And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan; |

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, |

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? |
et qu'il dit : «C'est pourquoi, l'homme laissera son père et sa mère et sera uni à sa femme ; et les deux seront une seule chaira» [Genèse 2:24] ? |

and said, On account of this a man shall leave father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh? |

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. |

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? |

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. |
Il leur dit : Moïse, à cause de votre dureté de cœur, vous a permis de répudier vos femmes ; mais au commencement il n'en était pas ainsi. |

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. |
Et je vous dis que quiconque répudiera sa femme, non pour cause de fornication, et en épousera une autre, commet adultère ; et celui qui épouse une femme répudiée, commet adultère. |

But I say unto you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, not for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and he who marries one put away commits adultery. |

His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. |

But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. |

Pero él les dijo: No todos tienen capacidad para recibir estas palabras, sino aquellos a quienes les es dado. |
And he said to them, All cannot receive this word, but those to whom it has been given; |

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. |
car il y a des eunuques qui sont nés tels dès le ventre de leur mère ; et il y a des eunuques qui ont été faits eunuques par les hommes ; et il y a des eunuques qui se sont faits eux-mêmes eunuques pour le royaume des cieux. Que celui qui peut le recevoir, le reçoive. |
Porque hay eunucos que nacieron así desde el seno de sus madres; y hay eunucos que fueron hechos eunucos por los hombres; y hay eunucos que a sí mismos se hicieron eunucos por causa del reino de los cielos. El que pueda recibirlo, que lo reciba. |

Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. |

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. |

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and do not hinder them from coming to me; for the kingdom of the heavens is of such: |

And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. |

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? |

And lo, one coming up said to him, Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have life eternal? |

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. |
Et il lui dit : Pourquoi m'interroges-tu touchant ce qui est bon ? Un seul est bon. Mais si tu veux entrer dans la vie, garde les commandements. |
Él le dijo: ¿Por qué me preguntas acerca de lo bueno? Uno solo es el bueno. Pero si quieres entrar en la vida, guarda los mandamientos. |
And he said to him, What askest thou me concerning goodness? one is good. But if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments. |

He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, |
Il lui dit : Lesquels ? Et Jésus dit : Tu ne tueras point ; tu ne commettras point adultère ; tu ne déroberas point ; tu ne diras point de faux témoignage ; |

The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? |

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. |
Jésus lui dit : Si tu veux être parfait, va, vends ce que tu as, et donne aux pauvres ; et tu auras un trésor dans le ciel ; et viens, suis-moi. |
Le dijo Jesús: Si quieres ser perfecto, vete, vende cuanto tienes, y dalo a los pobres, y tendrás un tesoro en el cielo; y ven, sígueme. |

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. |

But the young man, having heard the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions. |

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. |
Et Jésus dit à ses disciples : En vérité, je vous dis qu'un riche entrera difficilement dans le royaume des cieux ; |
Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: En verdad os digo que un rico difícilmente entrará en el reino de los cielos. |
And Jesus said to his disciples, Verily I say unto you, A rich man shall with difficulty enter into the kingdom of the heavens; |

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. |
et je vous le dis encore : Il est plus facile qu'un chameau entre par un trou d'aiguille, qu'un riche n'entre dans le royaume de Dieu. |
Otra vez os digo que le es más fácil a un camello pasar por un ojo de aguja, que un rico entre en el reino de Dios. |
and again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to enter a needle's eye than a rich man into the kingdom of God. |

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? |
Et les disciples, l'ayant entendu, s'étonnèrent fort, disant : Qui donc peut être sauvé ? |
Al oírlo los discípulos, se asombraron mucho, diciendo: Entonces ¿quién puede ser salvo? |
And when the disciples heard it they were exceedingly astonished, saying, Who then can be saved? |

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. |
Et Jésus, [les] regardant, leur dit : Pour les hommes, cela est impossible ; mais pour Dieu, toutes choses sont possibles. |

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? |
Alors Pierre, répondant, lui dit : Voici, nous avons tout quitté et nous t'avons suivi ; que nous adviendra-t-il donc ? |

Then Peter answering said to him, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee; what then shall happen to us? |

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
Et Jésus leur dit : En vérité, je vous dis que vous qui m'avez suivi, — dans la régénération, quand le fils de l'homme se sera assis sur le trône de sa gloire, vous aussi, vous serez assis sur douze trônes, jugeant les douze tribus d'Israël ; |

And Jesus said to them, Verily I say unto you, That *ye* who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit down upon his throne of glory, *ye* also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
Y Jesús les dijo: De cierto os digo que en la regeneración, cuando el Hijo del Hombre se siente en el trono de su gloria,k vosotros que me habéis seguido también os sentaréis sobre doce tronos, para juzgar a las doce tribus de Israel.l |

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. |
et quiconque aura quitté maisons, ou frères, ou sœurs, ou père, ou mère, ou femme, ou enfants, ou champs, pour l'amour de mon nom, en recevra cent fois autant, et héritera de la vie éternelle. |
Y todo aquel que dejó casas, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o madre, o mujer, o hijos, o tierras, por causa de mi nombre, recibirá mucho más, y heredará la vida eterna |
And every one who has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit life eternal. |
Y cualquiera que haya dejado casas, o hermanos, o hermanas, o padre, o madre, o mujer, o hijos, o tierras, por mi nombre, recibirá cien veces más, y heredará la vida eterna. |

But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. |
Mais plusieurs qui sont les premiers seront les derniers, et des derniers seront les premiers. |
