Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night: |

And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: |
et j'arriverai sur lui tandis qu'il est fatigué et que ses mains sont faibles, et je l'épouvanterai ; et tout le peuple qui est avec lui s'enfuira, et je frapperai le roi seul ; |

y caeré sobre él mientras está cansado y débil de manos; lo atemorizaré, y todo el pueblo que está con él huirá, y mataré al rey solo. |

And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace. |
et je ramènerai à toi tout le peuple. L'homme que tu cherches est autant que le retour de tous : tout le peuple sera en paix. |

Así haré volver a ti todo el pueblo (pues tú buscas solamente la vida de un hombre); y cuando ellos hayan vuelto, todo el pueblo estará en paz. |

And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel. |
Et la parole fut bonnea aux yeux d'Absalom et aux yeux de tous les anciens d'Israël. |

And the saying was right in the eyes of Absalom, and in the eyes of all the elders of Israel. |
Este consejo pareció bien a Absalón y a todos los ancianos de Israel. |

Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith. |
Et Absalom dit : Appelle aussi Hushaï, l'Arkite, et nous entendrons ce que lui aussi ditb. |

And Absalom said, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and we will hear also what he says. |
Y dijo Absalón: Llamad también ahora a Husai arquita, para que asimismo oigamos lo que él dirá. |

And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou. |
Et Hushaï vint vers Absalom ; et Absalom lui parla, disant : Akhitophel a parlé de cette manière ; ferons-nous ce qu'il a dit ? Sinon, parle, toi. |

And Hushai came to Absalom, and Absalom spoke to him saying, Ahithophel has spoken after this manner: shall we carry out his word? If not, speak thou. |
Cuando Husai vino a Absalón, le habló Absalón, diciendo: Así ha dicho Ahitofel; ¿seguiremos su consejo, o no? Di tú. |

And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time. |
Et Hushaï dit à Absalom : Le conseil qu'Akhitophel a donné cette fois n'est pas bon. |

And Hushai said to Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel has given this time is not good. |
Entonces Husai dijo a Absalón: El consejo que ha dado esta vez Ahitofel no es bueno. |

For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. |
Et Hushaï dit : Tu connais ton père et ses hommes, que ce sont des hommes vaillants, et qu'ils ont l'amertume dans l'âme, comme une ourse dans les champs, privée de ses petits ; et ton père est un homme de guerre : il ne passera pas la nuit avec le peuple. |

And Hushai said, Thou knowest thy father and his men, that they are mighty men, and they are of exasperated spirit, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field; and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people. |
Y añadió Husai: Tú sabes que tu padre y los suyos son hombres valientes, y que están con amargura de ánimo, como la osa en el campo cuando le han quitado sus cachorros. Además, tu padre es hombre de guerra, y no pasará la noche con el pueblo. |

Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom. |
Voici, il est maintenant caché dans quelque fosse, ou dans quelque autre lieu. Et il arrivera que, si quelques-uns tombent dès le commencement, quiconque l'apprendra, dira : Il y a une déroute parmi le peuple qui suit Absalom ; |

Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or some such place; and it will come to pass, when some of them fall at the first, whoever heareth it will say, There has been slaughter among the people that follow Absalom, |
He aquí él estará ahora escondido en alguna cueva, o en otro lugar; y si al principio cayeren algunos de los tuyos, quienquiera que lo oyere dirá: El pueblo que sigue a Absalón ha sido derrotado. |

And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men. |
et celui-là même qui est un homme courageux, qui a un cœur de lion, se fondra entièrement, car tout Israël sait que ton père est un homme vaillant, et que ceux qui sont avec lui sont des hommes courageux. |

and even the valiant man whose heart is as the heart of a lion shall utterly melt; for all Israel knows that thy father is a mighty man, and they that are with him are valiant men. |
Y aun el hombre valiente, cuyo corazón sea como corazón de león, desmayará por completo; porque todo Israel sabe que tu padre es hombre valiente, y que los que están con él son esforzados. |

Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beer–sheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person. |
Mais je conseille qu'on assemble en hâte auprès de toi tout Israël, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beër-Shéba, nombreux comme le sable qui est près de la mer, et que toi-même tu marches au combat. |

But I counsel that all Israel be speedily gathered to thee, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person. |
Aconsejo, pues, que todo Israel se junte a ti, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, en multitud como la arena que está a la orilla del mar, y que tú en persona vayas a la batalla. |

