Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. |

so that thine alms may be in secret, and thy Father who sees in secret will render it to thee. |

Et quand vous jeûnez, ne prenez pas, comme les hypocrites, un air morne, car ils donnent à leur visage un air défait, en sorte qu'il paraisse aux hommes qu'ils jeûnent. En vérité, je vous dis : ils ont déjà leur récompense ! |

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: |
Ne vous amassez pas des trésors sur la terre, où la teigne et la rouille gâtent, et où les voleurs percent et dérobent ; |
No amaséis tesoros sobre la tierra, donde la polilla y el óxido consumen, y donde los ladrones entran y roban; |
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust spoils, and where thieves dig through and steal; |

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: |

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. |

but if thine eye be wicked, thy whole body will be dark. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great the darkness! |

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. |

Nadie puede servir a dos amos, porque o aborrecerá al uno y amará al otro, o querrá a uno y despreciará al otro. No podéis servir a Dios y al Dinero. |

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? |
C'est pourquoi je vous dis : Ne soyez pas en souci pour votre vie, de ce que vous mangerez et de ce que vous boirez, ni pour votre corps, de quoi vous serez vêtus : la vie n'est-elle pas plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que le vêtement ? |
Por esto os digo: No os preocupéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer, o qué habéis de beber; ni por vuestro cuerpo, qué habéis de vestir. ¿No es la vida más que el alimento y el cuerpo más que el vestido? |
For this cause I say unto you, Do not be careful about your life, what ye should eat and what ye should drink; nor for your body what ye should put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment? |

Regardez aux oiseaux du ciel : ils ne sèment, ni ne moissonnent, ni n'assemblent dans des greniers, et votre Père céleste les nourrit. Ne valez-vous pas beaucoup mieux qu'eux ? |
Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran ni cosechan, ni recogen en graneros; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta; ¿no sois vosotros más importantes que ellas? |
Look at the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, nor reap, nor gather into granaries, and your heavenly Father nourishes them. Are *ye* not much more excellent than they? |
Mirad las aves del cielo, que no siembran, ni siegan, ni recogen en graneros; y vuestro Padre celestial las alimenta. ¿No valéis vosotros mucho más que ellas? |

Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? |

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: |
Et pourquoi êtes-vous en souci du vêtement ? Étudiez les lis des champs, comment ils croissent : ils ne travaillent ni ne filent ; |

And why are ye careful about clothing? Observe with attention the lilies of the field, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; |

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. |

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? |
Et si Dieu revêt ainsi l'herbe des champs qui est aujourd'hui, et qui demain est jetée dans le four, ne vous [vêtira-t-il] pas beaucoup plutôt, gens de petite foi ? |

But if God so clothe the herbage of the field, which is to-day, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will he not much rather you, O ye of little faith? |

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? |

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. |
