| 47 | For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. | car le Seigneur nous a commandé ainsi : «Je t'ai établi pour être la lumière des nations, afin que tu sois en salut jusqu'au bout de la terre» [Ésaïe 49:6]. | Porque así nos ha mandado el Señor, diciendo: «Te he puesto para luz de los gentiles, a fin de que seas para salvación hasta el extremo de la tierra.» [Isaías 49:6] | for thus has the Lord enjoined us: I have set thee for a light of the nations, that thou shouldest be for salvation to the end of the earth. | Porque así nos ha mandado el Señor, diciendo: Te he puesto para luz de los gentiles, A fin de que seas para salvación hasta lo último de la tierra.z |
| 48 | And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. | Et lorsque ceux des nationsj entendirent cela, ils s'en réjouirent, et ils glorifièrent la parole du Seigneur ; et tous ceux qui étaient destinés à la vie éternelle crurent. | Los gentiles, al oír esto, se alegraban y glorificaban la palabra de Dios; y creyeron todos los que estaban destinados para vida eterna. | And those of the nations, hearing it, rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord, and believed, as many as were ordained to eternal life. | Los gentiles, oyendo esto, se regocijaban y glorificaban la palabra del Señor, y creyeron todos los que estaban ordenados para vida eterna. |
