And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life? |
Et David s'enfuit de Naïoth, en Rama, et vint, et dit devant Jonathan : Qu'ai-je fait ? Quelle est mon iniquité, et quel est mon péché devant ton père, qu'il cherche ma vie ? |

And David fled from Naioth by Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity, and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeks my life? |

And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so. |
Et [Jonathan] lui dit : Qu'ainsi n'advienne ! tu ne mourras point. Voici, mon père ne fait aucune chose, ni grande, ni petite, qu'il ne me la découvre ; et pourquoi mon père me cacherait-il cette chose-là ? Il n'en est rien. |

And he said to him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, and not apprise me; and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so. |
Él le dijo: En ninguna manera; no morirás. He aquí que mi padre ninguna cosa hará, grande ni pequeña, que no me la descubra; ¿por qué, pues, me ha de encubrir mi padre este asunto? No será así. |

And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death. |
Et David jura encore et dit : Ton père sait très-bien que j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, et il aura dit : Que Jonathan ne sache point cela, de peur qu'il n'en soit attristé. Mais l'Éternel est vivant, et ton âme est vivante, qu'il n'y a qu'un pas entre moi et la mort ! |

And David swore again and again, and said, Thy father certainly knows that I have found favour in thy sight: and he has thought, Jonathan shall not know this, lest he be grieved; but truly as Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death. |
Y David volvió a jurar diciendo: Tu padre sabe claramente que yo he hallado gracia delante de tus ojos, y dirá: No sepa esto Jonatán, para que no se entristezca; y ciertamente, vive Jehová y vive tu alma, que apenas hay un paso entre mí y la muerte. |

Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee. |

And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even. |
Et David dit à Jonathan : Voici, c'est demain la nouvelle lune, et je devrai m'asseoir auprès du roi pour manger ; laisse-moi donc aller, et je me cacherai dans les champs jusqu'au troisième soir. |

And David said to Jonathan, Behold, to-morrow is new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat; but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field until the third evening. |
Y David respondió a Jonatán: He aquí que mañana será nueva luna,a y yo acostumbro sentarme con el rey a comer; mas tú dejarás que me esconda en el campo hasta la tarde del tercer día. |

If thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Beth–lehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family. |
Si ton père s'aperçoit de mon absence, tu diras : David m'a demandé instamment de courir à Bethléhem, sa ville, car il y a là un sacrifice annuel pour toute la famille. |

If thy father should actually miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city; for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family. |
Si tu padre hiciere mención de mí, dirás: Me rogó mucho que lo dejase ir corriendo a Belén su ciudad, porque todos los de su familia celebran allá el sacrificio anual. |

Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the Lord with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father? |
Use donc de bonté envers ton serviteur, car tu as fait entrer ton serviteur dans une alliance de l'Éternel avec toi ; et s'il y a de l'iniquité en moi, fais-moi mourir toi-même ; et pourquoi me mènerais-tu vers ton père ? |

Deal kindly then with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of Jehovah with thee; but if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father? |
Harás, pues, misericordia con tu siervo, ya que has hecho entrar a tu siervo en pacto de Jehová contigo; y si hay maldad en mí, mátame tú, pues no hay necesidad de llevarme hasta tu padre. |

And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee: for if I knew certainly that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee? |
Et Jonathan dit : Loin de toi [une telle pensée] ; car si je savais certainement que mon père fût décidé à faire venir le mal sur toi, ne t'en informerais-je pas ? |

And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee; for, if I knew with certainty that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, would I not tell it thee? |
Y Jonatán le dijo: Nunca tal te suceda; antes bien, si yo supiere que mi padre ha determinado maldad contra ti, ¿no te lo avisaría yo? |

Then said David to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? or what if thy father answer thee roughly? |

And Jonathan said unto David, O Lord God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee; |
Et Jonathan dit à David : Éternel, Dieu d'Israël ! quand j'aurai sondé mon père demain à cette heure, ou après-demain, s'il y a quelque chose de bon pour David, et qu'alors je n'envoie pas vers toi et ne te le découvre pas, |

