And the men of Kirjath–jearim came, and fetched up the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord. |
Et les hommes de Kiriath-Jéarim vinrent, et firent monter l'arche de l'Éternel et l'apportèrent dans la maison d'Abinadab, sur la collinea ; et ils sanctifièrent Éléazar, son fils, pour garder l'arche de l'Éternel. |

And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjath–jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord. |
☆ Et il arriva que, depuis le jour où l'arche demeura à Kiriath-Jéarim, il se passa un long temps, vingt années ; et toute la maison d'Israël se lamenta après l'Éternel. |

And it came to pass, from the day that the ark abode in Kirjath-jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after Jehovah. |
Desde el día que llegó el arca a Quiriat-jearim pasaron muchos días, veinte años; y toda la casa de Israel lamentaba en pos de Jehová. |

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. |
Et Samuel parla à toute la maison d'Israël, disant : Si de tout votre cœur vous retournez à l'Éternel, ôtez du milieu de vous les dieux étrangers, et les Ashtoreths, et attachez fermement votre cœur à l'Éternel, et servez-le lui seul ; et il vous délivrera de la main des Philistins. |

And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, If ye return to Jehovah with all your heart, put away the strange gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and apply your hearts unto Jehovah, and serve him only; and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. |
Habló Samuel a toda la casa de Israel, diciendo: Si de todo vuestro corazón os volvéis a Jehová, quitad los dioses ajenos y a Astarot de entre vosotros, y preparad vuestro corazón a Jehová, y solo a él servid, y os librará de la mano de los filisteos. |

Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the Lord only. |
Et les fils d'Israël ôtèrent les Baals et les Ashtoreths, et servirent l'Éternel seul. b |

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the Lord. |
Et Samuel dit : Assemblez tout Israël à Mitspa, et je prierai l'Éternel pour vous. |

And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the Lord. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh. |
Et ils s'assemblèrent à Mitspa, et ils puisèrent de l'eau et la répandirent devant l'Éternel ; et ils jeûnèrent ce jour-là, et dirent là : Nous avons péché contre l'Éternel. Et Samuel jugea les fils d'Israël à Mitspa. |

Y se reunieron en Mizpa, y sacaron agua, y la derramaron delante de Jehová, y ayunaron aquel día, y dijeron allí: Contra Jehová hemos pecado. Y juzgó Samuel a los hijos de Israel en Mizpa. |

And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines. |
Et les Philistins apprirent que les fils d'Israël s'étaient assemblés à Mitspa, et les princes des Philistins montèrent contre Israël ; et les fils d'Israël l'apprirent, et eurent peur des Philistins. |

And the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together at Mizpah; and the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel; and the children of Israel heard it , and were afraid of the Philistines. |
Cuando oyeron los filisteos que los hijos de Israel estaban reunidos en Mizpa, subieron los príncipes de los filisteos contra Israel; y al oír esto los hijos de Israel, tuvieron temor de los filisteos. |

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the Lord our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. |
Et les fils d'Israël dirent à Samuel : Ne cesse pas de crier pour nous à l'Éternel, notre Dieu, afin qu'il nous sauve de la main des Philistins. |

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry to Jehovah our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines. |
Entonces dijeron los hijos de Israel a Samuel: No ceses de clamar por nosotros a Jehová nuestro Dios, para que nos guarde de la mano de los filisteos. |

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him. |
Et Samuel prit un agneau de lait, et l'offrit tout entier à l'Éternel en holocauste ; et Samuel cria à l'Éternel pour Israël, et l'Éternel l'exauça. |

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. |
Comme Samuel offrait l'holocauste, les Philistins s'approchèrent pour livrer bataille à Israël ; et l'Éternel fit tonner ce jour-là un grand tonnerre sur les Philistins, et les mit en déroute, et ils furent battus devant Israël. |

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt-offering, the Philistines advanced to battle against Israel. And Jehovah thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were routed before Israel. |
Y aconteció que mientras Samuel sacrificaba el holocausto, los filisteos llegaron para pelear con los hijos de Israel. Mas Jehová tronó aquel día con gran estruendo sobre los filisteos, y los atemorizó, y fueron vencidos delante de Israel. |

And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth–car. |
Et les hommes d'Israël sortirent de Mitspa et poursuivirent les Philistins, et les frappèrent jusqu'au dessous de Beth-Car. |

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben–ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us. |
Et Samuel prit une pierre et la plaça entre Mitspa et le rocher, et il appela son nom Ében-Ézerc, et dit : L'Éternel nous a secourus jusqu'ici. |

So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel. |
Et les Philistins furent abaissés, et ils n'entrèrent plus dans les confins d'Israël ; et la main de l'Éternel fut sur les Philistins pendant tous les jours de Samuel. |

And the Philistines were subdued, and came no more into the borders of Israel; and the hand of Jehovah was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel. |
Así fueron sometidos los filisteos, y no volvieron más a entrar en el territorio de Israel; y la mano de Jehová estuvo contra los filisteos todos los días de Samuel. |

And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites. |
Et les villes que les Philistins avaient prises sur Israël retournèrent à Israël, depuis Ékron jusqu'à Gath ; et Israël délivra leur territoire de la main des Philistins. Et il y eut paix entre Israël et l'Amoréen. |
