And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. |
☆ Et quand le peuple vit que Moïse tardait à descendre de la montagne, le peuple s'assembla auprès d'Aaron, et ils lui dirent : Lève-toi, fais-nous un dieua qui aille devant nous ; car ce Moïse, cet homme qui nous a fait monter du pays d'Égypte, nous ne savons ce qui lui est arrivé. |

And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. |

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. |
et il les prit de leurs mains, et il forma l'orc avec un ciseau, et il en fit un veau de fonte. Et ils dirent : C'est ici ton dieu, ô Israël ! qui t'a fait monter du pays d'Égypte. |

And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the Lord. |

And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play. |
Demain, une fête à l'Éternel ! Et le lendemain, ils se levèrent de bonne heure, et offrirent des holocaustes, et amenèrent des sacrifices de prospérités. Et le peuple s'assit pour manger et pour boire, et ils se levèrent pour se divertir. |

And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered up burnt-offerings, and brought peace-offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to sport. |

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: |
Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : Va, descends ; car ton peuple, que tu as fait monter du pays d'Égypte, s'est corrompu ; |

Then Jehovah said to Moses, Away, go down! for thy people, which thou hast brought out of the land of Egypt, is acting corruptly. |
Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: Anda, desciende, porque tu pueblo que sacaste de la tierra de Egipto se ha corrompido. |

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. |
ils se sont vite détournés dud chemin que je leur avais commandé ; ils se sont fait un veau de fonte, et se sont prosternés devant lui, et lui ont sacrifié, et ont dit : C'est ici ton dieue, ô Israël ! qui t'a fait monter du pays d'Égypte. |

And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: |
Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : J'ai vu ce peuple, et voici, c'est un peuple de cou roide. |

And Jehovah said to Moses, I see this people, and behold, it is a stiff-necked people. |

Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. |
Et maintenant laisse-moi faire, afin que ma colère s'embrase contre eux, et que je les consume ; et je ferai de toi une grande nation. |

And now let me alone, that my anger may burn against them, and I may consume them; and I will make of thee a great nation. |
Ahora, pues, déjame que se encienda mi ira en ellos, y los consuma; y de ti yo haré una nación grande. |

And Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? |
Et Moïse implora l'Éternel, son Dieu, et dit : Pourquoi, ô Éternel, ta colère s'embraserait-elle contre ton peuple, que tu as fait sortir du pays d'Égypte, avec grande puissance et à main forte ? |

And Moses besought Jehovah his God, and said, Why, Jehovah, doth thy wrath burn against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a strong hand? |
Entonces Moisés oró en presencia de Jehová su Dios, y dijo: Oh Jehová, ¿por qué se encenderá tu furor contra tu pueblo, que tú sacaste de la tierra de Egipto con gran poder y con mano fuerte? |

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. |
Pourquoi les Égyptiens parleraient-ils, disant : C'est pour leur mal qu'il les a fait sortir, pour les tuer dans les montagnes, et pour les consumer de dessus la face de la terre ? Reviens de l'ardeur de ta colère, et repens-toi du mal [que tu veux faire] à ton peuple. |

Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, For misfortune he has brought them out, to slay them on the mountains, and to annihilate them from the face of the earth? Turn from the heat of thine anger, and repent of this evil against thy people! |
¿Por qué han de hablar los egipcios, diciendo: Para mal los sacó, para matarlos en los montes, y para raerlos de sobre la faz de la tierra? Vuélvete del ardor de tu ira, y arrepiéntete de este mal contra tu pueblo. |

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. |
Souviens-toi d'Abraham, d'Isaac, et d'Israël, tes serviteurs, auxquels tu as juré par toi-même, et auxquels tu as dit : Je multiplierai votre semence comme les étoiles des cieux, et je donnerai à votre semence tout ce pays dont j'ai parlé, et ils l'hériteront pour toujours. |

And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. |

And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written. |

And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, with the two tables of the testimony in his hand--tables written on both their sides: on this side and on that were they written. |

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. |

And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear. |
Et [Moïse] dit : Ce n'est pas un bruit de cris de victoiref, ni un bruit de cris de défaiteg ; j'entends une voix de gens qui chantent en s'entre-répondant. |

And he said, It is not the sound of a shout of victory, neither is it the sound of a shout of defeat: it is the noise of alternate singing I hear. |
Y él respondió: No es voz de alaridos de fuertes, ni voz de alaridos de débiles; voz de cantar oigo yo. |

And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount. |
— Et il arriva que, lorsque [Moïse] s'approcha du camp, il vit le veau et les danses ; et la colère de Moïse s'embrasa, et il jeta de ses mains les tables, et les brisa au pied de la montagne. |

And it came to pass, when he came near the camp, and saw the calf and the dancing, that Moses' anger burned, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and shattered them beneath the mountain. |

