1	And it came to pass after this, that David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron.	Et il arriva, après cela, que David interrogea l'Éternel, disant : Monterai-je dans une des villes de Juda ? Et l'Éternel lui dit : Monte. Et David dit. Où monterai-je ? 4	And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabesh–gilead were they that buried Saul.	Et les hommes de Juda vinrent et oignirent là David pour roi sur la maison de Juda. a Et on rapporta à David, disant : Ce sont les hommes de Jabès de Galaad qui ont enterré Saül.	And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, It is the men of Jabesh-Gilead that have buried Saul.	Y vinieron los varones de Judá y ungieron allí a David por rey sobre la casa de Judá. Y dieron aviso a David, diciendo: Los de Jabes de Galaad son los que sepultaron a Saúl.b
5	And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabesh–gilead, and said unto them, Blessed be ye of the Lord, that ye have shewed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.	Et David envoya des messagers aux hommes de Jabès de Galaad, et leur fit dire : Bénis soyez-vous de l'Éternel, de ce que vous avez usé de cette bonté envers votre seigneur Saül, et de ce que vous l'avez enterré !	And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-Gilead, and said to them, Blessed be ye of Jehovah, that ye have shewn this kindness to your lord, to Saul, and have buried him! 6	And now the Lord shew kindness and truth unto you: and I also will requite you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.	Et maintenant, que l'Éternel use envers vous de bonté et de vérité ! Et moi aussi je vous rendrai ce bien, parce que vous avez fait cela.	And now Jehovah shew kindness and faithfulness to you; and I also will requite you this good, because ye have done this thing.	Ahora, pues, Jehová haga con vosotros misericordia y verdad; y yo también os haré bien por esto que habéis hecho.
7	Therefore now let your hands be strengthened, and be ye valiant: for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.	Et maintenant, que vos mains se fortifient, et soyez des hommes vaillants ; car votre seigneur Saül est mort, et de plus, c'est moi que la maison de Juda a oint pour roi sur elle.	And now let your hands be strong, and be ye valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah have anointed me king over them.	Esfuércense, pues, ahora vuestras manos, y sed valientes; pues muerto Saúl vuestro señor, los de la casa de Judá me han ungido por rey sobre ellos.
8	But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul’s host, took Ish–bosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;	Et Abner, fils de Ner, chef de l'armée de Saül, prit Ish-Boshethb, fils de Saül, et le fit passer à Mahanaïm	And Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, took Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim;	Pero Abner hijo de Ner, general del ejército de Saúl, tomó a Is-boset hijo de Saúl, y lo llevó a Mahanaim,

10	Ish–bosheth Saul’s son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David. 11	And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months. 12	And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ish–bosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.	Et Abner, fils de Ner, et les serviteurs d'Ish-Bosheth, fils de Saül, sortirent de Mahanaïm vers Gabaon ;	And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon. 13	And Joab the son of Zeruiah, and the servants of David, went out, and met together by the pool of Gibeon: and they sat down, the one on the one side of the pool, and the other on the other side of the pool.	et Joab, fils de Tseruïa, et les serviteurs de David, sortirent aussi ; et ils se rencontrèrent ensemble près du réservoir de Gabaon ; et ceux-ci s'assirent d'un côté du réservoir, et ceux-là de l'autre côté du réservoir. 14	And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise, and play before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.	Et Abner dit à Joab : Que les jeunes hommes se lèvent donc et jouent [entre eux] devant nous ! Et Joab dit : Qu'ils se lèvent.	And Abner said to Joab, Let the young men now arise and make sport before us. And Joab said, Let them arise.	Y dijo Abner a Joab: Levántense ahora los jóvenes, y maniobren delante de nosotros. Y Joab respondió: Levántense.
15	Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, which pertained to Ish–bosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.	Et ils se levèrent et passèrent, au nombre de douze pour Benjamin et pour Ish-Bosheth, fils de Saül, et de douze d'entre les serviteurs de David.	And they arose and went over by number, twelve for Benjamin, and for Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.	Entonces se levantaron, y pasaron en número igual, doce de Benjamín por parte de Is-boset hijo de Saúl, y doce de los siervos de David.
16	And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow’s side; so they fell down together: wherefore that place was called Helkath–hazzurim, which is in Gibeon.	Et chacun saisit son adversairec par la tête, et [passa] son épée dans le flanc de son adversairec, et ils tombèrent [tous] ensemble. Et on appela ce lieu-là Helkath-Hatsurimd, qui est en Gabaon.	And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and thrust his sword in his fellow's side, and they fell down together. And that place was called Helkath-hazzurim, which is by Gibeon.	Y cada uno echó mano de la cabeza de su adversario, y metió su espada en el costado de su adversario, y cayeron a una; por lo que fue llamado aquel lugar, Helcat-hazurim,c el cual está en Gabaón.
17	And there was a very sore battle that day; and Abner was beaten, and the men of Israel, before the servants of David.	Et le combat fut très-rude ce jour-là ; et Abner et les hommes d'Israël furent battus devant les serviteurs de David.	And the battle that day was very severe; and Abner and the men of Israel were routed before the servants of David.	La batalla fue muy reñida aquel día, y Abner y los hombres de Israel fueron vencidos por los siervos de David.
18	And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.	Et il y avait là trois fils de Tseruïa, Joab, et Abishaï, et Asçaël.	And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel. Now Asahel was swift of foot, as one of the gazelles that are in the field. 19	And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner.	Et Asçaël était léger de ses pieds comme une des gazelles qui sont dans les champs. Et Asçaël poursuivit Abner, et il ne se détourna pas d'Abner pour aller à droite ou à gauche.	And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from behind Abner.	Y siguió Asael tras de Abner, sin apartarse ni a derecha ni a izquierda.
