Thus saith the Lord unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water. |
☆ Ainsi m'a dit l'Éternel : Va, et achète-toi une ceinture de lin, et mets-la sur tes reins, et ne la trempe pas dans l'eau. |

Así me dijo Jehová: Ve y cómprate un cinto de lino, y cíñelo sobre tus lomos, y no lo metas en agua. |

So I got a girdle according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loins. |
Et j'achetai une ceinture, selon la parole de l'Éternel, et je la mis sur mes reins. |

Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. |
Prends la ceinture que tu as achetée, qui est sur tes reins, et lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et là, cache-la dans le creux d'un rocher. |

So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me. |

And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there. |
Et il arriva, à la fin de plusieurs jours, que l'Éternel me dit : Lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et prends de là la ceinture que je t'avais commandé d'y cacher. |

And it came to pass at the end of many days, that Jehovah said unto me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence which I commanded thee to hide there. |
Y sucedió que después de muchos días me dijo Jehová: Levántate y vete al Éufrates, y toma de allí el cinto que te mandé esconder allá. |

Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing. |
Et je m'en allai vers l'Euphrate, et je creusai, et je pris la ceinture du lieu où je l'avais cachée ; et voici, la ceinture était gâtée, elle n'était plus bonne à rien. |

And I went to the Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and behold, the girdle was spoiled, it was good for nothing. |
Entonces fui al Éufrates, y cavé, y tomé el cinto del lugar donde lo había escondido; y he aquí que el cinto se había podrido; para ninguna cosa era bueno. |

Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |

Thus saith the Lord, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. |
Ainsi dit l'Éternel : C'est ainsi que je détruirai l'orgueil de Juda, et le grand orgueil de Jérusalem. |

Thus saith Jehovah: After this manner will I spoil the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. |
Así ha dicho Jehová: Así haré podrir la soberbia de Judá, y la mucha soberbia de Jerusalén. |

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing. |
Ce peuple mauvais, qui refuse d'écouter mes paroles, qui marche dans l'obstination de son cœur, et qui marche après d'autres dieux pour les servir et pour se prosterner devant eux, sera comme cette ceinture qui n'est bonne à rien. |

This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and go after other gods, to serve them and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle which is good for nothing. |
Este pueblo malo, que no quiere oír mis palabras, que anda en las imaginaciones de su corazón, y que va en pos de dioses ajenos para servirles, y para postrarse ante ellos, vendrá a ser como este cinto, que para ninguna cosa es bueno. |

For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the Lord; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear. |
Car, comme une ceinture s'attache aux reins d'un homme, ainsi je me suis attaché toute la maison d'Israël et toute la maison de Juda, dit l'Éternel, pour être mon peuple, et un renom, et une louange, et un ornementa ; mais ils n'ont pas écouté. |

Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine? |
Et tu leur diras cette parole : Ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Toute crucheb sera remplie de vin. Et ils te diront : Ne savons-nous pas bien que toute cruche sera remplie de vin ? |

And thou shalt speak unto them this word: Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Every skin shall be filled with wine. And they will say unto thee, Do we not very well know that every skin shall be filled with wine? |
Les dirás, pues, esta palabra: Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Toda tinaja se llenará de vino. Y ellos te dirán: ¿No sabemos que toda tinaja se llenará de vino? |

Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness. |
Et tu leur diras : Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Voici, je remplis d'ivresse tous les habitants de ce pays, et les rois [issus] de David, qui sont assis sur son trône, et les sacrificateurs, et les prophètes, et tous les habitants de Jérusalem ; |

And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, and the kings that sit for David upon his throne, and the priests and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness. |
Entonces les dirás: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo lleno de embriaguez a todos los moradores de esta tierra, y a los reyes de la estirpe de David que se sientan sobre su trono, a los sacerdotes y profetas, y a todos los moradores de Jerusalén; |

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the Lord: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. |
et je les briserai l'un contre l'autre, et les pères et les fils ensemble, dit l'Éternel ; je n'aurai pas de compassion, et je n'épargnerai pas, et je n'aurai pas de pitié pour ne pas les détruire. |

y los quebrantaré el uno contra el otro, los padres con los hijos igualmente, dice Jehová; no perdonaré, ni tendré piedad ni misericordia, para no destruirlos. |

Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the Lord hath spoken. |
Écoutez, et prêtez l'oreille ! Ne vous élevez point, car l'Éternel a parlé ! |

Escuchad y oíd; no os envanezcáis, pues Jehová ha hablado. |

Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness. |
Donnez gloire à l'Éternel, votre Dieu, avant qu'il fasse venir des ténèbres, et avant que vos pieds se heurtent contre les montagnes du crépuscule : vous attendrez la lumière, et il en fera une ombre de mort et la réduira en obscurité profonde. |

But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord’s flock is carried away captive. |
Et si vous n'écoutez pas ceci, mon âme pleurera en secret à cause de votre orgueil, et mon œil pleurera amèrement et se fondra en larmes, car le troupeau de l'Éternel est allé en captivité. |

And if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because Jehovah's flock is gone into captivity. |
Mas si no oyereis esto, en secreto llorará mi alma a causa de vuestra soberbia; y llorando amargamente se desharán mis ojos en lágrimas, porque el rebaño de Jehová fue hecho cautivo. |

Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory. |
Parle au roi et à la reine : Humiliez-vous, asseyez-vous [par terre] ; car la couronne de votre magnificence est descendue de dessus vos têtes. |

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock? |
Levez vos yeux, et voyez ceux qui viennent du nord. Où est le troupeau qui t'a été donné, le troupeau de ta gloire ? |

What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail? |
Que diras-tu quand il te punira ? Toi-même tu les as enseignés à être princes et chefs sur toic. Les douleurs ne te saisiront-elles pas comme une femme qui enfante ? |

What wilt thou say when he shall visit thee, since thou thyself hast trained them to be princes in chief over thee? Shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail? |
¿Qué dirás cuando él ponga como cabeza sobre ti a aquellos a quienes tú enseñaste a ser tus amigos? ¿No te darán dolores como de mujer que está de parto? |

And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare. |
Et si tu dis en ton cœur : Pourquoi me sont arrivées ces choses ? C'est par la multitude de tes iniquités que les pans de ta robe ont été découverts, [et] que tes talons ont été violemment déchaussés. |

And if thou say in thy heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts uncovered, and thy heels have suffered violence. |
Si dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Por qué me ha sobrevenido esto? Por la enormidad de tu maldad fueron descubiertas tus faldas, fueron desnudados tus calcañares. |

Therefore will I discover thy skirts upon thy face, that thy shame may appear. |
Et moi aussi, je relèverai tes pans sur ton visage, et ta honte se verra. |

I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be? |
Tes adultères, tes hennissements, l'infamie de ta prostitution sur les collines, dans les champs, — tes abominations, je [les] ai vues. Malheur à toi, Jérusalem ! Ne te purifieras-tu pas… après combien de temps encore ? |