So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one. |
Et nous arriverons à lui dans l'un des lieux où il se trouvera, et nous nous abattrons sur lui comme la rosée tombe sur le sol ; et, de lui et de tous les hommes qui sont avec lui, il n'en restera pas un seul. |

And we shall come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falls on the ground; and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one. |
Entonces le acometeremos en cualquier lugar en donde se hallare, y caeremos sobre él como cuando el rocío cae sobre la tierra, y ni uno dejaremos de él y de todos los que están con él. |

Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there. |
Et s'il s'est retiré dans une ville, alors tout Israël apportera des cordes vers cette ville-là, et nous la traînerons jusque dans le torrent, jusqu'à ce qu'il ne s'en trouve pas même une petite pierre. |

And if he withdraw into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the torrent, until there be not one small stone found there. |
Y si se refugiare en alguna ciudad, todos los de Israel llevarán sogas a aquella ciudad, y la arrastraremos hasta el arroyo, hasta que no se encuentre allí ni una piedra. |

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the Lord had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the Lord might bring evil upon Absalom. |
Et Absalom et tous les hommes d'Israël dirent : Le conseil de Hushaï, l'Arkite, est meilleur que le conseil d'Akhitophel. Et l'Éternel avait décrété d'annuler le bon conseil d'Akhitophel, pour que l'Éternel fît venir le mal sur Absalom. |

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. And Jehovah had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, in order that Jehovah might bring evil upon Absalom. |
Entonces Absalón y todos los de Israel dijeron: El consejo de Husai arquita es mejor que el consejo de Ahitofel. Porque Jehová había ordenado que el acertado consejo de Ahitofel se frustrara, para que Jehová hiciese venir el mal sobre Absalón. |

Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled. |
Et Hushaï dit à Tsadok et à Abiathar, les sacrificateurs : Akhitophel a conseillé ainsi et ainsi à Absalom et aux anciens d'Israël, et ainsi et ainsi moi j'ai conseillé. |

And Hushai said to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled. |
Dijo luego Husai a los sacerdotes Sadoc y Abiatar: Así y así aconsejó Ahitofel a Absalón y a los ancianos de Israel; y de esta manera aconsejé yo. |

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him. |
Et maintenant, envoyez promptement, et avertissez David, en disant : Ne passe pas la nuit dans les plaines du désert, et ne manque pas de passer plus avant, de peur que le roi ne soit englouti, et tout le peuple qui est avec lui. |

And now send quickly, and tell David saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him. |
Por tanto, enviad inmediatamente y dad aviso a David, diciendo: No te quedes esta noche en los vados del desierto, sino pasa luego el Jordán, para que no sea destruido el rey y todo el pueblo que con él está. |

Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by En–rogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a wench went and told them; and they went and told king David. |
Et Jonathan et Akhimaats se tenaient à En-Roguel, et une servante alla et les avertit, et ils allèrent et avertirent le roi David ; car ils ne pouvaient pas se montrer entrant dans la ville. |

And Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by En-rogel; and the maid went and told them; and they went and told king David, for they might not be seen to come into the city. |
Y Jonatán y Ahimaas estaban junto a la fuente de Rogel, y fue una criada y les avisó, porque ellos no podían mostrarse viniendo a la ciudad; y ellos fueron y se lo hicieron saber al rey David. |

Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man’s house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; whither they went down. |
Et un garçon les vit, et le rapporta à Absalom ; alors ils s'en allèrent les deux en hâte, et vinrent à la maison d'un homme, à Bakhurim ; et il avait dans sa cour un puits, où ils descendirent. |

But a lad saw them, and told Absalom. Then they went both of them away quickly, and came to the house of a man at Bahurim, who had a well in his court; and they went down there. |
Pero fueron vistos por un joven, el cual lo hizo saber a Absalón; sin embargo, los dos se dieron prisa a caminar, y llegaron a casa de un hombre en Bahurim, que tenía en su patio un pozo, dentro del cual se metieron. |

And the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known. |
Et la femme prit une couverture et l'étendit sur la bouche du puits, et répandit dessus du grain pilé ; et on ne s'aperçut de rien. |

