And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. |
☆ Et il arriva, au retour de l'année, au temps où les rois entrent en campagnea, que David envoya Joab, et ses serviteurs avec lui, et tout Israël ; et ils détruisirent les fils d'Ammon et assiégèrent Rabba ; mais David resta à Jérusalem. |

And it came to pass, at the return of the year, at the time when kings go forth, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they laid waste the land of the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David abode at Jerusalem. |

And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. |
Et il arriva, au temps du soir, que David se leva de dessus son lit de repos et se promena sur le toit de la maison du roi, et, du toit, il vit une femme qui se lavait, et la femme était très-belle à voir. |

And it came to pass at evening time that David arose from off his couch, and walked upon the roof of the king's house; and from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful; |
Y sucedió un día, al caer la tarde, que se levantó David de su lecho y se paseaba sobre el terrado de la casa real; y vio desde el terrado a una mujer que se estaba bañando, la cual era muy hermosa. |

And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath–sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? |
Et David envoya et s'informa de cette femme, et on [lui] dit : N'est-ce pas là Bath-Shéba, fille d'Éliam, femme d'Urie, le Héthien ? |

and David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Urijah the Hittite? |
Envió David a preguntar por aquella mujer, y le dijeron: Aquella es Betsabé hija de Eliam, mujer de Urías heteo. |

And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. |
Et David envoya des messagers, et la prit ; et elle vint vers lui, et il coucha avec elle (et elle se purifiab de son impureté) ; et elle s'en retourna dans sa maison. |

And when Uriah was come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered. |

And when Urijah had come to him, David asked how Joab prospered, and how the people prospered, and how the war prospered. |

And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king. |
Et David dit à Urie : Descends dans ta maison, et lave tes pieds. Et Urie sortit de la maison du roi, et on envoya après lui un présent de la part du roi. |

And David said to Urijah, Go down to thy house and wash thy feet. And Urijah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him presents from the king. |
Después dijo David a Urías: Desciende a tu casa, y lava tus pies. Y saliendo Urías de la casa del rey, le fue enviado presente de la mesa real. |

But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house. |
Et Urie se coucha à l'entrée de la maison du roi avec tous les serviteurs de son seigneur, et ne descendit pas dans sa maison. |

And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house? |
Et on le rapporta à David, disant : Urie n'est pas descendu à sa maison. Et David dit à Urie : Ne viens-tu pas de voyage ? Pourquoi n'es-tu pas descendu dans ta maison ? |

And they had told David saying, Urijah did not go down to his house; and David said to Urijah, Art thou not come from a journey? why didst thou not go down to thy house? |
E hicieron saber esto a David, diciendo: Urías no ha descendido a su casa. Y dijo David a Urías: ¿No has venido de camino? ¿Por qué, pues, no descendiste a tu casa? |

And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing. |
Et Urie dit à David : L'arche, et Israël, et Juda, habitent sous des tentesd ; et mon seigneur Joab et les serviteurs de mon seigneur campent dans les champs, et moi, j'entrerais dans ma maison pour manger et boire, et pour coucher avec ma femme ? Tu es vivant, et ton âme est vivante, si je fais une telle chose ! |

And Urijah said to David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah abide in booths; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields: shall I then go into my house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? As thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing. |
Y Urías respondió a David: El arca e Israel y Judá están bajo tiendas, y mi señor Joab, y los siervos de mi señor, en el campo; ¿y había yo de entrar en mi casa para comer y beber, y a dormir con mi mujer? Por vida tuya, y por vida de tu alma, que yo no haré tal cosa. |

And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow. |
Et David dit à Urie : Demeure ici encore aujourd'hui, et demain je te renverrai. Et Urie demeura à Jérusalem ce jour-là et le lendemain. |

And David said to Urijah, Abide here to-day also, and to-morrow I will let thee depart. And Urijah abode in Jerusalem that day and the morrow. |

And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house. |
Et David l'appela, et il mangea et but devant lui, et [David] l'enivra ; et il sortit le soir pour se coucher sur son lit avec les serviteurs de son seigneur, et il ne descendit pas dans sa maison. |

And David invited him, and he ate and drank before him; and he made him drunk. And in the evening he went out to lie on his couch with the servants of his lord, but did not go down to his house. |
Y David lo convidó a comer y a beber con él, hasta embriagarlo. Y él salió a la tarde a dormir en su cama con los siervos de su señor; mas no descendió a su casa. |

