And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
☆ Et après, le peuple partit de Hatséroth, et il campa au désert de Paran. |

Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them. |
Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse, disant : |

Send thou men, that they may search out the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel. Ye shall send a man of every tribe of his fathers, each a prince among them. |
Envía tú hombres que reconozcan la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo doy a los hijos de Israel; de cada tribu de sus padres enviaréis un varón, cada uno príncipe entre ellos. |

And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel. |
Envoie des hommes, et ils reconnaîtront le pays de Canaan, que je donne aux fils d'Israël ; vous enverrez un homme pour chaque tribu de ses pères, tous des princes parmi eux. |

And Moses sent them from the wilderness of Paran: according to the commandment of Jehovah, all of them heads of the children of Israel. |
Y Moisés los envió desde el desierto de Parán, conforme a la palabra de Jehová; y todos aquellos varones eran príncipes de los hijos de Israel. |

And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur. |
Et Moïse les envoya du désert de Paran, selon le commandement de l'Éternel. Tous ces hommes étaient des chefs des fils d'Israël. |

And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: |
— Ce sont là les noms des hommes que Moïse envoya pour reconnaître le pays. Et Moïse appela Oséea, fils de Nun, Josuéb. |

And Moses sent them to search out the land of Canaan, and said to them, Go up this way by the south and go up into the hill-country, |
Los envió, pues, Moisés a reconocer la tierra de Canaán, diciéndoles: Subid de aquí al Neguev, y subid al monte, |

And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many; |
Et Moïse les envoya pour reconnaître le pays de Canaan, et leur dit : Montez de ce côté, par le midi ; et vous monterez [dans] la montagne ; |

and ye shall see the land, what it is; and the people that dwell in it, whether they are strong or weak, few or many; |
y observad la tierra cómo es, y el pueblo que la habita, si es fuerte o débil, si poco o numeroso; |

And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds; |
et vous verrez le pays, ce qu'il est, et le peuple qui l'habite ; s'il est fort ou faible, s'il est en petit nombre ou en grand nombre ; |

And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes. |
et quel est le pays où il habite, s'il est bon ou mauvais ; et quelles sont les villes dans lesquelles il habite, si c'est dans des camps ou dans des villes murées ; |

and what the land is, whether it is fat or lean, whether there are trees in it, or not. And take courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the first grapes. |
y cómo es el terreno, si es fértil o estéril, si en él hay árboles o no; y esforzaos, y tomad del fruto del país. Y era el tiempo de las primeras uvas. |

So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath. |
et quel est le pays, s'il est gras ou maigre, s'il y a des arbres ou s'il n'y en a pas. Ayez bon courage, et prenez du fruit du pays. Or c'était le temps des premiers raisins. |

And they went up, and searched out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, where one comes towards Hamath. |
Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron la tierra desde el desierto de Zin hasta Rehob, entrando en Hamat. |

And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) |
Et ils montèrent et reconnurent le pays, depuis le désert de Tsin jusqu'à Rehob, quand on vient àc Hamath. |

And they went up by the south, and came to Hebron; and Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were there. Now Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt. |
Y subieron al Neguev y vinieron hasta Hebrón; y allí estaban Ahimán, Sesai y Talmai, hijos de Anac. Hebrón fue edificada siete años antes de Zoán en Egipto. |

And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. |
Et ils montèrent par le midi, et vinrent jusqu'à Hébron ; et là étaient Akhiman, Shéshaï et Thalmaï, enfants d'Anak. Et Hébron avait été bâtie sept ans avant Tsoan d'Égypte. |

And they came as far as the valley of Eshcol, and cut down thence a branch with one bunch of grapes, and they bore it between two upon a pole; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs. |
Y llegaron hasta el arroyo de Escol, y de allí cortaron un sarmiento con un racimo de uvas, el cual trajeron dos en un palo, y de las granadas y de los higos. |

