1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. Si un homme vole un bœuf, ou un moutona, et qu'il le tue ou le vende, il restituera cinq bœufs pour le bœuf, et quatre moutons pour le mouton. If a man steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it, he shall restore five oxen for the ox, and four sheep for the sheep. Cuando alguno hurtare buey u oveja, y lo degollare o vendiere, por aquel buey pagará cinco bueyes, y por aquella oveja cuatro ovejas.
2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. Si le voleur est trouvé commettant effraction, et qu'il soit frappé et qu'il meure, il n'y aura pas coulpe de sang pour lui. If the thief be encountered breaking in, and be smitten so that he die, there shall be no blood-guiltiness for him. Si el ladrón fuere hallado forzando una casa, y fuere herido y muriere, el que lo hirió no será culpado de su muerte.
3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. Si le soleil est levé sur lui, il y aura coulpe de sang pour lui : il aurait fait pleine compensation ; s'il n'avait rien eu, il aurait été vendu pour son vol. If the sun be risen on him, there shall be blood-guiltiness for him; he should have made full restitution: if he had nothing, he would have been sold for his theft. Pero si fuere de día, el autor de la muerte será reo de homicidio. El ladrón hará completa restitución; si no tuviere con qué, será vendido por su hurto.
4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double. Si ce qui a été volé est trouvé vivant entre ses mains, soit bœuf, soit âne, soit mouton, il fera compensation au double. If the stolen thing be actually found alive in his hand, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep, he shall restore double. Si fuere hallado con el hurto en la mano, vivo, sea buey o asno u oveja, pagará el doble.
5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution. Si un homme fait brouter un champ ou une vigne, et envoie son bétail et qu'il broute dans le champ d'autrui, il fera compensation, du meilleur de son champ et du meilleur de sa vigne. If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and put in his cattle, and pasture in another man's field, of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard shall he make it good. Si alguno hiciere pastar en campo o viña, y metiere su bestia en campo de otro, de lo mejor de su campo y de lo mejor de su viña pagará.
6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution. Si le feu sort et trouve des épines, et qu'un tas de gerbes, ou du blé sur pied, ou le champ, soit consumé, celui qui aura allumé l'incendie fera pleine compensation. --If fire break out, and seize the thorns, and the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field be consumed, he that kindled the fire shall fully make it good. Cuando se prendiere fuego, y al quemar espinos quemare mieses amontonadas o en pie, o campo, el que encendió el fuego pagará lo quemado.
7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. Si quelqu'un donne à son prochain de l'argent ou des objets à garder, et qu'ils soient volés de la maison de cet homme, si le voleur est trouvé, il fera compensation au double. --If a man deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him restore double; Cuando alguno diere a su prójimo plata o alhajas a guardar, y fuere hurtado de la casa de aquel hombre, si el ladrón fuere hallado, pagará el doble.
8 If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods. Si le voleur n'est pas trouvé, le maître de la maison sera amené devant les jugesb, [pour jurer] s'il n'a pas mis sa main sur le bien de son prochain. if the thief be not found, the master of the house shall be brought before the judges, to see if he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods. Si el ladrón no fuere hallado, entonces el dueño de la casa será presentado a los jueces, para que se vea si ha metido su mano en los bienes de su prójimo.
9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour. Dans toute affaire d'infidélité touchant un bœuf, touchant un âne, touchant un mouton, touchant un vêtement, touchant toute chose perdue dont on dira : C'est cela, — l'affaire des deux [parties] viendra devant les jugesb ; celui que les jugesb condamneront fera compensation au double à son prochain. As to all manner of fraud, --as to ox, as to ass, as to sheep, as to clothing, as to everything lost, of which a man saith, It is this--the cause of both parties shall come before the judges: he whom the judges shall condemn shall restore double to his neighbour. En toda clase de fraude, sobre buey, sobre asno, sobre oveja, sobre vestido, sobre toda cosa perdida, cuando alguno dijere: Esto es mío, la causa de ambos vendrá delante de los jueces; y el que los jueces condenaren, pagará el doble a su prójimo.
10 If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it: Si un homme donne à garder à son prochain un âne, ou un bœuf, ou un mouton, ou une bête quelconque, et que la bête meure, ou qu'elle se soit fait une fracture, ou qu'on l'ait emmenée, sans que personne l'ait vu, If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any cattle, to keep, and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, and no man see it , Si alguno hubiere dado a su prójimo asno, o buey, u oveja, o cualquier otro animal a guardar, y este muriere o fuere estropeado, o fuere llevado sin verlo nadie;
11 Then shall an oath of the Lord be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good. le serment de l'Éternel interviendra entre les deux [parties], [pour jurer] s'il n'a pas mis sa main sur le bien de son prochain ; et le maître de la [bête] l'acceptera, et celui-là ne fera pas compensation ; an oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept it, and he shall not make it good. juramento de Jehová habrá entre ambos, de que no metió su mano a los bienes de su prójimo; y su dueño lo aceptará, y el otro no pagará.
12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof. mais, si réellement elle lui a été volée, il fera compensation au maître : But if it have been stolen from him, he shall make it good unto its owner. Mas si le hubiere sido hurtado, resarcirá a su dueño.
13 If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn. si elle a été déchirée, il l'apportera en témoignage ; il ne compensera pas ce qui a été déchiré. If it have been torn in pieces, let him bring it as witness: he shall not make good what was torn. Y si le hubiere sido arrebatado por fiera, le traerá testimonio, y no pagará lo arrebatado.
