And the apostles and brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. |

I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me: |
J'étais en prière dans la ville de Joppé, et je vis dans une extase une vision, [savoir] un vase descendant comme une grande toile dévalée du ciel par les quatre coins ; et elle vint jusqu'à moi ; |
Yo estaba orando en la ciudad de Jope, y vi en éxtasis una visión; un objeto que descendía, como un gran mantel, descolgado del cielo por las cuatro puntas, y vino hasta mí. |
I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in an ecstasy I saw a vision, a certain vessel descending like a great sheet, let down by four corners out of heaven, and it came even to me: |
Estaba yo en la ciudad de Jope orando, y vi en éxtasis una visión; algo semejante a un gran lienzo que descendía, que por las cuatro puntas era bajado del cielo y venía hasta mí. |

Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. |
et y ayant jeté les yeux, je considérais, et je vis les quadrupèdes de la terre, et les bêtes sauvages, et les reptiles, et les oiseaux du ciel ; |

on which having fixed mine eyes, I considered, and saw the quadrupeds of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the fowls of the heaven. |

And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat. |

But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. |
Et je dis : Non point, Seigneur ; car jamais chose impure ou immonde n'entra dans ma bouche. |
Y dije: De ninguna manera, Señor; porque jamás ha entrado en mi boca cosa inmunda o impura. |
And I said, In no wise, Lord, for common or unclean has never entered into my mouth. |

But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. |
Et une voix répondit pour la seconde fois du ciel : Ce que Dieu a purifié, toi, ne le tiens pas pour impur. |

And a voice answered the second time out of heaven, What God has cleansed, do not *thou* make common. |

And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven. |

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Cæsarea unto me. |
Et voici, aussitôt, trois hommes qui avaient été envoyés de Césarée vers moi, se trouvèrent devant la maison où j'étais. |
En aquel instante, tres hombres se presentaron en la casa en donde yo estaba, que me eran enviados desde Cesarea. |
and lo, immediately three men were at the house in which I was, sent to me from Caesarea. |

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house: |
Et l'Esprit me dit d'aller avec eux sans hésiter ; et les six frères que voici vinrent avec moi, et nous entrâmes dans la maison de cet homme. |

And the Spirit said to me to go with them, nothing doubting. And there went with me these six brethren also, and we entered into the house of the man, |

And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; |
Et il nous raconta comment il avait vu dans sa maison l'ange qui, se tenant là, lui avait dit : Envoie à Joppé, et fais venir Simon qui est surnommé Pierre, |

and he related to us how he had seen the angel in his house, standing and saying to him , Send men to Joppa and fetch Simon, who is surnamed Peter, |

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. |

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. |

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. |

And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John baptised with water, but *ye* shall be baptised with the Holy Spirit. |

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? |
Si donc Dieu leur a fait le même don qu'à nous qui avons cru au seigneur Jésus Christ, qui étais-je, moi, pour pouvoir l'interdire à Dieu ? |

If then God has given them the same gift as also to us when we had believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who indeed was *I* to be able to forbid God? |

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life. |
Et ayant ouï ces choses, ils se turent, et glorifièrent Dieu disant : Dieu a donc en effet donné aux nations la repentance pour la vie ! |
Al oír estas cosas, callaron y glorificaron a Dios, diciendo: Así que también a los gentiles ha dado Dios arrepentimiento para vida. |
And when they heard these things they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then indeed God has to the nations also granted repentance to life. |

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. |
Ceux donc qui avaient été dispersés par la tribulation qui arriva à l'occasion d'Étienne, passèrent jusqu'en Phénicie, et à Chypre, et à Antioche, n'annonçant la parole à personne, si ce n'est à des Juifs seulement. |
Aquellos que fueron dispersados, desde la persecución provocada por lo de Esteban, llegaron hasta Fenicia, Chipre y Antioquía predicando la palabra, pero solo a los judíos. |
They then who had been scattered abroad through the tribulation that took place on the occasion of Stephen, passed through the country to Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one but to Jews alone. |

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. |
Mais quelques-uns d'entre eux étaient des Cypriotes et des Cyrénéens, qui, étant venus à Antioche, parlaient aussi aux Grecs, annonçant le seigneur Jésus ; |

But there were certain of them, Cyprians and Cyrenians, who entering into Antioch spoke to the Greeks also, announcing the glad tidings of the Lord Jesus. |
Pero había entre ellos unos varones de Chipre y de Cirene, los cuales, cuando entraron en Antioquía, hablaron también a los griegos, anunciando el evangelio del Señor Jesús. |

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. |
et la main du Seigneur était avec eux ; et un grand nombre, ayant cru, se tournèrent vers le Seigneur. |

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. |

And the report concerning them reached the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go through as far as Antioch: |

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. |
lequel, y étant arrivé et ayant vu la grâce de Dieu, se réjouit ; et il les exhortait tous à demeurer [attachés] au Seigneur de tout leur cœurd, |
Cuando él llegó y vio la gracia de Dios, se alegró y exhortaba a todos a permanecer unidos al Señor con corazón firme; |
who, having arrived and seeing the grace of God, rejoiced, and exhorted all with purpose of heart to abide with the Lord; |
Este, cuando llegó, y vio la gracia de Dios, se regocijó, y exhortó a todos a que con propósito de corazón permaneciesen fieles al Señor. |

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. |
car il était homme de bien et plein de l'Esprit Saint et de foi ; et une grande foule fut ajoutée au Seigneur. |
porque era hombre bueno y lleno del Espíritu Santo y de fe. Y una gran multitud fue agregada al Señor. |
for he was a good man and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith; and a large crowd of people were added to the Lord. |

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: |

And he went away to Tarsus to seek out Saul. |

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. |
et l'ayant trouvé, il le mena à Antioche. Et il leur arriva que, pendant un an tout entier, ils se réunirent dans l'assemblée et enseignèrent une grande foule, — et que ce fut à Antioche premièrement que les disciples furent nommés chrétiens. |
y cuando lo halló, lo condujo a Antioquía. Y sucedió que durante todo un año se reunieron con la iglesia y enseñaron a una multitud considerable; y en Antioquía los discípulos fueron llamados cristianos por primera vez. |
And having found him , he brought him to Antioch. And so it was with them that for a whole year they were gathered together in the assembly and taught a large crowd: and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. |
Y se congregaron allí todo un año con la iglesia, y enseñaron a mucha gente; y a los discípulos se les llamó cristianos por primera vez en Antioquía. |

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. |

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar. |
Et l'un d'entre eux, nommé Agabus, se leva et déclara par l'Esprit, qu'une grande famine aurait lieu dans toute la terre habitée, laquelle aussi eut lieu sous Claude. |
Uno de ellos, llamado Agabo, se levantó y declaró, por el Espíritu, que iba a haber una gran hambre por todo el mundo habitado, y eso ocurrió en días de Claudio. |
and one from among them, by name Agabus, rose up and signified by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine over all the inhabited earth, which also came to pass under Claudius. |

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa: |