And when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem. |
Et les serviteurs d'Absalom allèrent vers la femme dans la maison, et dirent : Où sont Akhimaats et Jonathan ? Et la femme leur dit : Ils ont passé le ruisseau. Et ils les cherchèrent et ne les trouvèrent pas, et retournèrent à Jérusalem. |

And Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, and said, Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said to them, They have gone over the brook of water. And they sought and could not find them , and returned to Jerusalem. |
Llegando luego los criados de Absalón a la casa de la mujer, le dijeron: ¿Dónde están Ahimaas y Jonatán? Y la mujer les respondió: Ya han pasado el vado de las aguas. Y como ellos los buscaron y no los hallaron, volvieron a Jerusalén. |

And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you. |
Et après qu'ils s'en furent allés, [Akhimaats et Jonathan] montèrent du puits, et allèrent et rapportèrent au roi David ; et ils dirent à David : Levez-vous et passez l'eau en hâte, car Akhitophel a donné tel conseil contre vous. |

And it came to pass after they had departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David; and they said to David, Arise and pass quickly over the water; for thus has Ahithophel counselled against you. |
Y después que se hubieron ido, aquellos salieron del pozo y se fueron, y dieron aviso al rey David, diciéndole: Levantaos y daos prisa a pasar las aguas, porque Ahitofel ha dado tal consejo contra vosotros. |

Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan. |
Et David se leva, et tout le peuple qui était avec lui, et ils passèrent le Jourdain ; à la lumière du matin il n'en manqua pas un qui n'eût passé le Jourdain. |

Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over the Jordan; by the morning light there was not one of them missing that had not gone over the Jordan. |
Entonces David se levantó, y todo el pueblo que con él estaba, y pasaron el Jordán antes que amaneciese; ni siquiera faltó uno que no pasase el Jordán. |

And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. |
Et quand Akhitophel vit que son conseil n'était pas exécuté, il sella son âne, et se leva et s'en alla en sa maison, dans sa ville ; et il donna des ordres à sa maison, et s'étrangla, et mourut ; et il fut enterré dans le sépulcre de son père. |

And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose and went to his house, to his city, and gave charge to his household, and hanged himself, and he died; and he was buried in the sepulchre of his father. |
Pero Ahitofel, viendo que no se había seguido su consejo, enalbardó su asno, y se levantó y se fue a su casa a su ciudad; y después de poner su casa en orden, se ahorcó, y así murió, y fue sepultado en el sepulcro de su padre. |

Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him. |

And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man’s son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab’s mother. |
Et Absalom établit Amasa sur l'armée, à la place de Joab. Et Amasa était le fils d'un homme nommé Jithra, l'Israélitec, qui était entré vers Abigaïl, fille de Nakhash et sœur de Tseruïa, mère de Joab. |

And Absalom set Amasa over the host instead of Joab; which Amasa was the son of a man whose name was Jithra the Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah, Joab's mother. |
Y Absalón nombró a Amasa jefe del ejército en lugar de Joab. Amasa era hijo de un varón de Israel llamado Itra, el cual se había llegado a Abigail hija de Nahas, hermana de Sarvia madre de Joab. |

And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo–debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim, |
Et comme David arrivait à Mahanaïm, Shobi, fils de Nakhash, de Rabba des fils d'Ammon, et Makir, fils d'Ammiel, de Lodebar, et Barzillaï le Galaadite, de Roguelim, |

And as soon as David came to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo-debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim, |
Luego que David llegó a Mahanaim, Sobi hijo de Nahas, de Rabá de los hijos de Amón, Maquir hijo de Amiel, de Lodebar, y Barzilai galaadita de Rogelim, |

Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and parched pulse, |
amenèrent des lits, et des bassins, et des vases en poterie, et du froment, et de l'orge, et de la farine, et du grain rôti, et des fèves, et des lentilles, et des grains rôtis, |

And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness. |
et du miel, et du cailléd, et du menu bétail, et des fromages de vache, pour David et pour le peuple qui était avec lui, pour qu'ils en mangeassent, car ils dirent : Le peuple a faim, et il est fatigué, et il a soif dans le désert. |

and honey, and cream, and sheep, and cheese of kine to David, and to the people that were with him, to eat; for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty in the wilderness. |
miel, manteca, ovejas, y quesos de vaca, para que comiesen; porque decían: El pueblo está hambriento y cansado y sediento en el desierto. |