20	Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he answered, I am.	Et Abner regarda derrière lui, et dit : Est-ce toi, Asçaël ? Et il dit : C'est moi.	Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he said, I am.	Y miró atrás Abner, y dijo: ¿No eres tú Asael? Y él respondió: Sí.
21	And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay thee hold on one of the young men, and take thee his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.	Et Abner lui dit : Détourne-toi à droite ou à gauche, et saisis-toi de l'un des jeunes hommes et prends pour toi son armure. Mais Asçaël ne voulut pas se détourner de lui.	And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside, to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay hold of one of the young men, and take for thyself his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following him.	Entonces Abner le dijo: Apártate a la derecha o a la izquierda, y echa mano de alguno de los hombres, y toma para ti sus despojos. Pero Asael no quiso apartarse de en pos de él.
22	And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: wherefore should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?	Et Abner dit encore à Asçaël : Détourne-toi de moi ! Pourquoi te jetterais-je mort par terre ? Et comment lèverais-je ma face devant Joab, ton frère ?	And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn thee aside from following me: why should I smite thee to the ground? how then should I hold up my face to Joab thy brother?	Y Abner volvió a decir a Asael: Apártate de en pos de mí; ¿por qué he de herirte hasta derribarte? ¿Cómo levantaría yo entonces mi rostro delante de Joab tu hermano?
23	Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still.	Mais il refusa de se détourner, et Abner le frappa au ventre avec la hampe de sa lance, et sa lance lui sortit par derrière, et il tomba là et mourut sur place. Et tous ceux qui venaient à l'endroit où Asçaël était tombé et était mort, s'arrêtaient.	But he refused to turn aside; therefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him in the belly, so that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place. And it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still. 24	Joab also and Abishai pursued after Abner: and the sun went down when they were come to the hill of Ammah, that lieth before Giah by the way of the wilderness of Gibeon.	Et Joab et Abishaï poursuivirent Abner ; et le soleil se couchait quand ils arrivèrent à la colline d'Amma, qui est devant Guiakh, sur le chemin du désert de Gabaon.	And Joab and Abishai pursued after Abner; and the sun went down when they came to the hill of Ammah, which is before Giah on the way to the wilderness of Gibeon.	Mas Joab y Abisai siguieron a Abner; y se puso el sol cuando llegaron al collado de Amma, que está delante de Gía, junto al camino del desierto de Gabaón.
25	And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together after Abner, and became one troop, and stood on the top of an hill.	Et les fils de Benjamin se rassemblèrent derrière Abner ; et ils formèrent une seule troupe, et se tinrent sur le sommet d'une colline. 26	Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?	Et Abner cria à Joab et dit : L'épée dévorera-t-elle à toujours ? Ne sais-tu pas qu'il y aura de l'amertume à la fin ? et jusques à quand ne diras-tu pas au peuple de revenir de la poursuite de ses frères ?	And Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? and how long shall it be ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?	Y Abner dio voces a Joab, diciendo: ¿Consumirá la espada perpetuamente? ¿No sabes tú que el final será amargura? ¿Hasta cuándo no dirás al pueblo que se vuelva de perseguir a sus hermanos?
27	And Joab said, As God liveth, unless thou hadst spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.	Et Joab dit : Dieu est vivant, que, si tu n'avais parlé, dès le matin [déjà] le peuple se serait retiré, chacun de la poursuite de son frère ! Y Joab respondió: Vive Dios, que si no hubieses hablado, el pueblo hubiera dejado de seguir a sus hermanos desde esta mañana.
28	So Joab blew a trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither fought they any more.	Et Joab sonna de la trompette, et tout le peuple s'arrêta ; et ils ne poursuivirent plus Israël, et ils ne continuèrent plus à se battre.	And Joab blew the trumpet, and all the people stood still, and pursued after Israel no more, neither did they fight any more.	Entonces Joab tocó el cuerno, y todo el pueblo se detuvo, y no persiguió más a los de Israel, ni peleó más.
29	And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.	Et Abner et ses hommes marchèrent toute cette nuit-là dans la plainee, et traversèrent le Jourdain, et marchèrent par tout le Bithron, et vinrent à Mahanaïm.	And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, and passed over the Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and they came to Mahanaim.	Y Abner y los suyos caminaron por el Arabá toda aquella noche, y pasando el Jordán cruzaron por todo Bitrón y llegaron a Mahanaim.
30	And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David’s servants nineteen men and Asahel.	Et Joab s'en retourna de la poursuite d'Abner et rassembla tout le peuple ; et, des serviteurs de David, il manquait dix-neuf hommes et Asçaël.	And Joab returned from following Abner, and gathered all the people together; and there lacked of David's servants nineteen men, and Asahel.	Joab también volvió de perseguir a Abner, y juntando a todo el pueblo, faltaron de los siervos de David diecinueve hombres y Asael.
31	But the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner’s men, so that three hundred and threescore men died.	Et les serviteurs de David avaient frappé à mort trois cent soixante hommes de Benjamin et des hommes d'Abner.	And the servants of David had smitten of Benjamin, and of Abner's men, three hundred and sixty men, who had died.	Mas los siervos de David hirieron de los de Benjamín y de los de Abner, a trescientos sesenta hombres, los cuales murieron.
32	And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Beth–lehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.	Et ils enlevèrent Asçaël, et l'enterrèrent dans le sépulcre de son père, qui était à Bethléhem ; et Joab et ses hommes marchèrent toute la nuit ; et il faisait jour lorsqu'ils [arrivèrent] à Hébron.	And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
