1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. La fausse balance est en abomination à l'Éternel, mais le poids juste lui est agréable. A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; but a just weight is his delight. El peso falso es abominación a Jehová;
Mas la pesa cabal le agrada.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. [Quand] vient l'orgueil, la honte vient aussi ; mais la sagesse est avec les hommes modestes. When pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom. Cuando viene la soberbia, viene también la deshonra;
Mas con los humildes está la sabiduría.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. L'intégrité des hommes droits les guide, mais la perversité des perfides les détruit. The integrity of the upright guideth them; but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroyeth them. La integridad de los rectos los encaminará;
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. Les richesses ne profitent de rien au jour de la colère, mais la justice délivre de la mort. Wealth profiteth not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivereth from death. No aprovecharán las riquezas en el día de la ira;
Mas la justicia librará de muerte.
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. La justice de l'homme intègre rend droite sa voie, mais le méchant tombe par sa méchanceté. The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way; but the wicked falleth by his own wickedness. La justicia del perfecto enderezará su camino;
Mas el impío por su impiedad caerá.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. La justice des hommes droits les délivre, mais les perfides sont pris dans leur avidité. The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving. La justicia de los rectos los librará;
7 When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. Quand l'homme méchant meurt, son espérance périt, et l'attente des iniques périt. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish; and the hope of evil men perisheth. Cuando muere el hombre impío, perece su esperanza;
Y la expectación de los malos perecerá.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. Le juste est délivré de la détresse, et le méchant [y] entre à sa place. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. El justo es librado de la tribulación;
Mas el impío entra en lugar suyo.
9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. Par sa bouche l'impiea perd son prochain ; mais les justes sont délivrés par la connaissance. With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered. El hipócrita con la boca daña a su prójimo;
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. La ville se réjouit du bien-être des justes ; et quand les méchants périssent il y a des cris de joie. When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. En el bien de los justos la ciudad se alegra;
Mas cuando los impíos perecen hay fiesta.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. La ville s'élève par la bénédiction des hommes droits, mais elle est renversée par la bouche des méchants. By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. Por la bendición de los rectos la ciudad será engrandecida;
12 He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. Qui méprise son prochain est dépourvu de sens, mais l'homme intelligent se tait. He that despiseth his neighbour is void of heart; but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. El que carece de entendimiento menosprecia a su prójimo;
Mas el hombre prudente calla.
13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. Celui qui va rapportant révèle le secret, mais celui qui est d'un esprit fidèle couvre la chose. He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets; but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. El que anda en chismes descubre el secreto;
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Quand il n'y a pas de direction le peuple tombe, mais il y a salut dans le grand nombre des conseillers. Where no advice is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Donde no hay dirección sabia, caerá el pueblo;
15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure. On se trouve mal de cautionner un étranger, mais celui qui hait ceux qui frappent [dans la main] b est en sûreté. It goeth ill with him that is surety for another; but he that hateth suretyship is secure. Con ansiedad será afligido el que sale por fiador de un extraño;
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. A gracious woman retaineth honour; and the violent retain riches. La mujer agraciada tendrá honra,
Y los fuertes tendrán riquezas.
17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. L'homme bon fait du bien à son âme, mais le cruel trouble sa chair. The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; but the cruel troubleth his own flesh. A su alma hace bien el hombre misericordioso;
18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. Le méchant fait une œuvre trompeuse, mais celui qui sème la justice a un vrai salaire. The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but he that soweth righteousness hath a sure reward. El impío hace obra falsa;
19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. As righteousness tendeth to life, so he that pursueth evil doeth it to his own death.
20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight. Ceux qui sont pervers de cœur sont en abomination à l'Éternel, mais ceux qui sont intègres dans leurs voies lui sont agréables. The perverse in heart are abomination to Jehovah; but they that are perfect in their way are his delight. Abominación son a Jehová los perversos de corazón;
21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Certainementd l'inique ne sera point tenu pour innocent ; mais la semence des justes sera délivrée. Hand for hand! an evil man shall not be held innocent; but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. Tarde o temprano, el malo será castigado;
22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. A fair woman who is without discretion, is as a gold ring in a swine's snout.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. Le désir des justes n'est que le bien ; l'attente des méchants, c'est la fureur. The desire of the righteous is only good; the expectation of the wicked is wrath. El deseo de los justos es solamente el bien;
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. Tel disperse, et augmente encore ; et tel retient plus qu'il ne faut, mais n'en a que disette. There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is right, but it tendeth only to want. Hay quienes reparten, y les es añadido más;
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. L'âme qui bénit sera engraissée, et celui qui arrose sera lui-même arrosé. The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. El alma generosa será prosperada;
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. Celui qui retient le blé, le peuple le maudit ; mais la bénédiction sera sur la tête de celui qui le vend. He that withholdeth corn, the people curse him; but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. Al que acapara el grano, el pueblo lo maldecirá;
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him. Qui recherche le bien cherche la faveur, mais le mal arrive à qui le recherche. He that is earnest after good seeketh favour; but he that searcheth for mischief, it shall come upon him. El que procura el bien buscará favor;
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. Celui-là tombe qui se confie en ses richesses ; mais les justes verdissent comme la feuille. He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a leaf. El que confía en sus riquezas caerá;
Mas los justos reverdecerán como ramas.
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. Celui qui trouble sa maison héritera le vent, et le fou deviendra serviteur de celui qui est sage de cœur. He that troubleth his own house shall inherit wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. El que turba su casa heredará viento;
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Le fruit du juste est un arbre de vie, et le sage gagne les âmesf. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls. El fruto del justo es árbol de vida;
Y el que gana almas es sabio.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner. Voici, le juste est rétribué sur la terre, combien plus le méchant et le pécheur ! Behold, the righteous shall be requited on the earth: how much more the wicked and the sinner. Ciertamente el justo será recompensado en la tierra;
