And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth. |
Et Jonathan, fils de Saül, avait un fils perclus des pieds ; il était âgé de cinq ans lorsque le bruit touchant Saül et Jonathan vint de Jizreël ; et sa nourrice l'emporta, et s'enfuit ; et il arriva que, comme elle se hâtait de fuir, il tomba et devint boiteux ; et son nom était Mephiboshetha. |

And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish–bosheth, who lay on a bed at noon. |
Et les fils de Rimmon, le Beérothien, Récab et Baana, s'en allèrent et vinrent, pendant la chaleur du jour, dans la maison d'Ish-Bosheth ; et il était couché pour son repos de midi. |

And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went and came in about the heat of the day into the house of Ishbosheth, who was taking his noonday rest. |
Los hijos, pues, de Rimón beerotita, Recab y Baana, fueron y entraron en el mayor calor del día en casa de Is-boset, el cual estaba durmiendo la siesta en su cámara. |

And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped. |
Et ils entrèrent jusque dans l'intérieur de la maison, comme pour prendre du froment, et ils le frappèrent au ventre ; et Récab et Baana, son frère, s'échappèrent. |

For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and gat them away through the plain all night. |
Ils entrèrent dans la maison pendant qu'il était couché sur son lit dans sa chambre à coucher, et ils le frappèrent et le tuèrent ; et ils lui ôtèrent la tête, et ils prirent sa tête, et s'en allèrent toute la nuit par le chemin de la plaineb. |

And they brought the head of Ish–bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish–bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the Lord hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed. |
Et ils apportèrent la tête d'Ish-Bosheth à David, à Hébron, et ils dirent au roi : Voici la tête d'Ish-Bosheth, fils de Saül, ton ennemi qui cherchait ta vie ; et l'Éternel a donné en ce jour au roi, mon seigneur, d'être vengé de Saül et de sa racec. |

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David in Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, thine enemy who sought thy life; and Jehovah has given to my lord the king to be avenged this day of Saul and of his seed. |
Y trajeron la cabeza de Is-boset a David en Hebrón, y dijeron al rey: He aquí la cabeza de Is-boset hijo de Saúl tu enemigo, que procuraba matarte; y Jehová ha vengado hoy a mi señor el rey, de Saúl y de su linaje. |

And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the Lord liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity, |
Et David répondit à Récab et à Baana son frère, fils de Rimmon, le Beérothien, et leur dit : L'Éternel est vivant, qui a racheté mon âme de toute détresse, |

Then David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, As Jehovah liveth, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress, |

When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings: |
que celui qui me rapporta, disant : Voici, Saül est mort ! et qui était à ses propres yeux comme un messager de bonnes nouvelles, je le saisis et le tuai à Tsiklag, lui donnant [ainsi] le salaire de sa bonne nouvelle : |

when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead! and he was in his own sight a messenger of good, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag--to whom forsooth I should give a reward for his good tidings: |
que cuando uno me dio nuevas, diciendo: He aquí Saúl ha muerto, imaginándose que traía buenas nuevas, yo lo prendí, y le maté en Siclag en pago de la nueva.b |

How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth? |
combien plus, quand de méchants hommes ont tué un homme juste dans sa maison, sur son lit ! Et maintenant, ne redemanderai-je pas son sang de votre main ; et ne vous exterminerai-je pas de la terre ? |

And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish–bosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron. |
Et David commanda à ses jeunes hommes, et ils les tuèrent et leur coupèrent les mains et les pieds, et les pendirent au réservoir de Hébron. Et on prit la tête d'Ish-Bosheth, et on l'enterra dans le sépulcre d'Abner, à Hébron. |
