Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: ☆ Manassé était âgé de douze ans lorsqu'il commença de régner ;a et il régna cinquante-cinq ans à Jérusalem. Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
But did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, like the abominations of the nations that Jehovah had dispossessed from before the children of Israel.
For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. And he built again the high places that Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars to the Baals, and made Asherahs, and worshipped all the host of heaven and served them.
Also he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever. et il bâtit des autels dans la maison de l'Éternel, de laquelle l'Éternel avait dit : C'est dans Jérusalem que sera mon nom à toujours ; And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. et il bâtit des autels à toute l'armée des cieux, dans les deux parvis de la maison de l'Éternel ; And he built altars to all the host of heaven in both courts of the house of Jehovah.
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. et il fit passer ses fils par le feu dans la vallée du fils de Hinnom ; et il pronostiquait, et pratiquait les enchantements et la magie, et il établit des évocateurs d'esprits et des diseurs de bonne aventure : il fit outre mesure ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel, pour le provoquer à colère. He also caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he used magic and divination and sorcery, and appointed necromancers and soothsayers: he wrought evil beyond measure in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.
And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever: Et il plaça une image taillée, l'idole qu'il avait faite, dans la maison de Dieu, de laquelle Dieu avait dit à David et à Salomon, son fils : C'est dans cette maison, et dans Jérusalem que j'ai choisie entre toutes les tribus d'Israël, que je mettrai mon nom à toujours ; And he set the graven image of the idol that he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever; Además de esto puso una imagen fundida que hizo, en la casa de Dios, de la cual había dicho Dios a David y a Salomón su hijo: En esta casa y en Jerusalén, la cual yo elegí sobre todas las tribus de Israel, pondré mi nombre para siempre;
Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses. et je n'ôterai plus le pied d'Israël de dessus la terre que j'ai assignée à vos pères, si seulement ils prennent garde à faire tout ce que je leur ai commandé par Moïse, selon toute la loi et les statuts et les ordonnances. neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land that I have appointed to your fathers; if they will only take heed to do all that I commanded them through Moses, according to all the law and the statutes and the ordinances. y nunca más quitaré el pie de Israel de la tierra que yo entregué a vuestros padres, a condición de que guarden y hagan todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, toda la ley, los estatutos y los preceptos, por medio de Moisés.c
So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel. And Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do more evil than the nations that Jehovah had destroyed from before the children of Israel.
And the Lord spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. Et l'Éternel parla à Manassé, et à son peuple ; mais ils n'y firent pas attention. And Jehovah spoke to Manasseh and to his people; but they did not hearken. Y habló Jehová a Manasés y a su pueblo, mas ellos no escucharon;
Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And Jehovah brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with fetters, and bound him with chains of brass, and carried him to Babylon. por lo cual Jehová trajo contra ellos los generales del ejército del rey de los asirios, los cuales aprisionaron con grillos a Manasés, y atado con cadenas lo llevaron a Babilonia.
And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, Et quand il fut dans la détresse, il implora l'Éternel, son Dieu, et s'humilia beaucoup devant le Dieu de ses pères, et le pria ; And when he was in affliction, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, Mas luego que fue puesto en angustias, oró a Jehová su Dios, humillado grandemente en la presencia del Dios de sus padres.
And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God. et il se laissa fléchir par lui, et écouta sa supplication, et le ramena à Jérusalem dans son royaume ; et Manassé reconnut que c'est l'Éternel qui est Dieu. and prayed to him. And he was intreated of him and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah, he was God.
Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah. And after this he built the outer wall of the city of David, on the west, toward Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance of the fish-gate, and carried it round Ophel, and raised it up a very great height; and he put captains of war in all the fortified cities of Judah.
And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city. And he removed the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built on the mount of the house of Jehovah and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
And he repaired the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel. And he reinstated the altar of Jehovah, and sacrificed on it peace-offerings and thank-offerings, and commanded Judah to serve Jehovah the God of Israel.
Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the Lord their God only. Nevertheless, the people sacrificed still on the high places, although to Jehovah their God only.
Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the Lord God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. And the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of Jehovah the God of Israel, behold, they are written in the acts of the kings of Israel.
His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers. And his prayer, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sin and his unfaithfulness, and the places in which he built high places, and set up Asherahs and graven images, before he was humbled, behold, they are written among the words of Hozai.
So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his stead. And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house; and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
Amon was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned two years in Jerusalem. Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
But he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them; Et il fit ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel, comme avait fait Manassé, son père ; et Amon sacrifia à toutes les images taillées que Manassé, son père, avait faites, et les servit ; And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah, as Manasseh his father had done; and Amon sacrificed to all the graven images that Manasseh his father had made, and served them.
And humbled not himself before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more. et il ne s'humilia point devant l'Éternel, comme Manassé, son père, s'était humilié ; car lui, Amon, multiplia son péché. And he did not humble himself before Jehovah, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; for he, Amon, multiplied trespass.
And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house. And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.
But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead. But the people of the land smote all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
