Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them. |

And it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah, and took them. |
Aconteció en el año catorce del rey Ezequías, que Senaquerib rey de Asiria subió contra todas las ciudades fortificadas de Judá, y las tomó. |

And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field. |
Et le roi d'Assyrie envoya le Rab-Shakéb, de Lakis à Jérusalem, vers le roi Ézéchias, avec de grandes forces ; et il se tint près de l'aqueduc de l'étang supérieur, sur la route du champ du foulon. |

And the king of Assyria sent Rab-shakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem, to king Hezekiah, with a strong force. And he stood by the aqueduct of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller's field. |
Y el rey de Asiria envió al Rabsaces con un gran ejército desde Laquis a Jerusalén contra el rey Ezequías; y acampó junto al acueducto del estanque de arriba, en el camino de la heredad del Lavador. |

Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah’s son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph’s son, the recorder. |
Et Éliakim, fils de Hilkija, qui était [préposé] sur la maison [du roi], et Shebna, le scribe, et Joakh, fils d'Asaph, rédacteur des chroniques, sortirent vers lui. |

Then came forth to him Eliakim the son of Hilkijah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the chronicler. |
Y salió a él Eliaquim hijo de Hilcías, mayordomo, y Sebna, escriba, y Joa hijo de Asaf, canciller, |

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest? |
Et le Rab-Shaké leur dit : Dites à Ézéchias : Ainsi dit le grand roi, le roi d'Assyrie : Quelle est cette confiance que tu as ? |

And Rab-shakeh said to them, Say now to Hezekiah, Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: What confidence is this in which thou trustest? |
a los cuales dijo el Rabsaces: Decid ahora a Ezequías: El gran rey, el rey de Asiria, dice así: ¿Qué confianza es esta en que te apoyas? |

I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? |
Tu disc (ce ne sont que paroles des lèvres) : Le conseil et la force [sont là] pour la guerre. Maintenant, en qui te confies-tu que tu te révoltes contre moi ? |

Thou sayest, but it is a word of the lips, There is counsel and strength for war. Now on whom dost thou rely, that thou hast revolted against me? |
Yo digo que el consejo y poderío para la guerra, de que tú hablas, no son más que palabras vacías. Ahora bien, ¿en quién confías para que te rebeles contra mí? |

Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. |
Voici, tu te confies en ce bâton de roseau cassé, en l'Égypte, lequel, si quelqu'un s'appuie dessus, lui entre dans la main et la perce. Tel est le Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, pour tous ceux qui se confient en lui. |

Behold, thou reliest upon the staff of that broken reed, upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it goes into his hand, and pierces it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that rely upon him. |
He aquí que confías en este báculo de caña frágil, en Egipto, en el cual si alguien se apoyare, se le entrará por la mano, y la atravesará. Tal es Faraón rey de Egipto para con todos los que en él confían. |

But if thou say to me, We trust in the Lord our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? |
Que si tu me dis : Nous nous confions en l'Éternel, notre Dieu… n'est-ce pas lui dont Ézéchias a ôté les hauts lieux et les autels, en disant à Juda et à Jérusalem : Vous vous prosternerez devant cet autel-ci ? |

And if thou say to me, We rely upon Jehovah our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? |
Y si me decís: En Jehová nuestro Dios confiamos; ¿no es este aquel cuyos lugares altos y cuyos altares hizo quitar Ezequías, y dijo a Judá y a Jerusalén: Delante de este altar adoraréis? |

Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. |
Et maintenant, fais un accord, je te prie, avec le roi d'Assyrie, mon seigneur, et je te donnerai deux mille chevaux si tu peux donner des cavaliers pour les monter. |

And now engage, I pray thee, with my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. |
Ahora, pues, yo te ruego que des rehenes al rey de Asiria mi señor, y yo te daré dos mil caballos, si tú puedes dar jinetes que cabalguen sobre ellos. |

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? |
Et comment ferais-tu tourner visage à un seul capitained d'entre les moindres serviteurs de mon seigneur ? Et tu mets ta confiance en l'Égypte, pour des chars et des cavaliers…. |

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants? And thou reliest upon Egypt for chariots and for horsemen! |
¿Cómo, pues, podrás resistir a un capitán, al menor de los siervos de mi señor, aunque estés confiado en Egipto con sus carros y su gente de a caballo? |

And am I now come up without the Lord against this land to destroy it? the Lord said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it. |
Et maintenant, suis-je monté sans l'Éternel contre ce pays pour le détruire ? L'Éternel m'a dit : Monte contre ce pays, et détruis-le. |

And now am I come up without Jehovah against this land to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it. |
¿Acaso vine yo ahora a esta tierra para destruirla sin Jehová? Jehová me dijo: Sube a esta tierra y destrúyela. |

Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. |
Et Éliakim et Shebna et Joakh dirent au Rab-Shaké : Parle, nous te prions, à tes serviteurs en syriaquee, car nous le comprenons, et ne nous parle pas en [langue] judaïque, aux oreilles du peuple qui est sur la muraille. |