And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. |

And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die. |
Et il écrivit dans la lettre, disant : Placez Urie sur la première ligne au fort de la bataille, et retirez-vous d'auprès de lui, afin qu'il soit frappé et qu'il meure. |

And he wrote in the letter saying, Set Urijah in the front of the thickest fight, and withdraw from him, that he may be smitten and die. |
Y escribió en la carta, diciendo: Poned a Urías al frente, en lo más recio de la batalla, y retiraos de él, para que sea herido y muera. |

And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were. |
Et il arriva que, comme Joab surveillait la ville, il plaça Urie à l'endroit où il savait qu'étaient de vaillants hommes. |

And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also. |
Et les hommes de la ville sortirent et se battirent contre Joab ; et il en tomba quelques-uns d'entre le peuple, d'entre les serviteurs de David, et Urie, le Héthien, mourut aussi. |

Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war; |

And charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king, |

And if so be that the king’s wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall? |
s'il arrive que la fureur du roi monte, et qu'il te dise : Pourquoi vous êtes-vous approchés de la ville pour combattre ? Ne savez-vous pas qu'on tire de dessus la muraille ? |

and if so be that the king's wrath arise, and he say to thee, Why did ye go so near to the city to fight? did ye not know that they would shoot from the wall? |
si el rey comenzare a enojarse, y te dijere: ¿Por qué os acercasteis demasiado a la ciudad para combatir? ¿No sabíais lo que suelen arrojar desde el muro? |

Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also. |
Qui frappa Abimélec, fils de Jerubbésheth ? N'est-ce pas une femme qui jeta sur lui, de dessus la muraille, une meule tournante, et il en mourut à Thébets ? Pourquoi vous êtes-vous approchés de la muraille ? — alors tu diras : Ton serviteur Urie, le Héthien, est mort aussi. |

Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast the upper stone of a handmill from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why did ye go near the wall? --then say thou, Thy servant Urijah the Hittite is dead also. |
¿Quién hirió a Abimelec hijo de Jerobaal? ¿No echó una mujer del muro un pedazo de una rueda de molino, y murió en Tebes?b ¿Por qué os acercasteis tanto al muro? Entonces tú le dirás: También tu siervo Urías heteo es muerto. |

So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for. |

And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate. |
Et le messager dit à David : Les hommes ont eu l'avantage sur nous ; ils sont sortis contre nous dans la campagne, et nous les avons chargés jusqu'à l'entrée de la porte ; |

And the messenger said to David, The men prevailed against us, and came out against us into the field, and we were upon them as far as the entrance of the gate. |
Y dijo el mensajero a David: Prevalecieron contra nosotros los hombres que salieron contra nosotros al campo, bien que nosotros les hicimos retroceder hasta la entrada de la puerta; |

And the shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king’s servants be dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also. |
et les archers ont tiré sur tes serviteurs de dessus la muraille, et des serviteurs du roi sont morts, et ton serviteur Urie, le Héthien, est mort aussi. |

And the shooters shot from upon the wall against thy servants; and some of the king's servants are dead, and thy servant Urijah the Hittite is dead also. |

Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him. |
Et David dit au messager : Tu diras ainsi à Joab : Que cela ne soit pas mauvais à tes yeux, car l'épée dévore tantôt ici, tantôt là ; renforce le combat contre la ville, et détruis-la. Et toi, encourage-le.e |

Then David said to the messenger, Thus shalt thou say to Joab: Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devours one as well as another: make thy battle strong against the city, and overthrow it; --and encourage him. |
Y David dijo al mensajero: Así dirás a Joab: No tengas pesar por esto, porque la espada consume, ora a uno, ora a otro; refuerza tu ataque contra la ciudad, hasta que la rindas. Y tú aliéntale. |

And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband. |
Et la femme d'Urie apprit qu'Urie, son mari, était mort, et elle se lamenta sur son mari. |

And the wife of Urijah heard that Urijah her husband was dead, and she mourned for her husband. |
Oyendo la mujer de Urías que su marido Urías era muerto, hizo duelo por su marido. |

And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord. |
Et quand le deuil fut passé, David envoya, et la recueillit dans sa maison, et elle devint sa femme, et lui enfanta un fils. Mais la chose que David avait faite fut mauvaise aux yeux de l'Éternel. |

And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of Jehovah. |
Y pasado el luto, envió David y la trajo a su casa; y fue ella su mujer, y le dio a luz un hijo. Mas esto que David había hecho, fue desagradable ante los ojos de Jehová. |
