What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge? |
Que voulez-vous dire, vous qui usez de ce proverbe dansa la terre d'Israël, disant : Les pères mangent du raisin vert, et les dents des fils en sont agacées ? |

¿Qué pensáis vosotros, los que usáis este refrán sobre la tierra de Israel, que dice: Los padres comieron las uvas agrias, y los dientes de los hijos tienen la dentera?a |

As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. |
Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si vous usez encore de ce proverbe en Israël ! |

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. |
Voici, toutes les âmes sont à moi ; comme l'âme du père, ainsi aussi l'âme du fils est à moi : l'âme qui péchera, celle-là mourra. |

But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, |

And if a man be righteous, and do judgment and justice: |
Y el hombre que fuere justo, e hiciere según el derecho y la justicia; |

And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman, |
s'il n'a pas mangé sur les montagnes, et s'il n'a pas levé ses yeux vers les idoles de la maison d'Israël, et n'a pas rendu impure la femme de son prochain, et ne s'est pas approché d'une femme pendant sa séparation, |

--he hath not eaten upon the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, nor come near to a woman in her separation, |
que no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos a los ídolos de la casa de Israel, ni violare la mujer de su prójimo, ni se llegare a la mujer menstruosa, |

And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; |
et s'il n'a opprimé personne ; s'il a rendu le gage de sa créance, n'a pas commis de rapine, a donné son pain à celui qui avait faim, et a couvert d'un vêtement celui qui était nu ; |

and hath not oppressed any; he hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath not exercised robbery, hath given his bread to the hungry, and covered the naked with a garment; |
ni oprimiere a ninguno; que al deudor devolviere su prenda, que no cometiere robo, y que diere de su pan al hambriento y cubriere al desnudo con vestido, |

He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, |
s'il n'a pas donné à intérêt, et n'a pas pris d'usure ; s'il a détourné sa main de l'iniquité, a rendu un jugement justeb entre homme et homme, a marché dans mes statuts, |

he hath not given forth upon usury, nor taken increase; he hath withdrawn his hand from unrighteousness, hath executed true judgment between man and man, |
que no prestare a interés ni tomare usura; que de la maldad retrajere su mano, e hiciere juicio verdadero entre hombre y hombre, |

Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God. |
et a gardé mes ordonnances pour agir fidèlement, celui-là est juste : certainement il vivra, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. |

en mis ordenanzas caminare, y guardare mis decretos para hacer rectamente, este es justo; este vivirá,b dice Jehová el Señor. |

If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things, |
Et s'il a engendré un fils qui soit un homme violent, qui verse le sang, et qui fasse seulement l'une de ces choses, |

And if he have begotten a son that is violent, a shedder of blood, and that doeth only one of any of these things , |
Mas si engendrare hijo ladrón, derramador de sangre, o que haga alguna cosa de estas, |

And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife, |
et de ces autres choses n'en fasse aucune, — qui aussi a mangé sur les montagnes, a rendu impure la femme de son prochain, |

Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination, |
a foulé l'affligé et le pauvre, a commis des rapines, n'a pas rendu le gage, a levé ses yeux vers les idoles, a commis l'abomination, |

hath oppressed the poor and needy, exercised robbery, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, committed abomination, |
al pobre y menesteroso oprimiere, cometiere robos, no devolviere la prenda, o alzare sus ojos a los ídolos e hiciere abominación, |

Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him. |
a donné à intérêt, et a pris de l'usure : vivra-t-il ? Il ne vivra pas, il a fait toutes ces abominations : certainement il mourra, son sang sera sur lui. |

prestare a interés y tomare usura; ¿vivirá este? No vivirá. Todas estas abominaciones hizo; de cierto morirá, su sangre será sobre él. |

Mais voici, s'il a engendré un fils qui voie tous les péchés que son père a commis, et qui y prenne garde, et ne fasse pas selon ces choses : |