The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence. |
Et ils vinrent jusqu'au torrentd d'Eshcol, et coupèrent de là un sarment avec une grappe de raisin ; et ils le portèrent à deux au moyen d'une perche, et des grenades et des figues. |

That place was called the valley of Eshcol, because of the grapes which the children of Israel had cut down there. |
Y se llamó aquel lugar el Valle de Escol,a por el racimo que cortaron de allí los hijos de Israel. |

And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. |
On appela ce lieu-là torrent d'Eshcole, à cause de la grappe que les fils d'Israël y coupèrent. |

Y volvieron de reconocer la tierra al fin de cuarenta días. |

And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. |
Et ils revinrent de la reconnaissance du pays au bout de quarante jours. |

Y anduvieron y vinieron a Moisés y a Aarón, y a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, en el desierto de Parán, en Cades, y dieron la información a ellos y a toda la congregación, y les mostraron el fruto de la tierra. |

And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. |
Et ils allèrent, et arrivèrent auprès de Moïse et d'Aaron, et de toute l'assemblée des fils d'Israël, au désert de Paran, à Kadès ; et ils leur rendirent compte, ainsi qu'à toute l'assemblée, et leur montrèrent le fruit du pays. |

And they told him, and said, We came to the land to which thou didst send us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. |
Y les contaron, diciendo: Nosotros llegamos a la tierra a la cual nos enviaste, la que ciertamente fluye leche y miel; y este es el fruto de ella. |

Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. |
Et ils racontèrent à Moïsef, et dirent : Nous sommes allés dans le pays où tu nous as envoyés ; et vraiment il est ruisselant de lait et de miel, et en voici le fruit. |

Only, the people are strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, very great; moreover we saw the children of Anak there. |
Mas el pueblo que habita aquella tierra es fuerte, y las ciudades muy grandes y fortificadas; y también vimos allí a los hijos de Anac. |

The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. |
Seulement, le peuple qui habite dans le pays est fort, et les villes sont fortifiées, très-grandes ; et nous y avons vu aussi les enfants d'Anak. |

Amalek dwells in the land of the south; and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill-country; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the side of the Jordan. |

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. |
Amalek habite le pays du midi ; et le Héthien, le Jébusien et l'Amoréen habitent la montagne ; et le Cananéen habite le long de la mer et sur le rivage du Jourdain. |

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up boldly and possess it, for we are well able to do it. |
Entonces Caleb hizo callar al pueblo delante de Moisés, y dijo: Subamos luego, y tomemos posesión de ella; porque más podremos nosotros que ellos. |

But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. |
Et Caleb fit taire le peuple devant Moïse, et dit : Montons hardiment et prenons possession du [pays], car nous sommes bien capables de le faire. |

But the men that went up with him said, We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we. |
Mas los varones que subieron con él, dijeron: No podremos subir contra aquel pueblo, porque es más fuerte que nosotros. |

And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. |
Mais les hommes qui étaient montés avec lui, dirent : Nous ne sommes pas capables de monter contre ce peuple, car il est plus fort que nous. |

And they brought to the children of Israel an evil report of the land which they had searched out, saying, The land, which we have passed through to search it out, is a land that eateth up its inhabitants; and all the people that we have seen in it are men of great stature; |
Y hablaron mal entre los hijos de Israel, de la tierra que habían reconocido, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra que traga a sus moradores; y todo el pueblo que vimos en medio de ella son hombres de grande estatura. |

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. |
Et ils décrièrent devant les fils d'Israël le pays qu'ils avaient reconnu, disant : Le pays par lequel nous avons passé pour le reconnaître est un pays qui dévore ses habitants, et tout le peuple que nous y avons vu est deg haute stature. |

and there have we seen giants--the sons of Anak are of the giants--and we were in our sight as grasshoppers, and so we were also in their sight. |
También vimos allí gigantes,b hijos de Anac, raza de los gigantes, y éramos nosotros, a nuestro parecer, como langostas; y así les parecíamos a ellos. |