And Jonathan said to David, Jehovah, God of Israel, when I sound my father about this time to-morrow, or the next day, and behold, there be good toward David, and I then send not to thee, and apprise thee of it, |
Entonces dijo Jonatán a David: ¡Jehová Dios de Israel, sea testigo! Cuando le haya preguntado a mi padre mañana a esta hora, o el día tercero, si resultare bien para con David, entonces enviaré a ti para hacértelo saber. |

The Lord do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the Lord be with thee, as he hath been with my father. |
que l'Éternel fasse ainsi à Jonathan, et ainsi y ajoute ! S'il semble bon à mon père de te faire du mal, je te le ferai savoir, et je te laisserai aller, et tu t'en iras en paix. Et que l'Éternel soit avec toi, comme il a été avec mon père. |

Jehovah do so and much more to Jonathan. Should it please my father to do thee evil, then I will apprise thee of it, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace; and Jehovah be with thee, as he has been with my father. |
Pero si mi padre intentare hacerte mal, Jehová haga así a Jonatán, y aun le añada, si no te lo hiciere saber y te enviare para que te vayas en paz. Y esté Jehová contigo, como estuvo con mi padre. |

And thou shalt not only while yet I live shew me the kindness of the Lord, that I die not: |
Et n'est-ce pas ? si je suis encore vivant, — n'est-ce pas, tu useras envers moi de la bonté de l'Éternel, et je ne mourrai point ; |

But also thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the Lord hath cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth. |
et tu ne retireras point ta bonté de ma maison, à jamais, non pas même lorsque l'Éternel retranchera chacun des ennemis de David de dessus la face de la terre ? |

but thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever, no, not when Jehovah cuts off the enemies of David, every one from the face of the earth. |
y no apartarás tu misericordia de mi casa para siempre.b Cuando Jehová haya cortado uno por uno los enemigos de David de la tierra, no dejes que el nombre de Jonatán sea quitado de la casa de David. |

So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the Lord even require it at the hand of David’s enemies. |
Et Jonathan fit alliance avec la maison de David : Que l'Éternel le redemande de la main des ennemis de David ! |

And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul. |

Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty. |
Et Jonathan lui dit : C'est demain la nouvelle lune, et on s'apercevra que tu manques, car ton siège sera vide. |

Luego le dijo Jonatán: Mañana es nueva luna, y tú serás echado de menos, porque tu asiento estará vacío. |

And when thou hast stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself when the business was in hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel. |
Et le troisième joura, tu descendras en hâte, et tu viendras au lieu où tu t'étais caché le jour de l'affaire, et tu demeureras près de la pierre d'Ézel. |

but on the third day thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself on the day of the business, and abide by the stone Ezel. |
Estarás, pues, tres días, y luego descenderás y vendrás al lugar donde estabas escondido el día que ocurrió esto mismo, y esperarás junto a la piedra de Ezel. |

And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark. |
Et moi, je tirerai trois flèches du côté de cette pierreb, comme si je tirais vers un but : |

And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the Lord liveth. |
et voici, j'enverrai le jeune garçon [en disant] : Va, trouve les flèches. Si je dis expressément au jeune garçon : Voici, les flèches sont en deçà de toi, prends-les ; alors viens, car il y a paix pour toi, et il n'y a rien, l'Éternel est vivant ! |

And behold, I will send the lad, saying, Go, find the arrows. If I expressly say to the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come, for there is peace for thee, and it is nothing; as Jehovah liveth. |
Luego enviaré al criado, diciéndole: Ve, busca las saetas. Y si dijere al criado: He allí las saetas más acá de ti, tómalas; tú vendrás, porque paz tienes, y nada malo hay, vive Jehová. |

But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the Lord hath sent thee away. |
Et si je dis ainsi au jeune homme : Voici, les flèches sont au delà de toi ; va, car l'Éternel te renvoie. |

And as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, the Lord be between thee and me for ever. |

So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat. |

And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul’s side, and David’s place was empty. |
Et le roi s'assit sur son siège comme les autres fois, sur le siège contre la paroi ; et Jonathan se leva, et Abner s'assit à côté de Saül, et la place de David était vide. |

And the king sat on his seat, as at other times, on the seat by the wall; and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's place was empty. |

Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean. |

And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David’s place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day? |
Et le lendemain de la nouvelle lune, le second jour, comme la place de David était vide, Saül dit à Jonathan, son fils : Pourquoi le fils d'Isaï n'est-il venu au repas ni hier ni aujourd'hui ? |

And it came to pass the next day after the new moon, the second day of the month , as David's place was empty, that Saul said to Jonathan his son, Why has not the son of Jesse come to table, neither yesterday nor to-day? |
Al siguiente día, el segundo día de la nueva luna, aconteció también que el asiento de David quedó vacío. Y Saúl dijo a Jonatán su hijo: ¿Por qué no ha venido a comer el hijo de Isaí hoy ni ayer? |

And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king’s table. |
et il m'a dit : Laisse-moi aller, je te prie, car nous avons un sacrifice de famille dans la ville, et mon frère même m'a commandé [de m'y trouver] ; et maintenant, je te prie, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, je me sauverai, et je verrai mes frères. C'est pourquoi il n'est pas venu à la table du roi. |

and said, Let me go, I pray thee; for we have a family sacrifice in the city; and my brother himself has commanded me to be there ; and now, if I have found favour in thy sight, let me go away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. He has therefore not come to the king's table. |
diciendo: Te ruego que me dejes ir, porque nuestra familia celebra sacrificio en la ciudad, y mi hermano me lo ha mandado; por lo tanto, si he hallado gracia en tus ojos, permíteme ir ahora para visitar a mis hermanos. Por esto, pues, no ha venido a la mesa del rey. |

Then Saul’s anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother’s nakedness? |
Et la colère de Saül s'embrasa contre Jonathan, et il lui dit : Fils de la [femme] perverse et rebelle, ne sais-je pas que tu as choisi le fils d'Isaï à ta honte et à la honte de la nudité de ta mère ? |

And Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, Son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own shame and to the shame of thy mother's nakedness? |
Entonces se encendió la ira de Saúl contra Jonatán, y le dijo: Hijo de la perversa y rebelde, ¿acaso no sé yo que tú has elegido al hijo de Isaí para confusión tuya, y para confusión de la vergüenza de tu madre? |

For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die. |
Car tous les jours que le fils d'Isaï sera vivant sur la terre, tu ne seras pas établi, ni toi ni ton règne ; et maintenant, envoie, et amène-le-moi ; car il mourra certainementc. |

For as long as the son of Jesse lives upon earth, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. And now send and fetch him to me, for he must die. |
Porque todo el tiempo que el hijo de Isaí viviere sobre la tierra, ni tú estarás firme, ni tu reino. Envía pues, ahora, y tráemelo, porque ha de morir. |

And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done? |
Et Jonathan répondit à Saül, son père, et lui dit : Pourquoi serait-il mis à mort ? Qu'a-t-il fait ? |

And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David. |
Et Saül jeta sa lance contre lui pour le frapper. Et Jonathan connut que c'était chose décidée de la part de son père, de faire mourir David. |

Then Saul cast the spear at him to smite him; and Jonathan knew that it was determined by his father to put David to death. |

So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame. |

And Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and ate no meat the second day of the new moon; for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame. |

And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him. |

And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him. |

And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee? |
Et le garçon vint au lieu où était la flèche que Jonathan avait tirée, et Jonathan cria après le garçon, et dit : La flèche n'est-elle pas au delà de toi ? |

And when the lad came to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad and said, Is not the arrow away beyond thee? |
Y llegando el muchacho adonde estaba la saeta que Jonatán había tirado, Jonatán dio voces tras el muchacho, diciendo: ¿No está la saeta más allá de ti? |

And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan’s lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master. |

But the lad knew not any thing: only Jonathan and David knew the matter. |

And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. |
[Et] le garçon s'en alla ; et David se leva du côté du midi, et tomba, sa face contre terre, et se prosterna par trois fois ; et ils se baisèrent l'un l'autre et pleurèrent l'un avec l'autre, jusqu'à ce que les pleurs de David devinrent excessifs. |

The lad went, and David arose from the side of the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times; and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. |

And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the Lord, saying, The Lord be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city. |
Et Jonathan dit à David : Va en paix, selon que nous avons juré, nous deux, au nom de l'Éternel, disant : L'Éternel sera entre moi et toi, et entre ma semence et ta semence, à toujours ! |
