And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: |

With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. |

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. |
Et il m'emporta en esprit dans un désert : et je vis une femme assise sur une bête écarlate, pleine de noms de blasphème, ayant sept têtes et dix cornes. |

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: |

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. |
et [il y avait] sur son front un nom écrit : Mystère, Babylone la grande, la mère des prostituées et des abominations de la terre. |

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. |

And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. |
Et l'ange me dit : Pourquoi es-tu étonné ? Je te dirai, moi, le mystère de la femme et de la bête qui la porte, qui a les sept têtes et les dix cornes. |

And the angel said to me, Why hast thou wondered? *I* will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast which carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. |

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. |
La bête que tu as vue était, et n'est pas, et va monter de l'abîme et aller à la perdition ; et ceux qui habitent sur la terre, dont les noms ne sont pas écrits dès la fondation du monde au livre de vie, s'étonneront, en voyant la bête, — qu'elle était, et qu'elle n'est pas, et qu'elle sera présentec. |
La bestia que viste era y no es, y está para subir del abismo y va a la destrucción. Y los moradores de la tierra, los que no tienen escrito el nombre en el libro de la vida desde la fundación del mundo, se asombrarán al ver la bestia que era, y que no es, y que será. |
The beast which thou sawest was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go into destruction: and they who dwell on the earth, whose names are not written from the founding of the world in the book of life, shall wonder, seeing the beast, that it was, and is not, and shall be present. |
La bestia que has visto, era, y no es; y está para subir del abismoe e ir a perdición; y los moradores de la tierra, aquellos cuyos nombres no están escritos desde la fundación del mundo en el libro de la vida,f se asombrarán viendo la bestia que era y no es, y será. |

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. |

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. |

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. |
Et les dix cornes que tu as vues et la bête, — celles-cif haïront la prostituée et la rendront déserte et nue, et mangeront sa chair et lag brûleront au feu ; |
Los diez cuernos que viste y la bestia, estos odiarán a la ramera, la dejarán desolada y desnuda, comerán sus carnes y la quemarán con fuego. |
And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire; |

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. |
