1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. ☆ Et Anne pria, et dit :
Mon cœur s'égaie en l'Éternel ; ma corne est élevée ena l'Éternel ; ma bouche s'ouvre sur mes ennemis, car je me réjouis en ton salut. 2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. Ne multipliez pas vos paroles hautaines ; que l'insolence ne sorte pas de votre bouche ; car l'Éternel est un ∗Dieu de connaissance, et par lui les actions sont pesées. Do not multiply your words of pride, let not vain-glory come out of your mouth; For Jehovah is a *God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. No multipliquéis palabras de grandeza y altanería;
Cesen las palabras arrogantes de vuestra boca;
Porque el Dios de todo saber es Jehová,

5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. Ceux qui étaient rassasiés se sont loués pour du pain ; et ceux qui étaient affamés ont cessé de l'être ; même la stérile en enfante sept, et celle qui avait beaucoup de fils est devenue languissante. 6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. L'Éternel fait mourir et fait vivre ; il fait descendre au shéolb et [en] fait monter. Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive; he bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up. Jehová mata, y él da vida;

7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. L'Éternel appauvrit et enrichit ; il abaisse, et il élève aussi. Jehovah maketh poor, and maketh rich, he bringeth low, also he lifteth up: Jehová empobrece, y él enriquece;
Abate, y enaltece.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. Il garde les pieds de ses saintsc, et les méchants se taisent dans les ténèbres ; car l'homme ne prévaut pasd par sa force. 10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed. Ceux qui contestent contre l'Éternel seront brisés ; il tonnera sur eux dans les cieux. L'Éternel jugera les bouts de la terre, et il donnera la force à son roi, et élèvera la corne de son oint. They that strive with Jehovah shall be broken to pieces; in the heavens will he thunder upon them. Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth; and he will give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed. Delante de Jehová serán quebrantados sus adversarios,

11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the Lord before Eli the priest. Et Elkana s'en alla à Rama, dans sa maison ; et le jeune garçon servait l'Éternel en la présence d'Éli, le sacrificateur. And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. 12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord. ☆ Et les fils d'Éli étaient des fils de Bélial, ils ne connaissaient pas l'Éternel. Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not Jehovah. Los hijos de Elí eran hombres impíos, y no tenían conocimiento de Jehová.
13 And the priests’ custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; Et la coutume des sacrificateurs à l'égard du peuple [était celle-ci] : quand quelqu'un sacrifiait un sacrifice, le serviteure du sacrificateur venait, lorsqu'on faisait bouillir la chair, ayant en sa main une fourchette à trois dents, And the priests' custom with the people was, when any man sacrificed a sacrifice, the priest's servant came, when the flesh was cooked, with a flesh-hook of three prongs in his hand; Y era costumbre de los sacerdotes con el pueblo, que cuando alguno ofrecía sacrificio, venía el criado del sacerdote mientras se cocía la carne, trayendo en su mano un garfio de tres dientes,
14 And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither. et il piquait dans la chaudière, ou dans le chaudron, ou dans la marmite, ou dans le pot : le sacrificateur en prenait tout ce que la fourchette amenait en haut. Ils faisaient ainsi à tous ceux d'Israël qui venaient là, à Silo. and he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or cauldron, or pot; the priest took of it all that the flesh-hook brought up. 15 Also before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw. Même, avant qu'on eût fait fumer la graisse, le serviteure du sacrificateur venait, et disait à l'homme qui sacrifiait : Donne de la chair à rôtir pour le sacrificateur ; et il ne prendra pas de toi de la chair bouillie, mais [de la chair] crue. Even before they burned the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest, and he will not accept sodden flesh of thee, but raw. Asimismo, antes de quemar la grosura, venía el criado del sacerdote, y decía al que sacrificaba: Da carne que asar para el sacerdote; porque no tomará de ti carne cocida, sino cruda.
