Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. |

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) |

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. |

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. |

And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. |
Mais lorsque Hérode allait le produire, cette nuit-là, Pierre dormait entre deux soldats, lié de deux chaînes ; et des gardes, devant la porte, gardaient la prison. |

And when Herod was going to bring him forth, that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards before the door kept the prison. |
Y cuando Herodes le iba a sacar, aquella misma noche estaba Pedro durmiendo entre dos soldados, sujeto con dos cadenas, y los guardas delante de la puerta custodiaban la cárcel. |

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. |
Et voici, un ange du ∗Seigneur survint, et une lumière resplendit dans la prison ; et frappant le côté de Pierre, il le réveilla, disant : Lève-toi promptement. Et les chaînes tombèrent de ses mains. |
Y de repente apareció un ángel del Señor°, y una luz resplandeció en la celda; y tocando a Pedro en el costado, lo despertó, diciendo: Levántate aprisa. Y las cadenas se le cayeron de sus manos. |
And lo, an angel of the Lord came there, and a light shone in the prison: and having smitten the side of Peter, he roused him up, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off his hands. |
Y he aquí que se presentó un ángel del Señor, y una luz resplandeció en la cárcel; y tocando a Pedro en el costado, le despertó, diciendo: Levántate pronto. Y las cadenas se le cayeron de las manos. |

And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. |
Et l'ange lui dit : Ceins-toib et chausse tes sandales. Et il fit ainsi. Et il lui dit : Jette ton vêtement sur toi et suis-moi. |
Y le dijo el ángel: Cíñete y cálzate las sandalias. Y así lo hizo. Entonces le dijo: Ponte el manto y sígueme. |
And the angel said to him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. And he says to him, Cast thine upper garment about thee and follow me. |

And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. |

And going forth he followed him and did not know that what was happening by means of the angel was real, but supposed he saw a vision. |

When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. |
Et ayant passé la première et la seconde garde, ils vinrent à la porte de fer qui conduit à la ville, et elle s'ouvrit à eux d'elle-même ; et, étant sortis, ils allèrent jusqu'au bout d'une rue ; et aussitôt l'ange se retira d'avec lui. |
Cuando pasaron la primera y la segunda guardia, llegaron a la puerta de hierro que conducía a la ciudad; la cual se les abrió por sí misma; una vez fuera, avanzaron por una calle, y al instante el ángel se apartó de él. |
And having passed through a first and second guard, they came to the iron gate which leads into the city, which opened to them of itself; and going forth they went down one street, and immediately the angel left him. |
Habiendo pasado la primera y la segunda guardia, llegaron a la puerta de hierro que daba a la ciudad, la cual se les abrió por sí misma; y salidos, pasaron una calle, y luego el ángel se apartó de él. |

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. |
Et Pierre, étant revenu à lui, dit : Je connais à présent certainement que le Seigneur a envoyé son ange, et m'a délivré de la main d'Hérode et de toute l'attente du peuple des Juifs. |
Entonces Pedro, volviendo en sí, dijo: Ahora sé realmente que el Señor ha enviado a su ángel y me ha liberado de la mano de Herodes y de toda la expectación del pueblo judío. |
And Peter, being come to himself, said, Now I know certainly that the Lord has sent forth his angel and has taken me out of the hand of Herod and all the expectation of the people of the Jews. |
Entonces Pedro, volviendo en sí, dijo: Ahora entiendo verdaderamente que el Señor ha enviado su ángel, y me ha librado de la mano de Herodes, y de todo lo que el pueblo de los judíos esperaba. |

And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. |
Et s'étant reconnu, il se rendit à la maison de Marie, mère de Jean surnommé Marc, où plusieurs étaient assemblés et priaient. |
Al darse cuenta de esto fue a casa de María, madre de Juan, llamado Marcos, donde muchos estaban reunidos orando. |
And having become clearly conscious in himself , he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was surnamed Mark, where were many gathered together and praying. |

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. |
Et comme il heurtait à la porte du vestibule, une servante nommée Rhode vint pour écouter ; |

And when he had knocked at the door of the entry, a maid came to listen, by name Rhoda; |

And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. |
et reconnaissant la voix de Pierre, de joie elle n'ouvrit point le vestibule ; mais étant rentrée en courant, elle rapporta que Pierre se tenait devant le vestibule. |
Y reconociendo la voz de Pedro, de alegría no abrió la puerta, sino que, corriendo adentro, les avisó que Pedro estaba ante la puerta. |
and having recognised the voice of Peter, through joy did not open the entry, but running in, reported that Peter was standing before the entry. |
la cual, cuando reconoció la voz de Pedro, de gozo no abrió la puerta, sino que corriendo adentro, dio la nueva de que Pedro estaba a la puerta. |

