Thus saith the Lord; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. |
Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Voici des eaux qui montent du nord, et elles sont comme un torrent qui déborde ; et elles déborderont sur le pays et tout ce qu'il contient, sur la ville et ceux qui y habitent. Et les hommes crieront, et tous les habitants du pays hurleront, |

Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que suben aguas del norte, y se harán torrente; inundarán la tierra y su plenitud, la ciudad y los moradores de ella; y los hombres clamarán, y lamentará todo morador de la tierra. |

At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands; |
au bruit retentissant des sabots de ses puissants [chevaux], au fracas de ses chars, au bruit tumultueux de ses roues. Les pères ne se retourneront pas vers leurs fils, à cause de la faiblesse de leurs mains, |

Por el sonido de los cascos de sus caballos, por el alboroto de sus carros, por el estruendo de sus ruedas, los padres no cuidaron a los hijos por la debilidad de sus manos; |

Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the Lord will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor. |
à cause du jour qui vient pour dévaster tous les Philistins, pour retrancher à Tyr et à Sidon quiconque resterait pour les secourir ; car l'Éternel dévaste les Philistins, le reste de l'îlea de Caphtor. |

because of the day that cometh to lay waste all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper that remaineth; for Jehovah will lay waste the Philistines, the remnant of the island of Caphtor. |
a causa del día que viene para destrucción de todos los filisteos, para destruir a Tiro y a Sidón todo aliado que les queda todavía; porque Jehová destruirá a los filisteos, al resto de la costa de Caftor. |

Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? |
Gaza est devenue chauve, Askalon est détruite [avec] le reste de leur plaine… Jusques à quand te feras-tu des incisions ? |

Gaza fue rapada, Ascalón ha perecido, y el resto de su valle; ¿hasta cuándo te sajarás? |

O thou sword of the Lord, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. |
Ah ! épée de l'Éternel ! jusques à quand ne te tiendras-tu pas tranquille ? Rentre dans ton fourreau, donne-toi du repos, et tiens-toi tranquille. |

Alas! sword of Jehovah, how long wilt thou not be quiet? Withdraw into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. |
Oh espada de Jehová, ¿hasta cuándo reposarás? Vuelve a tu vaina, reposa y sosiégate. |

How can it be quiet, seeing the Lord hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it. |
Comment te tiendrais-tu tranquille ? Car l'Éternel lui a donné un commandement. Contre Askalon, et contre le rivage de la mer, — là, il l'a assignée. |

How shouldest thou be quiet? --For Jehovah hath given it a charge: against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore, there hath he appointed it. |
¿Cómo reposarás? pues Jehová te ha enviado contra Ascalón, y contra la costa del mar, allí te puso. |
