I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: |

I count myself happy, king Agrippa, in having to answer to-day before thee concerning all of which I am accused by the Jews, |

Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently. |

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews; |

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. |
m'ayant connu depuis le commencement, s'ils veulent en rendre témoignage, [et sachant] que, selon la secte la plus exacte de notre culte, j'ai vécu pharisien. |

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: |

And now I stand to be judged because of the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers, |

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. |
à laquelle nos douze tribus, en servant [Dieu] sans relâche nuit et jour, espèrent parvenir ; et c'est pour cette espérance, ô roi, que je suis accusé par les Juifs. |

to which our whole twelve tribes serving incessantly day and night hope to arrive; about which hope, O king, I am accused of the Jews. |

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. |
Pour moi donc, j'aia pensé en moi-même qu'il fallait faire beaucoup contre le nom de Jésus le Nazaréen : |
Yo, en verdad, pensé que debía hacer muchas cosas contra el nombre de Jesús el Nazareno; |
*I* indeed myself thought that I ought to do much against the name of Jesus the Nazaraean. |

Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. |
ce que j'ai fait aussi dans Jérusalem ; et j'ai enfermé dans les prisons plusieurs des saints, après en avoir reçu le pouvoir des principaux sacrificateurs ; et quand on les faisait mourir, j'y donnais ma voix ; |

Which also I did in Jerusalem, and myself shut up in prisons many of the saints, having received the authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my vote. |

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. |
et souvent, dans toutes les synagogues, en les punissant, je les contraignais de blasphémer ; et transporté de fureur contre eux, je les persécutais même jusque dans les villes étrangères. |
Muchas veces, castigándolos por todas las sinagogas, los forzaba a blasfemar; y lleno de furor contra ellos, los perseguía hasta en las ciudades extranjeras. |
And often punishing them in all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And, being exceedingly furious against them, I persecuted them even to cities out of our own land . |

Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, |

And when, engaged in this, I was journeying to Damascus, with authority and power from the chief priests, |

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. |
en chemin, en plein midi, je vis, ô roi, une lumière plus éclatante que la splendeur du soleil, laquelle resplendit du ciel autour de moi et de ceux qui étaient en chemin avec moi. |
cuando al mediodía, ¡oh rey!, yendo por el camino, vi una luz que venía del cielo, más brillante que el sol, su resplandor me rodeó a mí y a los que me acompañaban. |
at mid-day, on the way, I saw, O king, a light above the brightness of the sun, shining from heaven round about me and those who were journeying with me. |
cuando a mediodía, oh rey, yendo por el camino, vi una luz del cielo que sobrepasaba el resplandor del sol, la cual me rodeó a mí y a los que iban conmigo. |

And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. |
Et comme nous étions tous tombés à terre, j'entendis une voix qui me parlait et qui disait en langue hébraïque : Saul ! Saul ! pourquoi me persécutes-tu ? Il t'est dur de regimber contre les aiguillons. |
Y, después de caer todos al suelo, oí una voz que me decía en lengua hebrea: ¡Saulo, Saulo!, ¿por qué me persigues? ¡Dura cosa te es dar coces contra los aguijones! |
And, when we were all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against goads. |
Y habiendo caído todos nosotros en tierra, oí una voz que me hablaba, y decía en lengua hebrea: Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué me persigues? Dura cosa te es dar coces contra el aguijón. |

And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. |
Et moi je dis : Qui es-tu, Seigneur ? Et le Seigneur dit : Je suis Jésus que tu persécutes. |
Yo dije: ¿Quién eres, Señor? Y me contestó: Yo soy Jesús, a quien tú persigues. |
And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, *I* am Jesus whom *thou* persecutest: |

