Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. |
Ainsi dit l'Éternel : N'apprenez pas le chemin des nations, et ne soyez pas effrayés des signes des cieux, car les nations s'en effraient. |

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. |
Car les statuts des peuples sont vanité ; car [c'est] un bois coupé de la forêt, façonné au ciseau par la main d'un artisan ; |

They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. |
on l'embellit avec de l'argent et de l'or ; on le fait tenir avec des clous et des marteaux, afin qu'il ne bouge pas. |

They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. |
Ils sont comme une colonnea faite au tour : ils ne parlent point ; on les porte, car ils ne marchent pas. Ne les craignez pas, car ils ne peuvent pas faire du mal, et aussi il n'est pas en leur pouvoir de faire du bien. |

They are as a palm-column of turned work, and they speak not; they are carried, for they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. |
Derechos están como palmera, y no hablan; son llevados, porque no pueden andar. No tengáis temor de ellos, porque ni pueden hacer mal, ni para hacer bien tienen poder. |

Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. |
Nul n'est semblable à toi, ô Éternel ! Tu es grand, et ton nom est grand en force. |

Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. |
Qui ne te craindrait, Roi des nations ? Car cela t'est dû ; car, parmi tous les sages des nations et dans tous leurs royaumes, nul n'est comme toi ; |

Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? For to thee doth it appertain; for among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. |
¿Quién no te temerá, oh Rey de las naciones?a Porque a ti es debido el temor; porque entre todos los sabios de las naciones y en todos sus reinos, no hay semejante a ti. |

But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. |
mais jusqu'au dernier ils sont stupides et fous : l'enseignement des vanités est du boisb. |

But they are one and all senseless and foolish; the teaching of vanities is a stock. |
Todos se infatuarán y entontecerán. Enseñanza de vanidades es el leño. |

Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men. |
L'argent en plaques est apporté de Tarsis, et l'or d'Uphaz, ouvrage de l'artisan et des mains du fondeur ; le bleu et la pourpre sont leur vêtement : ils sont tous l'ouvrage de gens de l'art. |

But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. |
Mais l'Éternel Dieu est vérité, lui est le Dieu vivant et le Roi d'éternité ; devant son courroux la terre est ébranlée, et les nations ne peuvent [soutenir] son indignation. |

But Jehovah Elohim is truth; he is the living God, and the King of eternity. At his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations cannot abide his indignation. |
Mas Jehová es el Dios verdadero; él es Dios vivo y Rey eterno; a su ira tiembla la tierra, y las naciones no pueden sufrir su indignación. |

Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. |
Vous leur direz ainsi : Les dieux qui n'ont pas fait les cieux et la terre, ceux-là périront de la terre et de dessous les cieux. c |

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. |
C'est lui qui a fait la terre par sa puissance, qui a établi le monde par sa sagesse, et qui, par son intelligence, a étendu les cieux. |

When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. |
Quand il fait retentir sa voix, il y a un tumulte d'eaux dans les cieux, et il fait monter les vapeurs du bout de la terre ; il fait les éclairs pour la pluie, et de ses trésors il tire le vent. |

Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. |
Tout homme est devenu stupide, en sorte qu'il n'a pas de connaissance ; tout fondeur a honte de l'image taillée, car son image de fonte est un mensonge ; il n'y a point de respiration en elles. |

Every man is become brutish, bereft of knowledge; every founder is put to shame by the graven image, for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. |
Todo hombre se embrutece, y le falta ciencia; se avergüenza de su ídolo todo fundidor, porque mentirosa es su obra de fundición, y no hay espíritu en ella. |

They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. |
Elles sont vanité, un ouvrage de déceptiond : elles périront au temps de leur visitation. |

The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The Lord of hosts is his name. |
La portion de Jacob n'est pas comme elles, car c'est Celui qui a tout formé, et Israël est la vergee de son héritage : son nom est l'Éternel des armées, |

No es así la porción de Jacob; porque él es el Hacedor de todo, e Israel es la vara de su heredad; Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre. |

Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress. |
Ramasse, [et porte hors] du pays ce qui t'appartient, toi qui habites la forteressef. |

Gather up thy baggage out of the land, O inhabitress of the fortress. |
Recoge de las tierras tus mercaderías, la que moras en lugar fortificado. |

For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so. |
Car ainsi dit l'Éternel : Voici, à cette fois je vais lancer, comme avec une fronde, les habitants du pays ; et je ferai venir sur eux la détresse, afin qu'on les trouve. |

For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will this time sling out the inhabitants of the land, and will distress them, that they may be found. |
Porque así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que esta vez arrojaré con honda los moradores de la tierra, y los afligiré, para que lo sientan. |

Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it. |
Malheur à moi, à cause de ma ruineg ! ma plaie est douloureuseh. Et moi j'ai dit : C'est ici mon mal, et je le supporterai. |

Woe is me, for my wound! My stroke is hard to heal, and I had said, Yea, this is my grief, and I will bear it. |
¡Ay de mí, por mi quebrantamiento! mi llaga es muy dolorosa. Pero dije: Ciertamente enfermedad mía es esta, y debo sufrirla. |

My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains. |
Ma tente est dévastée et toutes mes cordes sont rompues ; mes fils sont sortis d'auprès de moi, et ils ne sont plus ; personne ne tend plus ma tente et n'arrange mes courtines. |

For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the Lord: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered. |
Car les pasteurs sont stupides, et n'ont pas cherché l'Éternel. C'est pourquoi ils n'ont pas agi sagementi, et tout leur troupeau est dispersé. |

For the shepherds are become brutish, and have not sought Jehovah; therefore have they not acted wisely, and all their flock is scattered. |
Porque los pastores se infatuaron, y no buscaron a Jehová; por tanto, no prosperaron, y todo su ganado se esparció. |

Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. |
Le bruit d'une rumeur ! Voici, elle vient, et une grande commotion du pays du nord, pour réduire les villes de Juda en désolation, en repaire de chacals. |

The voice of a rumour! Behold, it cometh, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a dwelling-place of jackals. |
He aquí que voz de rumor viene, y alboroto grande de la tierra del norte, para convertir en soledad todas las ciudades de Judá, en morada de chacales. |

O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. |
Je sais, Éternel, que la voie de l'homme n'est pas à lui, qu'il n'est pas au pouvoir de l'homme qui marche de diriger ses pas. |

O Lord, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing. |
Éternel ! corrige-moi, mais avec mesurej, non dans ta colère, de peur que tu ne me rendes chétif. |

Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. |
Verse ta fureur sur les nations qui ne t'ont pas connu et sur les familles qui n'invoquent pas ton nom ; car elles ont dévoré Jacob : ils l'ont dévoré, et ils l'ont consumé, et ils ont désolé son habitation. |