That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour’s wife, |
il n'a pas mangé sur les montagnes, et n'a pas levé ses yeux vers les idoles de la maison d'Israël ; il n'a pas rendu impure la femme de son prochain, |

--he hath not eaten upon the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel; he hath not defiled his neighbour's wife, |
no comiere sobre los montes, ni alzare sus ojos a los ídolos de la casa de Israel; la mujer de su prójimo no violare, |

Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment, |
et n'a opprimé personne ; il n'a pas pris de gage, et n'a pas commis de rapine ; il a donné son pain à celui qui avait faim, et a couvert d'un vêtement celui qui était nu ; |

ni oprimiere a nadie, la prenda no retuviere, ni cometiere robos; al hambriento diere de su pan, y cubriere con vestido al desnudo; |

That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live. |
il a détourné sa main de dessus l'affligé, il n'a pas pris d'intérêt ni d'usure, il a pratiqué mes ordonnances [et] a marché dans mes statuts : celui-là ne mourra pas pour l'iniquité de son père ; certainement il vivra. |

he hath withdrawn his hand from the poor, hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, and walked in my statutes: he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall certainly live. |
apartare su mano del pobre, interés y usura no recibiere; guardare mis decretos y anduviere en mis ordenanzas; este no morirá por la maldad de su padre; de cierto vivirá. |

As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity. |
Quant à son père, parce qu'il a pratiqué l'extorsion, qu'il a commis des rapines contre son frère, et a fait au milieu de son peuple ce qui n'est pas bien, voici, il mourra dans son iniquité. |

As for his father, because he practised oppression, exercised robbery upon his brother, and did what was not good among his people, behold, he shall die in his iniquity. |
Su padre, por cuanto hizo agravio, despojó violentamente al hermano, e hizo en medio de su pueblo lo que no es bueno, he aquí que él morirá por su maldad. |

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live. |
Et vous direz : Pourquoi le fils ne portera-t-il pas l'iniquité de son père ? Mais le fils a pratiqué le jugement et la justice, il a gardé tous mes statuts et les a pratiqués : certainement il vivra. |

And ye say, Why doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? But the son hath done judgment and justice, hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them; he shall certainly live. |
Y si dijereis: ¿Por qué el hijo no llevará el pecado de su padre? Porque el hijo hizo según el derecho y la justicia, guardó todos mis estatutos y los cumplió, de cierto vivirá. |

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. |
L'âme qui a péché, celle-là mourra. Le fils ne portera pas l'iniquité du père, et le père ne portera pas l'iniquité du fils ; la justice du juste sera sur lui, et la méchanceté du méchant sera sur lui. |

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. |
El alma que pecare, esa morirá; el hijo no llevará el pecado del padre, ni el padre llevará el pecado del hijo;c la justicia del justo será sobre él, y la impiedad del impío será sobre él. |

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. |
Et le méchant, s'il se détourne de tous ses péchés qu'il a commis, et qu'il garde tous mes statuts, et qu'il pratique le jugement et la justice, certainement il vivra ; il ne mourra pas. |

And the wicked, if he turn from all his sins which he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do judgment and justice, he shall certainly live, he shall not die. |
Mas el impío, si se apartare de todos sus pecados que hizo, y guardare todos mis estatutos e hiciere según el derecho y la justicia, de cierto vivirá; no morirá. |

All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. |
De toutes ses transgressions qu'il aura commises, aucune ne viendra en mémoire contre lui ; dans sa justice qu'il a pratiquée, il vivra. |

None of his transgressions which he hath committed shall be remembered against him; in his righteousness which he hath done shall he live. |
Todas las transgresiones que cometió, no le serán recordadas; en su justicia que hizo vivirá. |

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? |
Est-ce que je prends plaisir à la mort du méchant ? dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel ; n'est-ce pas [plutôt] à ce qu'il se détourne de ses voies, et qu'il vive ? |

Have I any pleasure at all in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; is it not in his turning from his way, that he may live? |
¿Quiero yo la muerte del impío? dice Jehová el Señor. ¿No vivirá, si se apartare de sus caminos? |

