Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord. |

And Samuel said to Saul, Jehovah sent *me* to anoint thee king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken to the voice of the words of Jehovah. |

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. |
Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées : J'ai considéré ce qu'Amalek a fait à Israël, comment il se plaça contre lui sur le chemin quand il montait d'Égypte. |

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I have considered what Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. |

Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. |

And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt. |

But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. |
Et Saül et le peuple épargnèrent Agag, et le meilleur du menu et du gros bétail, et les bêtes de la seconde portée, et les agneauxa, et tout ce qui était bon, et ils ne voulurent pas les détruire entièrement ; mais tout ce qui était misérable et chétif, cela ils le détruisirent entièrement. |

And Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep and oxen, and beasts of the second bearing, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not devote them to destruction; but everything that was mean and weak, that they destroyed utterly. |

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night. |
Je me repens d'avoir établi Saül pour roi ; car il s'est détourné deb moi et n'a point exécuté mes paroles. Et Samuel fut fort attristé, et il cria à l'Éternel toute la nuit. |

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned away from following me, and hath not fulfilled my words. And Samuel was much grieved; and he cried to Jehovah all night. |
Me pesa haber puesto por rey a Saúl, porque se ha vuelto de en pos de mí, y no ha cumplido mis palabras. Y se apesadumbró Samuel, y clamó a Jehová toda aquella noche. |

And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal. |
Et Samuel se leva de bonne heure pour aller le matin à la rencontre de Saül. Et on rapporta à Samuel, disant : Saül est allé à Carmelc ; et voici, il s'est érigé un trophée, et il s'est tourné ailleurs, et a passé plus loin, et est descendu à Guilgal. |

And Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning. And it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set him up a monument, and has turned about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal. |

And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed be thou of the Lord: I have performed the commandment of the Lord. |

And Samuel came to Saul; and Saul said to him, Blessed art thou of Jehovah: I have fulfilled the word of Jehovah. |

And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear? |
Et Samuel dit : Quel est donc ce bêlement de brebis à mes oreilles, et ce beuglement de bœufs que j'entends ? |

And Samuel said, What means then this bleating of sheep in mine ears, and the lowing of oxen which I hear? |

And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed. |
Et Saül dit : Ils les ont amenés des Amalékites, car le peuple a épargné le meilleur du menu et du gros bétail, pour sacrifier à l'Éternel, ton Dieu ; et le reste, nous l'avons détruit entièrement. |

And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites, because the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed. |
Y Saúl respondió: De Amalec los han traído; porque el pueblo perdonó lo mejor de las ovejas y de las vacas, para sacrificarlas a Jehová tu Dios, pero lo demás lo destruimos. |

Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the Lord hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on. |
Et Samuel dit à Saül : Arrête, et je te déclarerai ce que l'Éternel m'a dit cette nuit. Et il lui dit : Parle. |

And Samuel said to Saul, Stay, that I may tell thee what Jehovah has said to me this night. And he said to him, Say on. |

And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel? |
Et Samuel dit : N'est-ce pas, quand tu étais petit à tes propres yeux, tu es devenu chef des tribus d'Israël, et l'Éternel t'a oint pour roi sur Israël ? |

And Samuel said, Was it not when thou wast little in thine eyes that thou becamest the head of the tribes of Israel, and Jehovah anointed thee king over Israel? |
Y dijo Samuel: Aunque eras pequeño en tus propios ojos, ¿no has sido hecho jefe de las tribus de Israel, y Jehová te ha ungido por rey sobre Israel? |

And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed. |
Et l'Éternel t'avait envoyé par un chemin, et t'avait dit : Va et détruis entièrement ces pécheurs, les Amalékites, et fais-leur la guerre jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient consumés. |

And Jehovah sent thee on a way and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed. |

Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the Lord, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the Lord? |
Et pourquoi n'as-tu pas écouté la voix de l'Éternel, et t'es-tu jeté sur le butin, et as-tu fait ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel ? |

Why then didst thou not hearken to the voice of Jehovah, but didst fall upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of Jehovah? |

And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. |
Et Saül dit à Samuel : J'ai écouté la voix de l'Éternel, et je suis allé par le chemin par lequel l'Éternel m'a envoyé ; et j'ai amené Agag, roi d'Amalek, et j'ai entièrement détruit Amalek. |

And Saul said to Samuel, I have indeed hearkened to the voice of Jehovah, and have gone the way which Jehovah sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. |
Y Saúl respondió a Samuel: Antes bien he obedecido la voz de Jehová, y fui a la misión que Jehová me envió, y he traído a Agag rey de Amalec, y he destruido a los amalecitas. |

But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal. |
Et le peuple a pris, dans le butin, du menu et du gros bétail, comme prémices de ce qui était voué à l'exécration, pour sacrifier à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, à Guilgal. |

