In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, |

And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. |

And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? |

And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. |

And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. |

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation. |

And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation. |

And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side. |

Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. |

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. |

And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? |
Et Jésus, le sachant, leur dit : Pourquoi raisonnez-vous sur ce que vous n'avez pas de pains ? N'entendez-vous pas encore, et ne comprenez-vous pas ? Avez-vous encore votre cœur endurci ? |
Sabiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Por qué razonáis así porque no tenéis pan? ¿No sabéis aún, ni entendéis? ¿Tenéis vuestro corazón endurecido? |
And Jesus knowing it , says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart yet hardened? |
Y entendiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Qué discutís, porque no tenéis pan? ¿No entendéis ni comprendéis? ¿Aún tenéis endurecido vuestro corazón? |

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? |

When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. |

And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand? |

And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. |

And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. |

And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything. |

And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. |

After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. |
Puis Jésus lui mit encore les mains sur les yeux et le fit regarder ; et il fut rétabli, et voyait tout clairement. |

Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly. |

And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town. |

And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Cæsarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? |
Et Jésus s'en alla, et ses disciples, aux villages de Césarée de Philippe ; et chemin faisant, il interrogea ses disciples, leur disant : Qui disent les hommes que je suis ? |

And he asked them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, *Thou* art the Christ. |

And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. |

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. |
Et il commença à les enseigner : Il faut que le fils de l'homme souffre beaucoup, et qu'il soit rejeté des anciens et des principaux sacrificateurs et des scribes, et qu'il soit mis à mort, et qu'il ressuscite après trois jours. |
Comenzó a enseñarles que era necesario que el Hijo del hombre padeciese muchas cosas, y fuese desechado por los ancianos, por los jefes de los sacerdotes y los escribas, y que fuese matado, y que resucitase después de tres días. |
And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again . |

And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. |

And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to him , began to rebuke him. |

But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. |

But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men. |

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. |
Et ayant appelé la foule avec ses disciples, il leur dit : Quiconque veut venir après moi, qu'il se renonce soi-même, et qu'il prenne sa croix, et me suive : |

And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. |

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. |
car quiconque voudra sauver sa vied la perdra ; et quiconque perdra sa propre vied pour l'amour de moi et de l'évangile la sauvera. |
Porque el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y el que pierda su vida por mi causa y por causa del evangelio, la salvará. |
For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it. |

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |

Porque ¿qué aprovecha a un hombre ganar el mundo entero, y sufrir la pérdida de su alma? |
For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul? |

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? |

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. |
Car quiconque aura honte de moi et de mes paroles parmi cette génération adultère et pécheresse, le fils de l'homme aura aussi honte de lui, quand il viendra dans la gloire de son Père, avec les saints anges. |
Porque el que se avergüence de mí y de mis palabras en esta generación adúltera y pecadora, de él también el Hijo del hombre se avergonzará, cuando venga en la gloria de su Padre con los santos ángeles. |
For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man also be ashamed when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. |
Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras en esta generación adúltera y pecadora, el Hijo del Hombre se avergonzará también de él, cuando venga en la gloria de su Padre con los santos ángeles. |