And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. |
Et ils lui dirent : Tu es folle. Mais elle affirmait qu'il en était ainsi. Et ils disaient : C'est son ange. |
Ellos le dijeron: ¡Estás loca! Pero ella insistía que así era. Entonces dijeron: ¡Es su ángel! |
And they said to her, Thou art mad. But she maintained that it was so. And they said, It is his angel. |

But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. |

But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. |
Et leur ayant fait signe de la main de se taire, il leur raconta comment le Seigneur l'avait fait sortir de la prison ; et il dit : Rapportez ces choses à Jacques et aux frères. Et sortant, il s'en alla en un autre lieu. |
Pero él les hizo seña con la mano para que callasen y les refirió cómo el Señor lo había sacado de la cárcel. Y dijo: Haced saber esto a Jacobo y a los hermanos. Y saliendo, se fue a otro lugar. |
And having made a sign to them with his hand to be silent, he related to them how the Lord had brought him out of prison; and he said, Report these things to James and to the brethren. And he went out and went to another place. |
Pero él, haciéndoles con la mano señal de que callasen, les contó cómo el Señor le había sacado de la cárcel. Y dijo: Haced saber esto a Jacobo y a los hermanos. Y salió, y se fue a otro lugar. |

Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. |
Mais le jour étant venu, il y eut un grand trouble parmi les soldats au sujet de ce que Pierre était donc devenu. |
Cuando se hizo de día, se produjo gran alboroto entre los soldados, preguntándose qué habría sido de Pedro. |
And when it was day there was no small disturbance among the soldiers, what then was become of Peter. |
Luego que fue de día, hubo no poco alboroto entre los soldados sobre qué había sido de Pedro. |

And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judæa to Cæsarea, and there abode. |
Et Hérode, l'ayant cherché et ne l'ayant pas trouvé, fit subir un interrogatoire aux gardes et donna ordre qu'ils fussent emmenés au supplice. Et descendant de la Judée à Césarée, il y séjourna. |
Herodes, después de buscarlo sin poderlo hallar, interrogó a los guardias y mandó que fuesen ejecutados. Y bajando de Judea a Cesarea, se quedó allí. |
And Herod having sought him and not found him, having examined the guards, commanded them to be executed. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea and stayed there . |
Mas Herodes, habiéndole buscado sin hallarle, después de interrogar a los guardas, ordenó llevarlos a la muerte. Después descendió de Judea a Cesarea y se quedó allí. |

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. |
Or il était très-irrité contre les Tyriens et les Sidoniens ; mais ils vinrent à lui d'un commun accord, et ayant gagné Blaste le chambellan du roi, ils demandèrent la paix, parce que leur pays était nourri par celui du roi. |
Y estaba muy irritado contra los tirios y los sidonios; pero a una se presentaron ante él y, habiéndose ganado a Blasto, camarero del rey, pidieron la paz; porque su región se abastecía de la del rey. |
And he was in bitter hostility with the Tyrians and Sidonians; but they came to him with one accord, and, having gained Blastus the king's chamberlain, sought peace, because their country was nourished by the king's. |
Y Herodes estaba enojado contra los de Tiro y de Sidón; pero ellos vinieron de acuerdo ante él, y sobornado Blasto, que era camarero mayor del rey, pedían paz, porque su territorio era abastecido por el del rey. |

And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. |
Et, à un jour marqué, Hérode, revêtu d'une robe royale et assis sur une estrade, les haranguait. |

And on a set day, clothed in royal apparel and sitting on the elevated seat of honour , Herod made a public oration to them. |

And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. |

And the people cried out, A god's voice and not a man's. |

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. |
Et à l'instant un ange du ∗Seigneur le frappa, parce qu'il n'avait pas donné la gloire à Dieu ; et, étant rongé par les vers, il expira. |
Al instante, el ángel del Señor° lo hirió, porque no dio la gloria a Dios; y, comido de gusanos, expiró. |
And immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he did not give the glory to God, and he expired, eaten of worms. |

Bernabé y Saulo regresaron de Jerusalén, tras cumplir su misión, llevando consigo a Juan, llamado Marcos. |
And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having fulfilled the service entrusted to them , taking also with them John, surnamed Mark. |
