Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? |
Et Samuel prit une fiole d'huile et la versa sur la tête de Saüla, et il le baisa, et dit : L'Éternel ne t'a-t-il pas oint pour prince sur son héritage ? |

When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son? |
En t'en allant aujourd'hui d'avec moi, tu trouveras deux hommes près du sépulcre de Rachel, sur la frontière de Benjamin, à Tseltsakh, et ils te diront : Les ânesses que tu étais allé chercher sont trouvées ; et voici, ton père a oublié l'affaire des ânesses, et il est en peine de vous, disant : Que ferai-je au sujet de mon fils ? |

When thou goest from me to-day, thou shalt meet two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say to thee, The asses are found which thou wentest to seek, and behold, thy father has dismissed the matter of the asses, and is anxious about you, saying, What shall I do for my son? |
Hoy, después que te hayas apartado de mí, hallarás dos hombres junto al sepulcro de Raquel, en el territorio de Benjamín, en Selsa, los cuales te dirán: Las asnas que habías ido a buscar se han hallado; tu padre ha dejado ya de inquietarse por las asnas, y está afligido por vosotros, diciendo: ¿Qué haré acerca de mi hijo? |

Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth–el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: |
Et de là tu passeras plus loin, et tu viendras au chêne de Thabor ; et là te trouveront trois hommes qui montent vers Dieu à Béthel, l'un portant trois chevreaux, l'autre portant trois gâteaux de pain, et l'autre portant une outre de vin. |

And thou shalt go on forward from thence, and shalt come to the oak of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God, to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three cakes of bread, and another carrying a flask of wine. |
Y luego que de allí sigas más adelante, y llegues a la encina de Tabor, te saldrán al encuentro tres hombres que suben a Dios en Bet-el, llevando uno tres cabritos, otro tres tortas de pan, y el tercero una vasija de vino; |

And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands. |
Et ils te demanderont comment tu te portes, et ils te donneront deux pains, et tu les prendras de leurs mains. |

After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: |
Après cela, tu viendras au coteau de Dieu, où sont des postes des Philistins ; et il arrivera qu'en entrant là, dans la ville, tu rencontreras une troupe de prophètes descendant du haut lieu, ayant devant eux un luth, un tambourin, une flûte, et une harpe, et eux-mêmes prophétisant. |

After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where are the outposts of the Philistines; and it shall come to pass, when thou comest thither, into the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with lute and tambour and pipe and harp before them; and they themselves prophesying. |
Después de esto llegarás al collado de Dios donde está la guarnición de los filisteos; y cuando entres allá en la ciudad encontrarás una compañía de profetas que descienden del lugar alto, y delante de ellos salterio, pandero, flauta y arpa, y ellos profetizando. |

And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. |
Et l'Esprit de l'Éternel te saisira, et tu prophétiseras avec eux, et tu seras changé en un autre homme. |

And the Spirit of Jehovah will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man. |
Entonces el Espíritu de Jehová vendrá sobre ti con poder, y profetizarás con ellos, y serás mudado en otro hombre. |

And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. |
Et lorsque ces signes te seront arrivés, tu feras ce qui se présentera à toi ; car Dieu est avec toi. |

And it shall be, when these signs shall come to thee, thou shalt do as thy hand shall find; for God is with thee. |
Y cuando te hayan sucedido estas señales, haz lo que te viniere a la mano, porque Dios está contigo. |

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do. |
Et tu descendras devant moi à Guilgal ; et voici, je descendrai vers toi pour offrir des holocaustes et sacrifier des sacrifices de prospérités ; tu attendras sept jours, jusqu'à ce que je vienne vers toi, et je te ferai savoir ce que tu devras faire. |

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and behold, I will come down to thee, to offer up burnt-offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings: seven days shalt thou wait, until I come to thee and inform thee what thou shalt do. |
Luego bajarás delante de mí a Gilgal; entonces descenderé yo a ti para ofrecer holocaustos y sacrificar ofrendas de paz. Espera siete días, hasta que yo venga a ti y te enseñe lo que has de hacer. |

And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. |
Et il arriva que, lorsque [Saül] tourna le dos pour s'en aller d'avec Samuel, Dieu lui changea son cœur en un autre ; et tous ces signes eurent lieu ce jour-là. |

And it was so that when he turned his back to go away from Samuel, God gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. |
Aconteció luego, que al volver él la espalda para apartarse de Samuel, le mudó Dios su corazón; y todas estas señales acontecieron en aquel día. |

And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. |
Et ils arrivèrent là, au coteaub ; et voici, une troupe de prophètes [venait] à sa rencontre, et l'Esprit de Dieu le saisit, et il prophétisa au milieu d'eux. |

And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. |
Y cuando llegaron allá al collado, he aquí la compañía de los profetas que venía a encontrarse con él; y el Espíritu de Dios vino sobre él con poder, y profetizó entre ellos. |

And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? |
Et il arriva que, quand tous ceux qui l'avaient connu auparavant virent qu'ilc prophétisait avec les prophètes, les gens se dirent l'un à l'autre : Qu'est-il donc arrivé au fils de Kis ? Saül aussi est-il parmi les prophètes ? |

And it came to pass, when all that knew him before saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? |
Y aconteció que cuando todos los que le conocían antes vieron que profetizaba con los profetas, el pueblo decía el uno al otro: ¿Qué le ha sucedido al hijo de Cis? ¿Saúl también entre los profetas? |

And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets? |
Et quelqu'un de là répondit et dit : Et qui est leur père ? C'est pourquoi cela passa en proverbe : Saül aussi est-il parmi les prophètes ? |

Y alguno de allí respondió diciendo: ¿Y quién es el padre de ellos? Por esta causa se hizo proverbio: ¿También Saúl entre los profetas?a |