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it. |
Et il prit le veau qu'ils avaient fait, et le brûla au feu, et le moulut jusqu'à ce qu'il fut en poudre ; puis il le répandit sur la surface de l'eau, et en fit boire aux fils d'Israël. |

And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them? |
Et Moïse dit à Aaron : Que t'a fait ce peuple, pour que tu aies fait venir sur lui un si grand péché ? |

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. |
Et Aaron dit : Que la colère de mon seigneur ne s'embrase point ; tu connais le peuple, qu'il est [plongé] dans le mal. |

And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord burn! thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. |
Y respondió Aarón: No se enoje mi señor; tú conoces al pueblo, que es inclinado a mal. |

And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf. |
Et je leur ai dit : Qui a de l'or ? Ils l'ont arrachéi, et me l'ont donné ; et je l'ai jeté au feu, et il en est sorti ce veau. |

And I said to them, Who has gold? They broke it off, and gave it me, and I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf. |
Y yo les respondí: ¿Quién tiene oro? Apartadlo. Y me lo dieron, y lo eché en el fuego, y salió este becerro. |

And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:) |
Et Moïse vit que le peuple était dans le désordre ; car Aaron l'avait livré au désordre, pour leur honte parmi leurs adversaires. |

And Moses saw the people how they were stripped; for Aaron had stripped them to their shame before their adversaries. |
Y viendo Moisés que el pueblo estaba desenfrenado, porque Aarón lo había permitido, para vergüenza entre sus enemigos, |

Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. |
Et Moïse se tint à la porte du camp, et dit : À moi, quiconque est pour l'Éternel ! Et tous les fils de Lévi se rassemblèrent vers lui. |

And Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, He that is for Jehovah, let him come to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered to him. |

And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour. |
Et il leur dit : Ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Que chacun mette son épée sur sa cuisse ; passez et revenez d'une porte à l'autre dans le camp, et que chacun de vous tue son frère, et chacun son compagnon, et chacun son intime ami. |

And he said to them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Put every man his sword upon his hip; go and return from gate to gate through the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his friend, and every man his neighbour. |

And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. |

For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the Lord, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day. |
Et Moïse dit : Consacrez-vous aujourd'hui à l'Éternel, chacun dans son fils et dans son frère, afin de faire venir aujourd'hui sur vous [une] bénédiction. |

And Moses said, Consecrate yourselves to-day to Jehovah, yea, every man with his son, and with his brother, and bring on yourselves a blessing to-day. |
Entonces Moisés dijo: Hoy os habéis consagrado a Jehová, pues cada uno se ha consagrado en su hijo y en su hermano, para que él dé bendición hoy sobre vosotros. |

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the Lord; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin. |
Et il arriva, le lendemain, que Moïse dit au peuple : Vous avez commis un grand péché, et maintenant je monterai vers l'Éternel : peut-être ferai-je propitiation pour votre péché. |

And it came to pass the next day, that Moses said to the people, Ye have sinned a great sin. And now I will go up to Jehovah: perhaps I shall make atonement for your sin. |
Y aconteció que al día siguiente dijo Moisés al pueblo: Vosotros habéis cometido un gran pecado, pero yo subiré ahora a Jehová; quizá le aplacaré acerca de vuestro pecado. |

And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. |
Et Moïse retourna vers l'Éternel, et dit : Hélas ! ce peuple a commis un grand péché, et ils se sont fait un dieuj d'or. |

And Moses returned to Jehovah, and said, Alas, this people has sinned a great sin, and they have made themselves a god of gold! |
Entonces volvió Moisés a Jehová, y dijo: Te ruego, pues este pueblo ha cometido un gran pecado, porque se hicieron dioses de oro, |

Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. |
Et maintenant, si tu pardonnes leur péché… ; sinon, efface-moi, je te prie, de ton livre que tu as écrit. |

And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. |
Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : Celui qui aura péché contre moi, je l'effacerai de mon livre. |

Y Jehová respondió a Moisés: Al que pecare contra mí, a este raeré yo de mi libro. |

Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them. |
Et maintenant, va, conduis le peuple où je t'ai dit. Voici, mon Ange ira devant toi : et le jour où je visiterai, je visiterai sur eux leur péché. |

And now go, lead the people whither I have told thee: behold, my Angel shall go before thee; but in the day of my visiting I will visit their sin upon them. |
Ve, pues, ahora, lleva a este pueblo a donde te he dicho; he aquí mi ángel irá delante de ti; pero en el día del castigo, yo castigaré en ellos su pecado. |

And the Lord plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made. |
Et l'Éternel frappa le peuple, parce qu'ils avaient fait le veau qu'Aaron avait fait. |

And Jehovah smote the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron had made. |
Y Jehová hirió al pueblo, porque habían hecho el becerro que formó Aarón. |