14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good. Et si un homme a emprunté [une bête] à son prochain, et qu'elle se fasse une fracture, ou qu'elle meure, et que son maître n'ait pas été avec elle, il fera certainement compensation. --And if a man borrow anything of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, its owner not being with it, he shall fully make it good; Pero si alguno hubiere tomado prestada bestia de su prójimo, y fuere estropeada o muerta, estando ausente su dueño, deberá pagarla.
15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire. Si son maître était avec elle, il ne fera pas compensation ; si elle a été louée, elle sera venue pour son louage. if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good; if it be a hired thing , it came for its hire. Si el dueño estaba presente no la pagará. Si era alquilada, reciba el dueño el alquiler.
16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. Et si un homme séduit une vierge non fiancée, et couche avec elle, il la prendra pour sa femme, en payant une dot. And if a man seduce a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall certainly endow her, to be his wife. Si alguno engañare a una doncella que no fuere desposada, y durmiere con ella, deberá dotarla y tomarla por mujer.
17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. Si son père refuse absolument de la lui donner, il [lui] pèsera de l'argent selon la dot des vierges. If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall weigh money according to the dowry of virgins. Si su padre no quisiere dársela, él le pesará plata conforme a la dote de las vírgenes.a
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Tu ne laisseras point vivre la magicienne. --Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. A la hechicerab no dejarás que viva.
19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. Quiconque couche avec une bête sera certainement mis à mort. --Every one that lieth with a beast shall certainly be put to death. Cualquiera que cohabitare con bestia, morirá.c
20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed. Celui qui sacrifie à un dieu, si ce n'est à l'Éternel seul, sera voué à la destruction. --He that sacrificeth to any god, save to Jehovah only, shall be devoted to destruction. El que ofreciere sacrificio a dioses excepto solamente a Jehová, será muerto.d
21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. Tu ne traiteras pas mal et tu n'opprimeras pas l'étranger ; car vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d'Égypte. Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him; for ye have been strangers in the land of Egypt. Y al extranjero no engañarás ni angustiarás, porque extranjeros fuisteis vosotros en la tierra de Egipto.
22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. Vous n'affligerez aucune veuve, ni aucun orphelin. Ye shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. A ninguna viuda ni huérfano afligiréis.e
23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; Si, en quoi que ce soit, tu les affliges, et qu'ils crient à moi, certainement j'entendrai leur cri ; If thou afflict him in any way, if he cry at all unto me, I will certainly hear his cry; Porque si tú llegas a afligirles, y ellos clamaren a mí, ciertamente oiré yo su clamor;
24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. et ma colère s'embrasera, et je vous tuerai par l'épée, et vos femmes seront veuves, et vos enfants orphelins. and my anger shall burn, and I will slay you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. y mi furor se encenderá, y os mataré a espada, y vuestras mujeres serán viudas, y huérfanos vuestros hijos.
25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. Si tu prêtes de l'argent à mon peuple, au pauvre qui est avec toi, tu ne seras pas avec lui comme un usurier ; vous ne lui imposerez pas d'intérêt. --If thou lend money to my people, the poor with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer: ye shall charge him no interest. Cuando prestares dinero a uno de mi pueblo, al pobre que está contigo, no te portarás con él como logrero, ni le impondrás usura.f
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour’s raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: Si tu prends en gage le vêtement de ton prochain, tu le lui rendras avant que le soleil soit couché ; --If thou at all take thy neighbour's garment in pledge, thou shalt return it to him before the sun goes down; Si tomares en prenda el vestido de tu prójimo, a la puesta del sol se lo devolverás.
27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. car c'est sa seule couverture, son vêtement pour sa peau : dans quoi coucherait-il ? Il arrivera que, quand il criera à moi, je l'écouterai ; car je suis miséricordieuxc. for that is his only covering, his garment for his skin: on what shall he lie down? And it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. Porque solo eso es su cubierta, es su vestido para cubrir su cuerpo. ¿En qué dormirá? Y cuando él clamare a mí, yo le oiré, porque soy misericordioso.g
28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. Tu n'outrageras pas les jugesd, et tu ne maudiras pas le prince de ton peuple. Thou shalt not revile the judges, nor curse a prince amongst thy people. No injuriarás a los jueces,h ni maldecirás al príncipe de tu pueblo.i
29 Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me. Tu ne différeras point [à m'offrir de] l'abondance de ton [grenier] et de ce qui coule de ton pressoir. Le premier-né de tes fils, tu me le donneras. --Thou shalt not delay the fulness of thy threshing-floor and the outflow of thy winepress . The firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me. No demorarás la primicia de tu cosecha ni de tu lagar.
Me darás el primogénito de tus hijos.
30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me. Tu feras ainsi de ton bœuf et de ton menu bétail : il sera sept jours avec sa mère ; le huitième jour, tu me le donneras. Likewise shalt thou do with thy calf, with thy sheep: seven days shall it be with its dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me. Lo mismo harás con el de tu buey y de tu oveja; siete días estará con su madre, y al octavo día me lo darás.
31 And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs. Et vous me serez des hommes saints, et vous ne mangerez point de la chair déchirée aux champs ; vous la jetterez aux chiens. --And ye shall be holy men unto me; and ye shall not eat flesh torn in the field: ye shall cast it to the dog. Y me seréis varones santos. No comeréis carne destrozada por las fierasj en el campo; a los perros la echaréis.