16 And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force. Si l'homme lui disait : On va d'abord faire fumer la graisse, puis tu prendras selon le désir de ton âme, alors il [lui] disait : Non, car tu en donneras maintenant ; sinon, j'en prendrai de force. If the man said to him, They will immediately burn the fat entire, then take as thy soul desires; he would say to him , No, but thou shalt give it now; and if not, I will take it by force. Y si el hombre le respondía: Quemen la grosura primero, y después toma tanto como quieras; él respondía: No, sino dámela ahora mismo; de otra manera yo la tomaré por la fuerza.
17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord. Et le péché de ces jeunes hommes fut très-grand devant l'Éternel ; car les hommes méprisaient l'offrandef de l'Éternel. And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for men despised the offering of Jehovah. Era, pues, muy grande delante de Jehová el pecado de los jóvenes; porque los hombres menospreciaban las ofrendas de Jehová.
18 But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child, girded with a linen ephod. Et Samuel servait devant l'Éternel, jeune garçon, ceint d'un éphod de lin. And Samuel ministered before Jehovah, a boy girded with a linen ephod. Y el joven Samuel ministraba en la presencia de Jehová, vestido de un efod de lino.
19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, Jehovah give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to Jehovah. And they went to their own home. Y Elí bendijo a Elcana y a su mujer, diciendo: Jehová te dé hijos de esta mujer en lugar del que pidió a Jehová. Y se volvieron a su casa.
21 And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord. Et l'Éternel visita Anne, et elle conçut, et enfanta trois fils et deux filles ; et le jeune garçon Samuel grandissait auprès de l'Éternel. So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived, and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew before Jehovah. Y visitó Jehová a Ana, y ella concibió, y dio a luz tres hijos y dos hijas. Y el joven Samuel crecía delante de Jehová.
22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Et Éli était fort âgé, et il apprit tout ce que ses fils faisaient à l'égard de tout Israël, et qu'ils couchaient avec les femmes qui servaienth à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation. And Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and that they lay with the women that served at the entrance of the tent of meeting. Pero Elí era muy viejo; y oía de todo lo que sus hijos hacían con todo Israel, y cómo dormían con las mujeres que velaban a la puerta del tabernáculo de reunión.
23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people. Et il leur dit : Pourquoi faites-vous des actions comme celles-là ? Car, de tout le peuple, j'apprends vos méchantes actions. And he said to them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil deeds from all this people. Y les dijo: ¿Por qué hacéis cosas semejantes? Porque yo oigo de todo este pueblo vuestros malos procederes.
24 Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress. Non, mes fils ; car ce que j'entends dire n'est pas bon : vous entraînez à la transgression le peuple de l'Éternel. No, my sons, for it is no good report that I hear: ye make Jehovah's people transgress. No, hijos míos, porque no es buena fama la que yo oigo; pues hacéis pecar al pueblo de Jehová.
25 If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them. Si un homme a péché contre un homme, Dieu le jugerai ; mais si un homme pèche contre l'Éternel, qui priera pour lui ? Mais ils n'écoutèrent pas la voix de leur père, car c'était le bon plaisir de l'Éternel de les faire mourir. If one man sin against another, God will judge him; but if a man sin against Jehovah, who shall intreat for him? But they hearkened not to the voice of their father, for Jehovah was minded to slay them. Si pecare el hombre contra el hombre, los jueces le juzgarán; mas si alguno pecare contra Jehová, ¿quién rogará por él? Pero ellos no oyeron la voz de su padre, porque Jehová había resuelto hacerlos morir.
26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men. Et le jeune garçon Samuel allait grandissant, agréable à l'Éternel et aux hommes. 27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? Et un homme de Dieu vint vers Éli, et lui dit : Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Je me suis clairement révélé à la maison de ton père, quand ils étaient en Égypte dans la maison du Pharaon, And there came a man of God to Eli and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah: Did I plainly reveal myself to the house of thy father when they were in Egypt, in Pharaoh's house, Y vino un varón de Dios a Elí, y le dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿No me manifesté yo claramente a la casa de tu padre, cuando estaban en Egipto en casa de Faraón?