And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high place. |
Et quand [Saül] eut cessé de prophétiser, il vint au haut lieu. |

And when he had ended prophesying, he came to the high place. |
Y cesó de profetizar, y llegó al lugar alto. |

And Saul’s uncle said unto him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses: and when we saw that they were no where, we came to Samuel. |
Et l'oncle de Saül lui dit, à lui et à son jeune homme : Où êtes-vous allés ? Et il dit : Chercher les ânesses ; mais voyant qu'elles n'étaient nulle part, nous sommes allés vers Samuel. |

And Saul's uncle said to him and to his servant, Whither went ye? And he said, To seek the asses; and when we saw that they were nowhere, we went to Samuel. |
Un tío de Saúl dijo a él y a su criado: ¿A dónde fuisteis? Y él respondió: A buscar las asnas; y como vimos que no aparecían, fuimos a Samuel. |

And Saul’s uncle said, Tell me, I pray thee, what Samuel said unto you. |

And Saul said unto his uncle, He told us plainly that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, whereof Samuel spake, he told him not. |
Et Saül dit à son oncle : Il nous a déclaré expressément que les ânesses étaient trouvées. Mais quant à l'affaire du royaume, dont Samuel avait parlé, il ne la lui déclara pas. |

And Saul said to his uncle, He told us for certain that the asses were found. But of the matter of the kingdom, of which Samuel had spoken, he told him not. |
Y Saúl respondió a su tío: Nos declaró expresamente que las asnas habían sido halladas. Mas del asunto del reino, de que Samuel le había hablado, no le descubrió nada. |

And Samuel called the people together unto the Lord to Mizpeh; |
Et Samuel convoqua le peuple devant l'Éternel à Mitspa. |

And Samuel called the people together to Jehovah to Mizpah. |
Después Samuel convocó al pueblo delante de Jehová en Mizpa, |

And said unto the children of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all kingdoms, and of them that oppressed you: |
Et il dit aux fils d'Israël : Ainsi a dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Moi, j'ai fait monter Israël hors d'Égypte, et je vous ai délivrés de la main des Égyptiens et de la main de tous les royaumes qui vous opprimaient ; |

And he said to the children of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, *I* brought up Israel out of Egypt, and delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all the kingdoms that oppressed you; |
y dijo a los hijos de Israel: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Yo saqué a Israel de Egipto, y os libré de mano de los egipcios, y de mano de todos los reinos que os afligieron. |

And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your thousands. |
et vous, aujourd'hui, vous avez rejeté votre Dieu, lui qui vous a sauvés de tous vos maux et de toutes vos détresses, et vous lui avez dit : [Non], mais établis un roi sur nous. Et maintenant, tenez-vous devant l'Éternel, selon vos tribus et selon vos milliers. |

Pero vosotros habéis desechado hoy a vuestro Dios, que os guarda de todas vuestras aflicciones y angustias, y habéis dicho: No, sino pon rey sobre nosotros. Ahora, pues, presentaos delante de Jehová por vuestras tribus y por vuestros millares. |

And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken. |
Et Samuel fit approcher toutes les tribus d'Israël, et la tribu de Benjamin fut prise ; |

When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found. |
et il fit approcher la tribu de Benjamin selon ses familles, et la famille de Matri fut prise ; et Saül, fils de Kis, fut pris : et on le chercha, mais on ne le trouva pas. |

And he caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, and the family of Matri was taken; and Saul the son of Kish was taken. And they sought him, but he was not to be found. |
E hizo llegar la tribu de Benjamín por sus familias, y fue tomada la familia de Matri; y de ella fue tomado Saúl hijo de Cis. Y le buscaron, pero no fue hallado. |

Therefore they enquired of the Lord further, if the man should yet come thither. And the Lord answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff. |
Et ils interrogèrent encore l'Éternel : L'homme viendra-t-il encore ici ? Et l'Éternel dit : Voici, il s'est caché parmi les bagages. |

Therefore they inquired of Jehovah further, Will the man yet come hither? And Jehovah answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the baggage. |
Preguntaron, pues, otra vez a Jehová si aún no había venido allí aquel varón. Y respondió Jehová: He aquí que él está escondido entre el bagaje. |

And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward. |
Et ils coururent, et le prirent de là ; et il se tint au milieu du peuple, et il était plus grand que tout le peuple, depuis les épaules en haut. |

And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the Lord hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king. |
Et Samuel dit à tout le peuple : Voyez-vous celui que l'Éternel a choisi ? Il n'y en a point comme lui dans tout le peuple. Et tout le peuple poussa des cris, et dit : Vive le roi ! |

And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom Jehovah has chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted and said, May the king live. |
Y Samuel dijo a todo el pueblo: ¿Habéis visto al que ha elegido Jehová, que no hay semejante a él en todo el pueblo? Entonces el pueblo clamó con alegría, diciendo: ¡Viva el rey! |

Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. |
Et Samuel dit au peuple le droit du royaume, et il l'écrivit dans un livre, et le posa devant l'Éternel. Et Samuel renvoya tout le peuple, chacun à sa maison. |

And Samuel told the people the right of the kingdom, and wrote it in the book, and laid it before Jehovah. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house. |
Samuel recitó luego al pueblo las leyes del reino, y las escribió en un libro, el cual guardó delante de Jehová. |

And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. |
Et Saül aussi s'en alla à sa maison, à Guibha ; et la troupe de ceux dont Dieu avait touché le cœur alla avec lui. |

But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace. |

Pero algunos perversos dijeron: ¿Cómo nos ha de salvar este? Y le tuvieron en poco, y no le trajeron presente; mas él disimuló. |
