Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel, ☆ Saül était âgé de … ans lorsqu'il devint roi ; et il régna deux ans sur Israël. Saul was...years old when he became king; and he reigned two years over Israel.
Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Beth–el, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent. And Saul chose him three thousand men out of Israel: there were with Saul two thousand in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent. escogió luego a tres mil hombres de Israel, de los cuales estaban con Saúl dos mil en Micmas y en el monte de Bet-el, y mil estaban con Jonatán en Gabaa de Benjamín; y envió al resto del pueblo cada uno a sus tiendas.
And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear. And Jonathan smote the outpost of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it . And Saul blew the trumpet throughout the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.
And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel also was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal. And all Israel heard say, Saul has smitten the garrison of the Philistines, and Israel also has become odious to the Philistines. And the people were called together after Saul to Gilgal.
And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Beth–aven. And the Philistines were assembled together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea-shore in multitude; and they came up, and encamped in Michmash, eastward from Beth-Aven.
When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits. And the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait (for the people were distressed); and the people hid themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in cliffs, and in strongholds, and in pits.
And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. And the Hebrews went over the Jordan into the land of Gad and Gilead. And Saul was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And he waited seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed ; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. And Saul said, Bring hither to me the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings. And he offered up the burnt-offering. Entonces dijo Saúl: Traedme holocausto y ofrendas de paz. Y ofreció el holocausto.
And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. And it came to pass, as soon as he had ended offering up the burnt-offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; Et Samuel dit : Qu'as-tu fait ? And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou didst not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines were assembled at Michmash, Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Qué has hecho?
Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. j'ai dit : Maintenant les Philistins descendront contre moi à Guilgal, et je n'ai pas supplié l'Éternel. I said, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to Jehovah; and I forced myself, and offered up the burnt-offering. me dije: Ahora descenderán los filisteos contra mí a Gilgal, y yo no he implorado el favor de Jehová. Me esforcé, pues, y ofrecí holocausto.
And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the Lord have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. Et Samuel dit à Saül : Tu as agi follement, tu n'as pas gardé le commandement de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, qu'il t'avait ordonné ; car maintenant l'Éternel aurait établi pour toujours ton règne sur Israël ; And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God which he commanded thee; for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom over Israel for ever.
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee. et maintenant ton règne ne subsistera pas : l'Éternel s'est cherché un homme selon son cœur, et l'Éternel l'a établia prince sur son peuple, car tu n'as pas gardé ce que l'Éternel t'avait commandé. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: Jehovah has sought him a man after his own heart, and Jehovah has appointed him ruler over his people; for thou hast not kept what Jehovah commanded thee.
And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men. And Samuel arose and went up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were found with him, about six hundred men.
And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Gibeah of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash. And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were found with them, abode in Geba of Benjamin; and the Philistines encamped in Michmash.
And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual: Et les ravageurs sortirent du camp des Philistins en trois corps : un corps prit le chemin d'Ophra, vers le pays de Shual, And the ravagers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned the way of Ophrah, into the land of Shual; Y salieron merodeadores del campamento de los filisteos en tres escuadrones; un escuadrón marchaba por el camino de Ofra hacia la tierra de Sual,
And another company turned the way to Beth–horon: and another company turned to the way of the border that looketh to the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness. et un corps prit le chemin de Beth-Horon, et un corps prit le chemin de la frontière qui regarde la vallée de Tseboïm, vers le désert. and another company turned the way to Beth-horon; and the other company turned the way to the district that looks over the ravine of Zeboim toward the wilderness. otro escuadrón marchaba hacia Bet-horón, y el tercer escuadrón marchaba hacia la región que mira al valle de Zeboim, hacia el desierto.
Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears: Et il ne se trouvait pas de forgeron dans tout le pays d'Israël ; car les Philistins avaient dit : Que les Hébreux ne puissent faire ni épée ni lance. Now there was no smith found throughout the land of Israel; for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears.
But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock. Et tout Israël descendait vers les Philistins pour aiguiser chacun son soc, et sa houe, et sa hache, et sa faucille, And all Israel went down to the Philistines, every man to get his ploughshare, and his hoe, and his axe, and his sickle sharpened, Por lo cual todos los de Israel tenían que descender a los filisteos para afilar cada uno la reja de su arado, su azadón, su hacha o su hoz.
Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads. lorsque le tranchant des faucilles et des houes et des tridents et des haches était émoussé, et pour redresser un aiguillon. when the edges of the sickles, and the hoes, and the forks, and the axes were blunted; and to set the goads.
So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found. And it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan; but with Saul and with Jonathan his son there was found.
And the garrison of the Philistines went out to the passage of Michmash. And a garrison of the Philistines went out to the passage of Michmash.