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; |
Mais lève-toi et tiens-toi sur tes pieds : car je te suis apparu afin de te désigner pour serviteurb et témoin, et des choses que tu as vues et de celles pour [la révélation] desquelles je t'apparaîtrai, |
Pero levántate y quédate de pie; porque para esto te he aparecido, para hacerte ministro mío y testigo de las cosas que has visto, como de aquellas por las que me apareceré a ti, |
but rise up and stand on thy feet; for, for this purpose have I appeared to thee, to appoint thee to be a servant and a witness both of what thou hast seen, and of what I shall appear to thee in, |
Pero levántate, y ponte sobre tus pies; porque para esto he aparecido a ti, para ponerte por ministro y testigo de las cosas que has visto, y de aquellas en que me apareceré a ti, |

Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, |
en te retirant du milieu du peuple et des nations vers lesquellesc moi je t'envoie pour ouvrir leurs yeux, |
librándote del pueblo y de los gentiles; a quienes yo te envío |
taking thee out from among the people, and the nations, to whom *I* send thee, |

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. |
pour qu'ils se tournent des ténèbres à la lumière, et du pouvoir de Satan à Dieu ; pour qu'ils reçoivent la rémission des péchés et une partd avec ceux qui sont sanctifiés, par la foi en moi. |
para abrirles los ojos, para que se conviertan de las tinieblas a la luz, y del poder de Satanás a Dios; para que reciban el perdón de los pecados y herencia entre los que son santificados por la fe en mí. |
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me. |
para que abras sus ojos, para que se conviertan de las tinieblas a la luz, y de la potestad de Satanás a Dios; para que reciban, por la fe que es en mí, perdón de pecados y herencia entre los santificados. |

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: |

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. |
mais j'ai annoncé premièrement à ceux de Damas, et à Jérusalem, et à tout le pays de la Judée, et aux nations, de se repentir et de se tourner vers Dieu, en faisant des œuvres convenables à la repentance. |
primero a los habitantes de Damasco y de Jerusalén, y luego a todo el país de Judea y a los gentiles, proclamé que se arrepintiesen y se convirtiesen a Dios, haciendo obras dignas del arrepentimiento. |
but have, first to those both in Damascus and Jerusalem, and to all the region of Judaea, and to the nations, announced that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance. |
sino que anuncié primeramente a los que están en Damasco,c y Jerusalén,d y por toda la tierra de Judea, y a los gentiles, que se arrepintiesen y se convirtiesen a Dios, haciendo obras dignas de arrepentimiento. |

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. |
À cause de cela les Juifs, m'ayant pris dans le temple, cherchaient à me tuer. |
Por esto los judíos me prendieron en el templo y querían matarme. |
On account of these things the Jews, having seized me in the temple, attempted to lay hands on and destroy me. |

Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: |
Ayant donc reçu le secours qui vient de Dieu, me voici debout jusqu'à ce jour, rendant témoignage aux petits et aux grands, ne disant rien d'autre que ce que les prophètes et Moïse ont annoncé devoir arriver, |
Habiendo recibido la ayuda de Dios, me he mantenido firme hasta hoy, dando testimonio a pequeños y grandes, sin decir otra cosa que lo que los profetas y Moisés dijeron que debía suceder; |
Having therefore met with the help which is from God, I have stood firm unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying nothing else than those things which both the prophets and Moses have said should happen, |
Pero habiendo obtenido auxilio de Dios, persevero hasta el día de hoy, dando testimonio a pequeños y a grandes, no diciendo nada fuera de las cosas que los profetas y Moisés dijeron que habían de suceder: |

That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. |
[savoir] qu'il fallait que le Christ fût soumis aux souffrances, et que, le premier, par [la] résurrection des mortse, il devait annoncer la lumière et au peuple et aux nations. |
que Cristo debía padecer, y como el primero en la resurrección de entre los muertos, él iba a proclamar luz tanto al pueblo como a los gentiles. |
namely, whether Christ should suffer; whether he first, through resurrection of the dead, should announce light both to the people and to the nations. |
Que el Cristo había de padecer, y ser el primero de la resurrección de los muertos, para anunciar luz al pueblo y a los gentiles.e |

