Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. |
Pour ce qui est des choses sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons — (car nous avons tous de la connaissance ; la connaissance enfle, mais l'amour édifie. |
Respecto a lo sacrificado a los ídolos, sabemos, ya que todos tenemos conocimiento, que el conocimiento enorgullece, pero el amor edifica. |
But concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know, (for we all have knowledge: knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. |

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. |

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. |

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) |

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. |
Toutefois la connaissance n'est pas en tous ; mais quelques-uns, ayant jusqu'à maintenant conscience de l'idole, mangent des choses comme sacrifiées aux idoles, et leur conscience, étant faible, en est souillée. |
Pero no todos tienen este conocimiento: algunos, habituados al ídolo hasta ahora, comen como sacrificado al ídolo; y su conciencia, siendo débil, se contamina. |
But knowledge is not in all: but some, with conscience of the idol, until now eat as of a thing sacrificed to idols; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. |
Pero no en todos hay este conocimiento; porque algunos, habituados hasta aquí a los ídolos, comen como sacrificado a ídolos, y su conciencia, siendo débil, se contamina. |

But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. |
Or la viande ne nous recommande pas à Dieu ; si nous ne mangeons pas, nous n'avons pas moins, et si nous mangeons, nous n'avons rien de plus. |
Ahora bien, no es la comida la que nos acerca a Dios; y no somos menos si no comemos, ni más si comemos. |
But meat does not commend us to God; neither if we should not eat do we come short; nor if we should eat have we an advantage. |
Si bien la vianda no nos hace más aceptos ante Dios; pues ni porque comamos, seremos más, ni porque no comamos, seremos menos. |

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. |
Mais prenez garde que cette libertéa que vous avez ne devienne une pierre d'achoppement pour les faibles. |
Pero cuidad que esta libertad vuestra no venga a ser tropezadero para los débiles. |
But see lest anywise this your right to eat itself be a stumbling-block to the weak. |

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; |
Car si quelqu'un te voit, toi qui as de la connaissance, assis à table dans un temple d'idoles, sa conscience à lui qui est faible, ne sera-t-elle pas enhardieb à manger les choses sacrifiées à l'idole ? |
Porque si alguno te ve, a ti que tienes este conocimiento, sentado a la mesa en el templo del ídolo, ¿no será estimulada su conciencia, siendo él débil, para comer de lo sacrificado al ídolo? |
For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at table in an idol-house, shall not his conscience, he being weak, be emboldened to eat the things sacrificed to the idol? |
Porque si alguno te ve a ti, que tienes conocimiento, sentado a la mesa en un lugar de ídolos, la conciencia de aquel que es débil, ¿no será estimulada a comer de lo sacrificado a los ídolos? |

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? |
et celui qui est faible, le frère pour lequel Christ est mort, périra par ta connaissance. |
Y el débil, el hermano por quien Cristo murió, se perderá por tu conocimiento. |
and the weak one , the brother for whose sake Christ died, will perish through thy knowledge. |
Y por el conocimiento tuyo, se perderá el hermano débil por quien Cristo murió. |

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. |
Or en péchant ainsi contre les frères, et en blessant leur conscience qui est faible, vous péchez contre Christ. |
Y pecando así contra los hermanos, e hiriendo su conciencia débil, contra Cristo pecáis. |
Now, thus sinning against the brethren, and wounding their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. |
De esta manera, pues, pecando contra los hermanos e hiriendo su débil conciencia, contra Cristo pecáis. |

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. |
C'est pourquoi, si la viande est une occasion de chute pour mon frère, je ne mangerai pas de chair, à jamais, pour ne pas être une occasion de chute pour mon frère. |
Por eso, si una comida da ocasión de pecar a mi hermano, nunca comeré carne, para no hacer pecar a mi hermano. |
Wherefore if meat be a fall-trap to my brother, I will eat no flesh for ever, that I may not be a fall-trap to my brother. |
Por lo cual, si la comida le es a mi hermano ocasión de caer, no comeré carne jamás, para no poner tropiezo a mi hermano. |
