grande intelligence, mais celui qui est d'un esprit impatient exalte la folie. He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. El que tarda en airarse es grande de entendimiento;
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. Un cœur sain est la vie de la chair, mais l'envie est la pourriture des os. A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones. El corazón apacible es vida de la carne;
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. Qui opprime le pauvre outrageg Celui qui l'a fait, mais celui qui l'honoreh use de grâce envers l'indigent. He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy. El que oprime al pobre afrenta a su Hacedor;
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death. Le méchant est chassé par son iniquité, mais le juste est plein de confiance, dans sa mort [même]. The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, even in his death. Por su maldad será lanzado el impío;
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. La sagesse demeure dans le cœur de celui qui a du discernement, mais ce qui est au dedans des sots est connu. Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent man ; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known. En el corazón del prudente reposa la sabiduría;
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. La justice élève une nation, mais le péché est la honte des peuples. Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples. La justicia engrandece a la nación;
35 The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. La faveur du roi est pour le serviteur intelligent, mais sa colère est sur celui qui fait honte. The king's favour is toward a wise servant; but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. La benevolencia del rey es para con el servidor entendido;