But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the choicest of the devoted things, to sacrifice to Jehovah thy God in Gilgal. |
Mas el pueblo tomó del botín ovejas y vacas, las primicias del anatema, para ofrecer sacrificios a Jehová tu Dios en Gilgal. |

And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. |
Et Samuel dit : L'Éternel prend-il plaisir aux holocaustes et aux sacrifices, comme à ce qu'on écoute la voix de l'Éternel ? Voici, écouterd est meilleur que sacrifice, prêter l'oreille, meilleur que la graisse des béliers ; |

And Samuel said, Has Jehovah delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices, As in hearkening to the voice of Jehovah? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, Attention than the fat of rams. |
Y Samuel dijo: ¿Se complace Jehová tanto en los holocaustos y víctimas, como en que se obedezca a las palabras de Jehová? Ciertamente el obedecer es mejor que los sacrificios, y el prestar atención que la grosura de los carneros. |

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. |
car la rébellion est comme le péché de divination, et l'obstination comme une idolâtrie et des théraphim. Parce que tu as rejeté la parole de l'Éternel, il t'a aussi rejeté comme roi. |

For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And selfwill is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, He hath also rejected thee from being king. |
Porque como pecado de adivinación es la rebelión, y como ídolos e idolatría la obstinación. Por cuanto tú desechaste la palabra de Jehová, él también te ha desechado para que no seas rey. |

And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. |
Et Saül dit à Samuel : J'ai péché, car j'ai transgressé le commandemente de l'Éternel et tes paroles, car j'ai craint le peuple et j'ai écouté leur voix. |

And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy words; for I feared the people, and hearkened to their voice. |
Entonces Saúl dijo a Samuel: Yo he pecado; pues he quebrantado el mandamiento de Jehová y tus palabras, porque temí al pueblo y consentí a la voz de ellos. Perdona, pues, ahora mi pecado, |

Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord. |
Et maintenant, pardonne, je te prie, mon péché, et retourne-t'en avec moi, et je me prosternerai devant l'Éternel. |

And now, I pray thee, forgive my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah. |
y vuelve conmigo para que adore a Jehová. |

And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. |
Et Samuel dit à Saül : Je ne retournerai point avec toi ; car tu as rejeté la parole de l'Éternel, et l'Éternel t'a rejeté pour que tu ne sois plus roi sur Israël. |

And Samuel said to Saul, I will not turn again with thee; for thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, and Jehovah has rejected thee from being king over Israel. |
Y Samuel respondió a Saúl: No volveré contigo; porque desechaste la palabra de Jehová, y Jehová te ha desechado para que no seas rey sobre Israel. |

And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. |

And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. |
Et Samuel lui dit : L'Éternel a déchiré aujourd'hui la royauté d'Israël de dessus toi, et l'a donnée à ton prochain, qui est meilleur que toi. |

Then Samuel said to him, Jehovah has rent the kingdom of Israel from thee to-day, and has given it to thy neighbour, who is better than thou. |
Entonces Samuel le dijo: Jehová ha rasgado hoy de ti el reino de Israel, y lo ha dado a un prójimo tuyo mejor que tú. |

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. |
Et aussi, la sûre Confiance d'Israël ne ment point et ne se repent point ; car il n'est pas un homme pour se repentir. |

And also the Hope of Israel will not lie nor repent; for he is not a man, that he should repent. |
Además, el que es la Gloria de Israel no mentirá, ni se arrepentirá, porque no es hombre para que se arrepienta. |

Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord thy God. |
Et [Saül] dit : J'ai péché ; honore-moi maintenant, je te prie, en la présence des anciens de mon peuple et en la présence d'Israël, et retourne-t'en avec moi, et je me prosternerai devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu. |

And he said, I have sinned; honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah thy God. |
Y él dijo: Yo he pecado; pero te ruego que me honres delante de los ancianos de mi pueblo y delante de Israel, y vuelvas conmigo para que adore a Jehová tu Dios. |

So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the Lord. |

Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past. |
Et Samuel dit : Amenez-moi Agag, roi d'Amalek. Et Agag vint à lui gaiement ; et Agag disait : Certainement l'amertume de la mort est passée. |

And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal. |
Et Samuel dit : Comme ton épée a privé d'enfants les femmes, de même, entre les femmes, ta mère sera privéef d'enfants. Et Samuel mit Agag en pièces devant l'Éternel, à Guilgal. |

And Samuel said, As thy sword has made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless above women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal. |

Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul. |

And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the Lord repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. |

And Samuel saw Saul no more until the day of his death; for Samuel mourned over Saul; and Jehovah repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. |
Y nunca después vio Samuel a Saúl en toda su vida; y Samuel lloraba a Saúl; y Jehová se arrepentía de haber puesto a Saúl por rey sobre Israel. |