And Eliakim and Shebna and Joah said to Rab-shakeh, Speak, we pray thee, to thy servants in Syriac, for we understand it; and speak not to us in the Jewish language in the ears of the people that are upon the wall. |
Entonces dijeron Eliaquim, Sebna y Joa al Rabsaces: Te rogamos que hables a tus siervos en arameo, porque nosotros lo entendemos; y no hables con nosotros en lengua de Judá, porque lo oye el pueblo que está sobre el muro. |

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? |
Et le Rab-Shaké dit : Est-ce vers ton seigneur et vers toi que mon seigneur m'a envoyé pour dire ces paroles ? N'est-ce pas vers les hommes qui se tiennent sur la muraille, pour manger leurs excréments et pour boire leur urine avec vous ? |

And Rab-shakeh said, Is it to thy master and to thee that my master sent me to speak these words? Is it not to the men that sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own urine with you? |
Y dijo el Rabsaces: ¿Acaso me envió mi señor a que dijese estas palabras a ti y a tu señor, y no a los hombres que están sobre el muro, expuestos a comer su estiércol y beber su orina con vosotros? |

Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. |
Et le Rab-Shaké se tint là et cria à haute voix en [langue] judaïque, et dit : Écoutez les paroles du grand roi, le roi d'Assyrie. |

And Rab-shakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jewish language , and said, Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria! |
Entonces el Rabsaces se puso en pie y gritó a gran voz en lengua de Judá, diciendo: Oíd las palabras del gran rey, el rey de Asiria. |

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. |
Ainsi dit le roi : Qu'Ézéchias ne vous trompe point ; car il ne pourra pas vous délivrer. |

Thus says the king: Let not Hezekiah deceive you; for he will not be able to deliver you. |
El rey dice así: No os engañe Ezequías, porque no os podrá librar. |

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. |
Et qu'Ézéchias ne vous fasse pas mettre votre confiance en l'Éternel, disant : L'Éternel nous délivrera certainement ; cette ville ne sera point livrée en la main du roi d'Assyrie. |

Neither let Hezekiah make you rely upon Jehovah, saying, Jehovah will certainly deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. |
Ni os haga Ezequías confiar en Jehová, diciendo: Ciertamente Jehová nos librará; no será entregada esta ciudad en manos del rey de Asiria. |

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; |
N'écoutez pas Ézéchias ; car ainsi dit le roi d'Assyrie : Faites la paixf avec moi, et sortez vers moi ; et vous mangerez chacun de sa vigne et chacun de son figuier, et vous boirez chacun des eaux de son puits, |

Hearken not to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: Make peace with me and come out to me; and eat every one of his vine, and every one of his fig-tree, and drink every one the waters of his own cistern; |
No escuchéis a Ezequías, porque así dice el rey de Asiria: Haced conmigo paz, y salid a mí; y coma cada uno de su viña, y cada uno de su higuera, y beba cada cual las aguas de su pozo, |

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards. |
jusqu'à ce que je vienne et que je vous emmèneg dans un pays comme votre pays, un pays de blé et de moût, un pays de pain et de vignes. |

Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The Lord will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? |
Qu'Ézéchias ne vous séduise pas, disant : L'Éternel nous délivrera. Les dieux des nations ont-ils délivré chacun son pays de la main du roi d'Assyrie ? |

Let not Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? |
Mirad que no os engañe Ezequías diciendo: Jehová nos librará. ¿Acaso libraron los dioses de las naciones cada uno su tierra de la mano del rey de Asiria? |

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? |
Où sont les dieux de Hamath et d'Arpad ? Où sont les dieux de Sepharvaïm ? Et ont-ils délivré Samarie de ma main ? |

Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? |
Quels sont d'entre tous les dieux de ces pays ceux qui ont délivré leur pays de ma main, pour que l'Éternel délivre Jérusalem de ma main ? |

¿Qué dios hay entre los dioses de estas tierras que haya librado su tierra de mi mano, para que Jehová libre de mi mano a Jerusalén? |

But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king’s commandment was, saying, Answer him not. |
Et ils se turent, et ne lui répondirent pas un mot ; car c'était là le commandement du roi, disant : Vous ne lui répondrez pas. |

And they were silent, and answered him not a word; for the king's command was, saying, Answer him not. |
Pero ellos callaron, y no le respondieron palabra; porque el rey así lo había mandado, diciendo: No le respondáis. |

Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh. |
Et Éliakim, fils de Hilkija, qui était [préposé] sur la maison, et Shebna, le scribe, et Joakh, fils d'Asaph, rédacteur des chroniques, vinrent vers Ézéchias, leurs vêtements déchirés, et ils lui rapportèrent les paroles du Rab-Shaké. |

And Eliakim the son of Hilkijah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the chronicler, came to Hezekiah, with their garments rent, and told him the words of Rab-shakeh. |
Entonces Eliaquim hijo de Hilcías, mayordomo, y Sebna escriba, y Joa hijo de Asaf, canciller, vinieron a Ezequías, rasgados sus vestidos, y le contaron las palabras del Rabsaces. |