28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? et je l'ai choisi d'entre toutes les tribus d'Israël, pour être mon sacrificateur, pour offrirj [des sacrifices] sur mon autel, pour faire fumer l'encens, pour porter l'éphod devant moi ; et j'ai donné à la maison de ton père tous les sacrifices des fils d'Israël faits par feu. and choose him out of all the tribes of Israel, to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear the ephod before me? and I gave unto the house of thy father all the offerings by fire of the children of Israel. Y yo le escogí por mi sacerdote entre todas las tribus de Israel, para que ofreciese sobre mi altar, y quemase incienso, y llevase efod delante de mí;b y di a la casa de tu padre todas las ofrendas de los hijos de Israel.c
29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people? Pourquoi foulez-vous aux pieds mon sacrifice et mon offrande, que j'ai commandé [de faire] dans ma demeure ? Et tu honores tes fils plus que moi, pour vous engraisser des prémices de toutes les offrandes d'Israël, mon peuple. Wherefore do ye trample upon my sacrifice and upon mine oblation which I have commanded in my habitation? And thou honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the primest of all the oblations of Israel my people. ¿Por qué habéis hollado mis sacrificios y mis ofrendas, que yo mandé ofrecer en el tabernáculo; y has honrado a tus hijos más que a mí, engordándoos de lo principal de todas las ofrendas de mi pueblo Israel?
30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. C'est pourquoi l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, ditk : J'avais bien dit : Ta maison et la maison de ton père marcheront devant moi à toujours ; mais maintenant l'Éternel ditk : Que cela soit loin de moi ; car ceux qui m'honorent, je les honorerai ; et ceux qui me méprisent seront en petite estime. Wherefore Jehovah the God of Israel saith, I said indeed, Thy house and the house of thy father should walk before me for ever. But now Jehovah saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house. Voici, les jours viennent que je couperai ton bras et le bras de la maison de ton père, de sorte qu'il n'y aura plus de vieillard dans ta maison. He aquí, vienen días en que cortaré tu brazo y el brazo de la casa de tu padre, de modo que no haya anciano en tu casa.
32 And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever. Et tu verras un adversaire [établi dans ma] demeure, dans tout lel bien qui aura été fait à Israël ; et il n'y aura plus de vieillard dans ta maison à jamais. And thou shalt see an oppressor in my habitation, amidst all the good that shall be done to Israel; and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever. Verás tu casa humillada, mientras Dios colma de bienes a Israel; y en ningún tiempo habrá anciano en tu casa.
33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age. Et celui des tiens que je ne retrancherai pas d'auprès de mon autel, sera pour consumer tes yeux et attrister ton âme ; et tout l'accroissement de ta maison : — ils mourront à la fleur de l'âge. And the man of thine whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to cause thine eyes to fail and to grieve thy soul; and all the increase of thy house shall die in their vigour. El varón de los tuyos que yo no corte de mi altar, será para consumir tus ojos y llenar tu alma de dolor; y todos los nacidos en tu casa morirán en la edad viril.
34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. Et ceci t'en sera le signe : ce qui arrivera à tes deux fils, Hophni et Phinées ; ils mourront tous deux en un seul jour. And this shall be the sign to thee, which shall come upon thy two sons, upon Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them. Y te será por señal esto que acontecerá a tus dos hijos, Ofni y Finees: ambos morirán en un día.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. Et je me susciterai un sacrificateur fidèle : il fera selon ce qui est dans mon cœur et dans mon âme, et je lui bâtirai une maison stable, et il marchera toujours devant mon oint. And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who shall do according to what is in my heart and in my mind; and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed continually. Y yo me suscitaré un sacerdote fiel, que haga conforme a mi corazón y a mi alma; y yo le edificaré casa firme, y andará delante de mi ungido todos los días.
36 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread. Et il arrivera que quiconque restera de ta maison viendra et se prosternera devant lui, pour avoir une pièce d'argent et un rond de pain, et dira : Place-moi, je te prie, dansm quelqu'une des charges de la sacrificature, afin que je mange une bouchée de pain ! And it shall come to pass that every one that is left of thy house shall come to crouch to him for a small piece of silver and for a cake of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priestly offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread. Y el que hubiere quedado en tu casa vendrá a postrarse delante de él por una moneda de plata y un bocado de pan, diciéndole: Te ruego que me agregues a alguno de los ministerios, para que pueda comer un bocado de pan.
