And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. |

Mais malheur à vous, pharisiens ! car vous payez la dîme de la menthe et de la ruei et de toute sorte d'herbe, et vous négligez le jugement et l'amour de Dieu : il fallait faire ces choses-ci, et ne pas laisser celles-là. |

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. |
Malheur à vous ! car vous êtes comme les sépulcres qui ne paraissent pas ; et les hommes, marchant dessus, n'en savent rien. |
¡Ay de vosotros! Porque sois como sepulturas disimuladas, y los hombres que andan por encima no lo saben. |

Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. |

And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. |
Et il dit : À vous aussi, malheur, docteurs de la loi ! car vous chargez les hommes de fardeaux difficiles à porter, et vous-mêmes vous ne touchez pas ces fardeaux d'un seul de vos doigts. |

And he said, To you also woe, doctors of the law, for ye lay upon men burdens heavy to bear, and yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. |

Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. |

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: |

Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. |
Malheur à vous, les docteurs de la loi ! car vous avez enlevé la clef de la connaissance : vous n'êtes pas entrés vous-mêmes, et vous avez empêché ceux qui entraient. |
¡Ay de vosotros doctores de la ley! Porque habéis quitado la llave del conocimiento; vosotros no entrasteis, y a los que estaban entrando se lo impedisteis. |
Woe unto you, the doctors of the law, for ye have taken away the key of knowledge; yourselves have not entered in, and those who were entering in ye have hindered. |
¡Ay de vosotros, intérpretes de la ley! porque habéis quitado la llave de la ciencia; vosotros mismos no entrasteis, y a los que entraban se lo impedisteis. |

And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: |