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. |
Et si le juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l'iniquité, faisant selon toutes les abominations que le méchant commet, vivra-t-il ? De tous ses actes justes qu'il aura faits, aucun ne viendra en mémoire ; dans son iniquitéc qu'il aura commise et dans son péché qu'il a fait, en eux il mourra. |

And when the righteous turneth from his righteousness and practiseth what is wrong, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous acts which he hath done shall be remembered: in his unfaithfulness which he hath wrought, and in his sin which he hath sinned, in them shall he die. |
Mas si el justo se apartare de su justicia y cometiere maldad, e hiciere conforme a todas las abominaciones que el impío hizo, ¿vivirá él? Ninguna de las justicias que hizo le serán tenidas en cuenta; por su rebelión con que prevaricó, y por el pecado que cometió, por ello morirá. |

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? |
Et vous dites : La voie du Seigneur n'est pas réglée. Écoutez donc, maison d'Israël : Ma voie n'est-elle pas réglée ? Ne sont-ce pas vos voies qui ne sont pas réglées ? |

And ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear then, house of Israel. Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? |
Y si dijereis: No es recto el camino del Señor; oíd ahora, casa de Israel: ¿No es recto mi camino? ¿no son vuestros caminos torcidos? |

When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. |
Quand le juste se détournera de sa justice, et qu'il pratiquera l'iniquité, il mourra pour cela ; dans son iniquité qu'il aura commise, il mourra. |

When the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and practiseth what is wrong, and dieth for it; in his wrong that he hath done shall he die. |
Apartándose el justo de su justicia, y haciendo iniquidad, él morirá por ello; por la iniquidad que hizo, morirá. |

Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. |
Et quand le méchant se détournera de sa méchanceté qu'il aura commise, et qu'il pratiquera le jugement et la justice, celui-là fera vivre son âme. |

And when the wicked turneth from his wickedness which he hath committed, and doeth judgment and justice, he shall keep his soul alive. |
Y apartándose el impío de su impiedad que hizo, y haciendo según el derecho y la justicia, hará vivir su alma. |

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die. |
Puisqu'il prend garde, et se détourne de toutes ses transgressions qu'il a commises, certainement il vivra, il ne mourra point. |

Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? |
Et la maison d'Israël dit : La voie du Seigneur n'est pas réglée. Maison d'Israël ! mes voies ne sont-elles pas réglées ? Ne sont-ce pas vos voies qui ne sont pas réglées ? |

But the house of Israel say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? Is it not your ways that are unequal? |
Si aún dijere la casa de Israel: No es recto el camino del Señor; ¿no son rectos mis caminos, casa de Israel? Ciertamente, vuestros caminos no son rectos. |

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. |
C'est pourquoi je vous jugerai, chacun selon ses voies, maison d'Israël, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. Revenez, et détournez-vous de toutes vos transgressions, et l'iniquité ne vous sera pas une pierre d'achoppement. |

Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord Jehovah. Return ye, and turn from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your snare. |
Por tanto, yo os juzgaré a cada uno según sus caminos, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová el Señor. Convertíos, y apartaos de todas vuestras transgresiones, y no os será la iniquidad causa de ruina. |

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? |
Jetez loin de vous toutes vos transgressions dans lesquelles vous vous êtes rebellésd, et faites-vous un cœur nouveau et un esprit nouveau ; et pourquoi mourriez-vous, maison d'Israël ? |

Cast away from you all your transgressions wherewith ye have transgressed, and make you a new heart and a new spirit: why then will ye die, house of Israel? |
Echad de vosotros todas vuestras transgresiones con que habéis pecado, y haceos un corazón nuevo y un espíritu nuevo. ¿Por qué moriréis, casa de Israel? |

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. |
Car je ne prends point plaisir à la mort de celui qui meurt, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel. Revenez donc, et vivez. |