And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. |
Et comme il parlait ainsi pour sa défense, Festus dit à haute voix : Tu es hors de sens, Paul ; ton grand savoir te met hors de sens. |
Como Pablo decía estas cosas en su defensa, Festo clamó a gran voz: ¡Loco estás, Pablo! Tu mucho saber te ha vuelto loco. |
And as he answered for his defence with these things, Festus says with a loud voice, Thou art mad, Paul; much learning turns thee to madness. |
Diciendo él estas cosas en su defensa, Festo a gran voz dijo: Estás loco, Pablo; las muchas letras te vuelven loco. |

But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness. |
Mais Paul dit : Je ne suis point hors de sens, très-excellent Festus, mais je prononce des paroles de vérité et de sens rassis : |
Pablo dijo: No estoy loco, excelentísimo Festo; sino que pronuncio palabras de verdad y de cordura. |
But Paul said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter words of truth and soberness; |
Mas él dijo: No estoy loco, excelentísimo Festo, sino que hablo palabras de verdad y de cordura. |

For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. |
car le roi a la connaissance de ces choses, et je parle hardiment devant lui, car je suis persuadé qu'il n'ignore rien de ces choses : car ceci n'a point été fait en secret. |
Porque el rey ante quien hablo con franqueza entiende de estas cosas, estoy seguro de que no ignora nada de ello; porque no ha sido hecho a escondidas. |
for the king is informed about these things, to whom also I speak with all freedom. For I am persuaded that of these things nothing is hidden from him; for this was not done in a corner. |
Pues el rey sabe estas cosas, delante de quien también hablo con toda confianza. Porque no pienso que ignora nada de esto; pues no se ha hecho esto en algún rincón. |

King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. |
Ô roi Agrippa ! crois-tu aux prophètes ? Je sais que tu [y] crois. |
Rey Agripa, ¿crees tú a los profetas? Yo sé que crees. |
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. |

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. |
Et Agrippa [dit] à Paul : Tu me persuaderas bientôtf d'être chrétien. |
Respondió Agripa a Pablo: ¡Por poco me persuades a ser cristiano! |
And Agrippa said to Paul, In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian. |
Entonces Agripa dijo a Pablo: Por poco me persuades a ser cristiano. |

And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds. |
Mais Paul [dit] : Plût à Dieu que non seulement toi, mais aussi tous ceux qui m'entendent aujourd'hui, vous devinssiez de toutes manièresg tels que je suis, hormis ces liens. |
Pablo dijo: Quiera Dios que, por poco o por mucho, no solo tú, sino todos cuantos hoy me oyen, lleguen a ser tales como yo soy, salvo estas cadenas. |
And Paul said , I would to God, both in little and in much, that not only thou, but all who have heard me this day, should become such as *I* also am, except these bonds. |
Y Pablo dijo: ¡Quisiera Dios que por poco o por mucho, no solamente tú, sino también todos los que hoy me oyen, fueseis hechos tales cual yo soy, excepto estas cadenas! |

And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them: |
Et le roi se leva, et le gouverneur et Bérénice, et ceux qui étaient assis avec eux ; |
Se levantó el rey, el gobernador, Berenice y los que con ellos estaban sentados; |
And the king stood up, and the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them, |
Cuando había dicho estas cosas, se levantó el rey, y el gobernador, y Berenice, y los que se habían sentado con ellos; |

And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds. |
et quand ils se furent retirés, ils conférèrent entre eux, disant : Cet homme ne fait rien qui soit digne de mort ou de liens. |
y cuando se retiraron aparte, hablaban entre sí, diciendo: Este hombre nada ha hecho que sea digno de muerte o de prisión. |
and having gone apart, they spoke to one another saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds. |

Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cæsar. |
Et Agrippa dit à Festus : Cet homme aurait pu être relâché, s'il n'en avait appelé à César. |
Agripa dijo a Festo: Este hombre podría haber sido puesto en libertad si no hubiese apelado a César. |
And Agrippa said to Festus, This man might have been let go if he had not appealed to Caesar. |
